Everyone’s heard of the seven-year itch—the dreaded stage in a relationship where couples can grow antsy and lose interest. One stupid magazine article, luring her in with its catchy title, was all it had taken to turn Alison Evan’s life upside down.At the time, she’d only rolled her eyes and laughed at the list of red-flag signs it offered readers, warning of a cheating lover. After seven years … After seven years and two kids, her own marriage to Garrett was rock solid.
Or was it?
Because lately, that list didn’t seem so ridiculous. In fact, that list was mirroring her life.
Which was why, by employing some creative investigative skills and dragging her best friend along for the ride, Ali decided to find out once and for all…
Was the seven-year itch about to scratch out another relationship?

I’m grinning from ear to ear! This little quickie packs a punch and I loved every hilariously, delicious moment of it!
After reading an article outlining the signs of a cheating spouse, Ali realizes that she’s been seeing several of these red flags in her own marriage recently. Struggling with the evidence that’s in front of her, she sets out to find the truth as to why Garrett has been so inattentive lately. The result is a mad cap tumble into one escapade after another.
Mia was the perfect compatriot to the heroine and along with the sweet innocence of Ali and Garrett’s children, this story was well rounded. Filled with humor and plenty of the Sarah Curtis signature steam, it also had a strong heartfelt message. I loved every single moment of it!
I don’t know how I missed this story! Garrett and Ali have approached the seven year mark. Ali having read an article about the seven year it h, gets inside her head about what might be going on. I feel the love of the couple throughout the story. Garrett never waivers. I did also feel the anxiousness that Ali was going through. Great, sweet story it’s a great epilogue.
I thought I had read all of this author’s books but when it was announced that this book was going to be re-issued I jumped at the chance to read it. Seven Year Itch was a fun and sexy novella that I read in one sitting. And even though this was a much shorter story, we still get that swoony, dirty talking hero who is all alpha and the hilarious heroine who kept me snickering with her antics with her best friend. Granted I felt for Ali when she suspected Garrett was cheating on her, but I knew this author would not steer us wrong. And I was right, when we all figured out what Garrett was doing it made my heart swoon!
Another great read!
RATING 4.5
Seven Year Itch is a novella written in the Passion, Vows & Babies Kindle World by Sarah Curtis. This is a quick, fun sexy and steamy little book that made me smile, and maybe even swoon.
Garrett and Alison (Ali) Evans have been married for seven years and have two beautiful kids. Their marriage is solid, their love evident. And let me add, Garrett is a dirty boy! Garrett’s job is pretty demanding and Ali understands this. But after reading an article in a magazine about cheating husbands, she starts to overanalyze her husband’s behavior and doubts begin to form.
As her husband’s recent habits become more and more troubling, Ali decides to enlist the help of her best friend and do a little bit of investigating. Only, things don’t always go according to plan.
This was such a fun little book. Ali and Garrett definitely steamed up the pages. But they were also so sweet together. I sighed, more than once. If you are looking for a lighthearted, steamy little adventure, then this is definitely a great choice.
I loved this story. I mean, where else are you going to find the very real worries that go through a woman’s mind when that seventh year hits? Especially with magazines always blathering about it! So when Ali starts suspecting Garrett of being less than open and honest, I’m there for it. Similar to Mayra Statham’s Something Worth Saving, this is an established couple that may be heading for rocky waters, but communication could save the day. Could being the key word. Because Garrett isn’t so great at communicating, and Ali starts doubting everything about herself. But, as many married couples find, maybe those rocky waters are more like little waves and not rapids once everything comes out into the light. It only takes a little while to read this one and find out if love can endure in the face of doubt and a little too much faith in magazine nonsense.
“Suspicion was an evil thing, festering in the brain, and corrupting like a virus that had no cure.”

When I saw Sarah Curtis was releasing a book called Seven Year Itch, I was scared. We all know what the 7-year-itch is: “The dreaded stage in a relationship where couples can grow antsy and lose interest . . . for some couples, the struggle is real.” And having Ms. Curtis tackle such a subject in one of her stories had me nervous, surprised, and hesitant.
But, I dove in because Sarah Curtis has become an automatic one-click author for me.
And…I LOVED EVERY SINGLE MOMENT of her story.
It was enlightening, sweet, sexy, funny, and had that swoon-worthy moment(s) that all her books are known for. With this book, Ms. Curtis teaches us the power and effect of suspicion and doubt, that sometimes things aren’t what they seem, and that communication and trust is a must in every relationship.
