opens with Days of the Week underwear and closes with a forty-year-old secret that refuses to stay submerged.
Thirty-four-year-old Vivi Tyler is living her nightmare: gay husband, self-harming teenager, melodramatic mother. They’re picking apart her sanity, one stitch at a time. She’s crawling along rock bottom when the arrival of a mysterious package opens a new door to a new country. A … opens a new door to a new country. A desperate Vivi dives headfirst into the quicksand that is Greece — her parents’ birthplace.
But it’s a paradise far from perfect, and instead of the new beginning she covets, Vivi discovers trouble is determined to keep her in its pocket. Soon she’s fighting for her daughter’s life in a Greek hospital, clashing with her Greek relatives, and cobbling together an inadequate cage around her heart, lest she fall for an unavailable man.
Before this story ends, somebody will be dead. And if some people are to be believed, this particular death is a good thing. A blessing, of sorts….

This was a good well written book. I found it interesting and I liked everything the characters went through. My favorite Character is the priest brother. Over-all good story. I wish there was a 4.5 star rating. For me to give something a 5 it has to be rocking.
This is the first book of this author that I read. Wanted to read other books she had written.
I loved the characters, the setting and the original storyline.
Loved this book, great to read of another culture and how they do things, believe, love and hate. It was amazingly wonderful!!! Love all the characters.
A fun and easy read
wonderful story of finding herself and learning much along the way
It was an entertaining book. My family is Greek so I thought it would be fun to read; it was.
I didn’t care for the writer’s style. I don’t mind steamy sex scenes or swearing, but the little part that I read, the swearing was just unnecessary and seemed like it was just thrown in. The characters weren’t quite developed yet, and having quick sex. This book wasn’t for me.
As soon as I saw this book was about Greece, I decided to read it. I am a big fan of the “Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants”, which highlights Greece’s picturesque side, and I really loved how I could envision the story so clearly like a very enterntaining rom-com.
This book also made me angry and tearful, not to mention laugh out loud, none Of …
I enjoyed this book–some of the humor is reminiscent of My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Learned a lot about Greek culture and language.
I loved Seven Days of Friday. The main character leaves her life in the US and moves back to her hometown in Greece with her teenage daughter. A new adventure with unexpected twists makes a great read.
This was different from most books I read so it was original for me; a page turner that was hard to put down. I looked forward to reading more each day. Will definitely follow this author!
I thought this was a fun book, a couple of laugh out loud moments.
I have absolutely loved all the Women in Greece series.!
Quick read. Made me want to travel to Greece. Interesting characters; sexy Dr., neurotic mothers, ex-husband & the main character in search of a new beginning.
Loved it!!
I like this book because the subject matter was interesting and it’s rasy reading
Was ok
Love the author’s style of writing, love the characters!
I wanted to learn more about Greece, but I didn’t. I did learn more about Greek people. But I wonder if they are really as portrayed.
