Life is a bitch. Keeps screwing me over, and I take blow after blow, sucking it up, giving her the finger.
Don’t get me wrong: I love women. Especially one woman – Madeline. She’s gorgeous, she’s sexy, she’s goddamn perfect.
Plus – minor detail – she has a boyfriend already.
Not that she’d want anything to do with the likes of me. … to do with the likes of me. Apprentice tattoo artist, former homeless person, covered in ink, without a penny to my name.
And sort of cursed. I mean, I’d be lucky to run into a girl, any girl, on my way in and out of hospitals with the way life has been knocking me about lately.
But I’m not lucky. Never was. Doesn’t look like that’s gonna change any day soon, either.
Until the day the girl of my dreams literally runs into me. With her car.
Life hates me, and if this isn’t a clue, then I don’t know what is.
Standalone novel. No cliffhanger.
Warning: this book contains graphic language, sex, and violence. Mature readers only. Not intended for young readers.

love these men so much, they are so addicting! I love how these men are damaged and these amazing women help them. Seth and Manon are so good together! They are two very different people, but I love how they met and connected. The way they met really made them have a special bond.
Just like with the other couple these two were pretty stubborn, but they were probably the worst. Both of them really thought the other didn’t want them, and neither of them thought to maybe ask. They were both silly. The different troubles these two go through in this book are really different, but I love how they both helped each other heal. Seth had gone through so much growing up, it’s amazing him and Shane turned out to be as normal as they did.
I love how this story played out, just as much as the others, but each one is so special in the own way. I love these two a lot and now I’m even more curious about Cassie and about Shane. Both have me so curious and both seem super broken.
Seth and Manon are doing it Henry Higgins and Eliza Doolittle style. For, Manon and Seth the hits just keep on coming. Manon is “seeing” Fred but he treats her like a fragile virgin and its starting make her doubt her desirability and skills and then when her dreams to be a Prima Ballerina goes up in smoke her life really isn’t working out how she planned. When she meet Seth she feels the burning needs that have been missing with Fred and when he offers to teach her all he knows… how’s a girl to turn down such an offer. Seth has burned for Manon since he first laid eyes on her but he thinks he isn’t good enough for her and she has Fred anyways so on he just really is the unluckiest guy out there. With his troubled past and crappy present he doesn’t have much to offer but he can teach her even if it will benefit someone else in else in the long run. So they see that perfect doesn’t always have to fit a definition and that sometimes opposites really do attract.
Ohhh!! Seth and Mignon, I’m in love with this series. It’s storyline, the narrative and the characters are amazing. I listened to this book on Audible and the narrators are so talented! This series is a definite must read/listen.
I really love Seth. I didn’t care much for Manon through a good portion of the book. She felt a little judgmental, and I disliked the way she was extremely hot then cold. Seth has had a string of bad luck, he was beaten badly in both Micah and Jesse’s books. He doesn’t feel he deserves anything good for himself. Manon is struggling with having to change the path her life was on. She starts hanging out with Seth when she almost hits him with her car. Even though I wish Manon would have pulled her head out of her behind sooner, I enjoyed this book.
Just when I think Jo Raven can’t possibly write more intense or compelling characters that damn near shatter my heart, I’m wrong. Her writing is real and passionate. Her stories are definitely not sunshine and puppies but I crave them just the same. Seth was such a broken man, but he was strong and you felt everything he did; his pain, sadness, and his heartbreak. So needless to say, seeing him get his HEA was so worth the journey. I can’t wait for Shane’s story. I know that it will kill me but it will be so worth it. Thank you again Jo Raven.
Oh how I loved Seth and this story!! Loved Seth with Madeline together.
They are such strong people underneath and to see them come together made them even stronger, they completed each other. I loved this story so much.
It was sweet, hot and oh so good! I even had tears in my eyes during Seth’s story.
I really enjoyed reading this book, like I did this series.
This one is definitely on top of my favourites and can’t wait to read the next one 🙂
