Book 5. As with many things in life, the Seven Wardens series gets better with age. Don’t get me wrong, books 1-4 are fantastic! This one just had me laughing more often and harder.
Macey keeps getting more kick ass. I still think Izban is dreamy but in this book, Malan had me busting a gut, I laughed so hard. This is a resounding must read.
Any hoo, if you like mythology or are curious about Scotland give this series a shot!
Oh….one last very important thing…..
**SPOILER ALERT**
Macey got her waffles !!!!!!! Thank you Dynamic Duo for writing them in for her.
Book 6. This book ends with a doozie of a cliffhanger. But before you get there…….
Queen Macey and her wardens really went through it in this Installment. So many trials & tribulations. Macey has brothers that want her throne, so much to deal with in the diamon world, they go to Greenland (though I’m not spoiling how or why they go there), friends are made & old friends are lost. The danger & action are tenfold in this installment.
Is their mission a success or failure??
Book 7. This is the final installment for the Seven Wardens series. This review will be short. I don’t believe in spoilers for a final book nor a first book for that matter. That being said……
This book, for me at least, wrapped up very nicely. Every storyline had it’s ending & I wasn’t left with any questions. That to me is a perfect finale.
Scottish mythology and folklore is something I am definitely interested in learning more about thanks to this Dynamic Duo of authors.
This whole series is extremely intriguing and highly recommend.
I’ll admit, this series was just so good and easy to read. I enjoyed it, quite rapidly on my part, through to the very end. Each book continues the push and pull of questions and answers while still providing good character/relationship development. With a fast pace and a bit of drama, the Seven Wardens series is an overall win. All the steamy bits were a bonus!
she is about to have her hands full as more friends needs helps while more enemies appear. life is about to keep her on her toes. Will she be able to help them? will she stop her enemies? Follow her to see how she gets on

I love when a series can be given or bought in a bundle. I initially read and reviewed the individual books.

OK, first off, you have to read the synopsis for the first 4 books at the beginning of this book. I don’t care if you just finished book 4 and you are binging the series, that synopsis is one of the funniest and most accurate I’ve ever read. If you read the first 4 books, you know exactly what you are getting into – fast paced action, dangerous missions, magical friends, and an amazing house – now with even more waffles, flirty banter, and yes magically enhanced ahem adult playtime.
I’m kind of torn on this one. On the one hand, it is an entertaining read, always something happening. In fact there are so many characters and challenges and plot-lines I was worried some of them would get forgotten. The final book actually does a great job pulling in and tying off thread from way back in the beginning even. So why am I torn? Because for all these side quests, they never really felt like they came together in to a cohesive whole. I didn’t feel like the characters were growing and building towards an epic conclusion. Yeah, there was a boss fight at the end it and it was rather spectacular, but it somehow didn’t feel like the culmination of everything they had been working towards. Not sure what it was missing.
So if you are looking for a YA read with adult level steam, this might be just the book for you. Light, easy to read, lots of friendship and plenty of challenges for Macey and her ever growing circle of friends, family, lovers and supporters to deal with.
This felt like a tangled mess. Like all myths where thrown around and linked weakly by whatever there was. I wouldn’t say I didn’t enjoyed this book at all. It was nice, but it made me fell like something was missing. Like there were too many elements and something was lost in the middle. It was sexy an Nessie story was the best, but it sure wouldn’t warrant a reread.
Oh my – I would like to say life interfered. But that wasn’t it at all. I enjoyed the series overall. But for me to take 15 days to read it; well; it just wasn’t keeping my attention enough to keep reading when I should be sleeping. The storyline and world making / characters were enjoyable. I did enjoy spending time with them. A lot of buildup going into the fight against evil. But in general I found the fight itself anticlimactic and quickly over. Thank you for the ARC and this is my honest review.

This review is for the last three books in this great series. We continue following Macey, the Kelpie Princess, as well as the wardens on their magical quests. This series has magic, adventure, and a bit of romance. I was sad for the series to end and I look forward to more books by this author!

This Omnibus is filled with books 5-7 and the prequel
5. Above the Waves
‘Above the Waves’ is book five in the “Seven Wardens” series by Laura Greenwood and Skye MacKinnon. If you’ve followed the series, then you know this will not be a standalone book. If not, then understand each book is built on the last so it’s best to read them in order. When you do, you’ll find Macey was definitely less likable in this storyline for a very good reason. The Mahoun has been destroyed but that still left Macey with a long to-do list; defeat his siblings, become Queen of the Kelpies, confront her mother about that little bombshell of a secret, decide how she feels about Luc, and, most importantly, spend a few minutes with her men and finally enjoy some waffles. ~Sigh~ After just a few hours she’s faced with more responsibilities and complications overtake her time again. This one seems to lack some of the spark and banter with the guys so hopefully, ‘Under the Ice’ will have a different feel to it. Still a good read with lots of action and adventure.
5.5 Below the Baubles
‘Below the Baubles’ by Laura Greenwood and Skye MacKinnon is book 5.5 in their “Seven Wardens” series. This can be read as a standalone, but you’ve already invested in the series and want every twist and turn that comes next if you’re like me. It’s a Christmas story with enough heat to keep anyone warm during the cold with Macey and her five men (yes, I said five) finding time before the current quest to spend time together. A garden gnome shows up at Macey’s door and explains he’s a Kabouter from Belgium working undercover as a garden gnome in Germany and needs their help containing Knecht Ruprecht, Saint Niklaus’ loyal servant who is running rogue, leaving several dead in his path. If you’re not familiar with Knecht Ruprecht, it’s part of German folklore. He works alongside Saint Niklaus doling out punishment for kids on the naughty list. Unfortunately, Ruprecht has become real. The entire series is filled with mythological and fantastical beings so having new folklore brought to life just keeps the intrigue and wonder alive.
6. Under the Ice
‘Under the Ice’ is Laura Greenwood and Skye MacKinnon’s sixth book in their “Seven Wardens” series and this one seems to take a more dramatic turn than previous ones. If you haven’t started this series yet, be warned, this is not standalone. Each book is built upon the last keeping the storyline flowing in chronological order. There’s a lot happening here. Macey’s father is killed making Macey Queen of the Selkies whether she wants the position or not. Her brothers are spreading rumors about the monarchy and trying to start a civil war. She’s being badgered about having a wedding. And a magical book comes into play. The best part? Macey learns she has to believe in herself and their mission wholeheartedly or magic will disappear from Earth forever. This one was quite exhilarating and kept me turning pages to see what would happen and where we would be taken next.
7. Rule the Dark
What an absolutely epic book with more action, adventure, drama, and emotion! Normally, I give a brief synopsis of what’s going on but, trust me when I say, you don’t want to miss one single word of this book. Questions are answered. Surprises are revealed. The entire tale comes full circle with such aplomb it was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing old and new friends versus old and new enemies. When good versus evil and I’m emotionally pulled into a story so much I can feel my emotions flow with the characters’ actions and reactions. What a great read!
.05 Beyond the Loch
‘Beyond the Loch’ is Laura Greenwood and Skye MacKinnon’s first book in their “The Seven Wardens” series and it’s so good. This prequel is a complete story about a young kelpie named Vanessa, aka Nessie, who leaves home for dry land in order to experience the world and ultimately finds a way to shift into human form. We see a ghost, sea kelpies, other humans, and even a human-kelpie hybrid …. Maybe. There’s a bit of history represented with the attire and modes of transportation along with a bit of romance which brings me to the one thing I kept wondering about. What about the pledge Nessie made to the sea kelpies and how would these authors tie that into the entire series? And then how would this tie together with Macey’s story? Fear not, our authors have brought it full circle at the end with important information that I’m sure we’ll need when the time comes.
Scottish mythology meets fantasy reverse harem with a dynamic plot with twists, turns, romance and a whole host of characters. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Here we have the conclusion of series. It’s hard to write a review withour spoilers, but I’ll try do it.
You do need to have read books 1-4 to appreciate this omnibus.
Here Laura Greenwood and Skye MacKinnon continue doing a great job in story development with humor, mystery, secrets, well developed characters, mythical, magical twists and so emotional, what kept me reading.
Now it’s time to warden complete their mission and try live with the consequences of it.
Loved the end of series and I’ll miss Macey and her friends in the journey to save the world (the eternal quest for waffles..hahaha)
If you enjoy RH romance and series steeped in mythology, I recommend that you start with book one, and enjoy the journey with Macey and her men.

Word has spread of what the Seven Wardens did, and now everyone has problems or politics to try and pull them into. Will they learn a new balance to these new demands? What adventures will they be dragged into this time? Or what dangers might find them? I loved the continuing adventures of the Seven Wardens, as an added bonus it also had a book on Nessie.

I like the ending of this series (and the included bonus novellas). There were times I was a bit annoyed with the characters and times that I really loved them. The story overall was a pretty good ride.

The book is a box set of the five through seven stories in the series. The book is a good, and enjoyable fun fantasy read with some steamy romance. The story has a good story line. The characters are good, and they have good chemistry.

There was alot happening and I almost lost interest to finish the series. But there were some thing that kept me reading. It’s har to write a review withour spoilers. All I’m gonna say is read this series, it has everything in terms of Reverse Harem, love, adventure, plots and twist, mythology, legends and more!!
Recived a ARC copy for a honest Review.
I really enjoyed the stories and wild ride these characters take you on. The writing has a flow that keeps you in the story. The characters are fun and they mesh well together to overcome some type of problem.

A great conclusion. As Macey deals with betrayal and loss, new information presents itself which just may be what’s needed to stop the blobs once and for all. Unfortunately, everything has a price and the Wardens must decide if they can pay it. This has been an amazing series full of action, adventure, danger, mystery and romance. I was thoroughly entertained from beginning to end and I look forward to reading more from this author. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
