USA Today bestselling author Jennifer Bernard is hotter than ever with a sexy new series about the wildfire fighters of Jupiter Point.
The town bad boy is back to clear his name
Firefighter Sean Marcus left Jupiter Point thirteen years ago in disgrace, but now he’s coming home to set the record straight. As the leader of the new Jupiter Point Hotshots wildfire crew, he’s out to prove he’s no … crew, he’s out to prove he’s no longer the troubled boy who fled after a night of shocking violence. He’s returned for one reason only–and it’s not to fall in love. But that plan goes up in smoke the minute he sets eyes on Evie McGraw, all grown up and gorgeous.
The town sweetheart has a secret
Evie has never spoken about the night that changed her life. But she can’t escape it, especially now that her brother’s wild friend Sean is back. Rugged, sexy and impossible to ignore, he’s the only one who knows what truly happened. Evie gave up everything to protect her family, but now, she has to make a choice. Keep silent…or put her heart on the line and let Sean help heal the past?

Beautiful romance, with some steamy scenes!
Set the Night on Fire is the story of Sean Marcus & Evie McGraw. Sean was Evie’s brother’s friend. After his parents were killed in a plane crash, Sean went to live with the McGraw’s until he disappeared. When Sean came back, he was a hero & in charge of creating a hotshot team in Jupiter Falls. He wants to prove to the town that he isn’t a screwup.
Evie has opened a gallery in her hometown showcasing photographs. She dreamed of traveling the world taking pictures but gave that up to help take care of her mother after her diagnosis of Parkinson’s. Sean saved her one night & is the only one that knows what happened. Sparks fly when Evie & Sean meet back up again. The chemistry between them is hot & intense. Will Sean gain the respect of the town? Will Evie keep her secret or realize it’s time to stand her ground & let it out?
Jennifer Bernard has a talent for drawing the readers into the story & her characters lives from the very beginning. By putting Sean in a life or death situation, she’s ramped up the danger in the first chapter & has the reader emotionally vested in his survival. She then keeps you involved with every twist & turn on Evie & Sean’s journeys. Evie is on a journey of self discovery. She needs to learn that what happened wasn’t her fault & that it is time to live & love again. Sean’s journey is to get past the shame of his childhood & open his eyes to the truth. He is worthy of love & the town has always supported him.
The characters are well thought out & realistic. The narrative is descriptive & paints the scenery in your mind as you read. I could place myself in each scene & watch it all unfold. The sex scenes were loving & tasteful, even when Sean was still trying to say he wasn’t in love. The tenderness he felt was written into every gesture & action. The supporting characters give depth & richness to the story & lead to a number of follow up books. I loved Josh & his interactions with Evie’s cousin Suzanne. His quick wit & sarcastic humor gave a lightness to scenes that were dark with tension. I can’t wait to read the story of Suzanne & him. I would recommend you settle down with this book when you have time to read it from cover to cover. I couldn’t put it down.
I was given an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest opinion.
Fast read, enjoyable book.
Loved the story line and the characters.

Loved
I would recommend this book
Love this series, once you start you need to keep going. Can’t wait for the next book!
Good read!
Okay. Pretty run of the mill contemporary romance.
Sean Marcus returns to Jupiter Point, after thirteen years. He’s heading up the Jupiter Point Hotshots. Evie McGraw is finally attracted to a man, after her experience with Brad White, the night before Sean left. I absolutely love this series and I can’t wait to read all the books. No spoilers, but if you love hot, alpha fire fighters and the women that bring them to their knees, you will fall in love with all these characters. Grab your copy and see what happens.
Great book!!!
Very good read. The story was so realistic that you would think that it was true. The way that the writer wrote the storyline you would think that she did some serious research to get the story to come together so good.
A well crafted and original storyline. The characters are all endearing, except one, and the Jupiter Point hotshots are witty, loyal and just plain hot. Looking forward to the rest of the series.
I enjoyed this book very much, the first of this author I’ve read. It made me “save” the rest of the books in the series for further reading! I love stories with wildland firefighters, as I was one at one time, and yes, the men are all muscle, as we hear repeatedly! Just enough lust, love, and sex to make it mildly spicy, a good story.
Set the Night on Fire: It was an amazing love story! Characters had a very strong bond. I loved how Evie reacted to Sean coming back to Jupiter Point. I loved that they could talk about anything together that is great for a relationship. They were perfect couple to fall in love and he knew what was right and wrong for it to work. He was a strong listener and that is very good. I loved that he was a fighter that loves his job and the people he worked with. It had great emotion throughout the book and you didn’t know really what was going to happen and I loved it. Wonderful Dialog throughout the book. I could not put it down it was so good.
I enjoyed reading this book. It was a bit predictable but that was okay in a “looking for a steamy outlet” sort of read. Found the typographical errors annoying.
Excellent writing..great mixture of romance, suspense and a good dose of humor in this series. I’m only on book 4 of 7. Each is a stand alone, but makes you want to go right into the next book…
