USA Today bestselling author Jennifer Bernard is hotter than ever with a sexy new series about the wildfire fighters of Jupiter Point.
The town bad boy is back to clear his name
Firefighter Sean Marcus left Jupiter Point thirteen years ago in disgrace, but now he’s coming home to set the record straight. As the leader of the new Jupiter Point Hotshots wildfire crew, he’s out to prove he’s no … crew, he’s out to prove he’s no longer the troubled boy who fled after a night of shocking violence. He’s returned for one reason only–and it’s not to fall in love. But that plan goes up in smoke the minute he sets eyes on Evie McGraw, all grown up and gorgeous.
The town sweetheart has a secret
Evie has never spoken about the night that changed her life. But she can’t escape it, especially now that her brother’s wild friend Sean is back. Rugged, sexy and impossible to ignore, he’s the only one who knows what truly happened. Evie gave up everything to protect her family, but now, she has to make a choice. Keep silent…or put her heart on the line and let Sean help heal the past?

Wow what a great beginning. I love how Ms. Bernard pulls you into the characters stories, not just the romance but their whole lives. The setting is so realistically written I want to visit. With Set The Night on Fire we are introduced to a new team of smoke jumpers, and I can’t wait to see what Ms. Bernard has in store for this team, men and women, next. Fans of great writing with a romance that’s hot but also touches on some strong and tough emotions will be thrilled with this read. I recommend you plan to read this one in one setting. It’s a keeper shelf book. I can’t wait for the next story! Write faster Ms. Bernard, write faster!
Poignant story about how we allow others to manipulate how we feel about ourselves. Also allowing those thoughts to affect our growth and happiness. The respect and character shown by Sean helps Evie overcome her fears and leads to a very sweet HEA!
Loved book 1 in the series!
This whole series is such a fun read. I am still reading them. I haven’t gotten to the final book yet!
I can’t wait to read more of this series. Sean returns to Juniper Point and has to convince the town that he is not the trouble maker he was when he was a boy. He has made a good life for himself as a fire jumper. He is now leading a team in Juniper Point. He meets up with Evie, who was his high school friend’s sister. She and Sean share a secret of what happened to Evie when she was fourteen. That secret could now hurt the city’s Golden boy, Brad, who is running for public office. Will Brad’s threats keep them from telling the truth of what happened years ago? Will it also keep Sean and Evie apart?

Great book feelings you can really your right in the action. Thx
Firefighter stories are always good!
Wonderful story with very likeable, relatable characters. They show that finding work that you love and being true to yourself can reward you with excellent reputations and rewarding relationships.
Easy read hard to put down with added spice!

I liked this book. It was well written. Liked the characters.
Interesting and captivating, unable to put it down.
Enjoyed the story
I enjoyed reading this book. The characters were interesting and likeable
Quick easy read, kind of adolescent.
Enjoyed the characters and story. Made me want to read more about the characters.
Set the Nigh on Fire was my first book by Jennifer Bernard and I can guarantee it will not be my last! Where have I been and why have I not read her work before?! Well, that stops now – I can assure you of that.
I was drawn in from the very beginning and fell in love with not only the main characters, Sean and Evie, but all the supporting characters as well. Jennifer’s writing is so realistic and descriptive you feel like you are right there with them, that you are part of this community, that these are your friends and family. I was emotionally invested with these characters, their lives, their stories, the battles they had to overcome.
Jennifer broaches some emotional and tough situations and tells the story with an honest, raw, emotional approach that tugs at your heart. You can feel their pain, the hurt, the anger, the confusion…but you also experience their growth, the understanding, their triumphs, and most of all – their love.
It really is an incredible adventure that I’m so glad I took. This is an exceptional start to what I’m sure will be an amazing series. The sparks between Josh and Suzanne were electric and their banter was witty, sarcastic, and full of sexual chemistry. I’m excited their story is next and I can’t wait to read about all of these hotshots.
This is a definite must read!
Good read. Fun read. Nice storyline. Good characters.
Honestly I was a little bored. There was sort of a story but the author didn’t have the nerve to go for it.
