With their savings quickly running out, Twyla takes a position at the local sex shop—where she meets Seth, a man who is all too willing to show her what she’s been missing out on.

As most of the books I recommend this one has an amazing damsel in distress story with an Alpha hero, but he’s patient and kind too. It touches on BDSM a bit, but he’s not pushy about his desires at all, in fact doesn’t do anything like that until toward the end of the book. I loved both the heroine and Hero together and of course the suspense was well done too. Highly recommend!
KD Robichaux books are amazing. I recently started reading them and I couldn’t put this down because the story is so gripping.
An absolutely amazing read, loved the nerd in both the H and h.
Well paced storyline and engaging characters made for an enjoyable read.
The book focuses on Twyla and Seth, Twyla moves with her sister Astrid who is escaping from an abusive relationship and to earn money Twyla begins to work at a sex toy shop the only problem is she’s a virgin and has no idea what these toys do or look like which is where Seth comes in and he is a regular customer as he buys for his club Club Alias. He offers Twyla lessons on these sex toys so it can help her work. This story is really fascinating, it was so nice to see BDSM correctly, obviously from when Fifty Shades was released which is mentioned in the book, and I know that people from the community wasn’t pleased with the representation that was in 50 shades, so this was a very different read. I loved how they represented the BDSM community. A very safe place and there is a process to joining the club including that they have to

I loved how they represented the BDSM community. A very safe place and there is a process to joining the club including that they have to undergo therapy sessions with the doc before they can join. So that was a great part of this, I figured that would be the first thing that I actually mention in the review.
I loved seeing a virgin character in this novel and it wasn’t shown as weird the fact a grown woman was still a virgin and I really loved the innocence of Twyla and that even with her embarrassment of not knowing any of the sex toys she is still willing to do it for her sister. Her character made me laugh and smile and the fact she was focused on her career when she was younger and the fact she was willing to drop that for to protect her sister Astrid. It was a nice change of character from the usual ones I have been reading lately. She is definitely a favourite character for 2017!
Seth was so charming and the fact he wanted to help Twyla was so sweet and how their relationship grew with each chapter it made my heart warm and how honest he was with her when it came to the other side of his business to Club Alias. I liked the character building and that we got a bit more insight with both of these characters as it is a dual point of view. I liked his relationship with the doc too!
The Doc is my favourite person in this novel like side character wise his humour and the fact he knows Seth so well and then he’s there for Astrid and it was so cute! I wanted to know everything about him and it was lovely how he was although a side character also important in the story especially with Seth and learning to adjust his feelings for Twyla.
I loved all the pop culture references that whole scene of friends just made me smile, I love seeing pop references in the story and especially the ones I know!
This book combines all of my favorite things into one amazing story! Insta-love, strong female lead, amazing male character, a dabbling of BDSM (but nothing too extreme), and plenty of LOLs. Twyla is an amazing, giving woman who is very naive and inexperienced. Seth (or Seven) is a jovial man full of pop culture references. I love how they are together, and how he appreciates her naivete. I love how he takes one look at Twyla and instantly knows that she is important to him. I can’t count the number of times I laughed out loud at their conversations. Twyla and Seth are an amazing couple.
There are many happy times, as well as a few tense times in the story. There are good friends, and also a villain. The story flowed well, from beginning to end, and I would recommend it to anyone!
Oh my what can I say about this book? Hmm well I guess I’ll go with that it’s freaking fantastic!! KD Robichaux just keeps getting better and better with each book she writes. The way she’s able to transport you into the reality she’s created is flawless, I had to pause several times to look up and make sure to see where I was actually at because it felt so real, and that’s pure talent when an author is able to do that to you.
The story between Seven aka Seth and Doll aka Twyla is so beautiful. I laughed, I cried, I yelled, I giggled like a hyena. And the quotes from all these movies makes me want to pull out every single movie mentioned and watch them. 🙂
I absolutely loved this book! I wish I was able to give this book more than five measly stars because I think it deserves 20 or more because it’s just that good… Yep I think I found my second favorite out of all of KD’s books (The Bloggers Diaries is and will always be my number 1 favorite). 🙂
I highly recommend you read Seven heck I highly recommend you read all of KD Robichaux’s books because she’s utterly fantastic at weaving her stories. Try her work if you’ve never read any of her books because there’s no harm in trying and I can actually guarantee that you won’t be disappointed in the choices that you make at all.
I absolutely fell in love with Seth! It’s not often you get a comedian and a dom in the same person 🙂 I loved all the movie references and especially how Seth got his dom name. Seth and Twyla played off of each other very well, balancing the innocence with the master. This was my first book of Kayla’s, but it definitely will not be my last!
Never thought I’d be laughing at a BDSM book. Seth/Seven is quite the character, and Twyla is just perfect for him. But I had to chuckle at Twyla working in a sex toy shop when she’s a complete virgin. These two just draw you in and you just have to know where it’s going to go next. Love that Doc was in this book too. I hope Doc’s book is next, he is just one of my favorites out of the Club Alias men. Course I love them all and eagerly wait to see what KD Robichaux writes next.
