As it turns out quilting is the deadly new fad people are just dying to try… And here I thought the annual quilt auction would be a boring way to spend an evening! One big murder in my tiny hometown was more than I ever wanted to see, but now the death toll has risen to two. Eek!Hey, at least I’ve got my favorite ten-pound bundle of mischief at my side for good. My Jack Russell buddy, Pip, and I … buddy, Pip, and I are experienced amateur detectives now and we’re more than ready to put another tough case to bed.
The problem is that the murder victim had no known enemies, which begs the question: Who would actually want her dead? For this tricky catering gig, it looks like we’ll be serving up suspects instead of dessert. Can we catch the killer in time to save the fundraiser… and maybe even some lives along the way?

Another enjoyable read in the Little Dog Diner series. Newly renovated, the Little Dog Diner has a catering gig at the annual quilt auction. Stumbling upon another murder, Dani and her Jack Russell sidekick Pip, put their amateur detective hats back on in an attempt to find the murderer, save the fundraiser, and possibly, lives. Great characters.
Dani and her grandmother, Rose, along with Dani’s terrier, Pip, are once again looking into a murder. It’s time for the annual quilt auction which is being held at the home of a local woman. When Dani and her business partner/friend, Lily, drop off the desserts for the event, they find a body. Can Dani put the clues together before someone else is killed?
This is a fun, enjoyable read and is a great second book in a series. It’s well-written with well-rounded characters you’ll love getting to know. I’m very eager for the next book. I highly recommend both book and series which I suggest you read in order.
This was an entertaining, cute story. Dani stumbles across another murder and finds herself involved in solving the mystery. I enjoyed this story and would read more books in this series.
Everybody is back in Book 2 of the Little Dog Diner series. Dani and Lily stumble upon another murder and Dani is determined to figure out whodunit. There were plenty of twists and turns to keep me guessing with a few red herrings thrown in for good measure. The story moves at a good pace and held my interest. I didn’t care for Maggie. She was too brash for my taste. I don’t see her and AJ as a couple. There were a few loose ends that weren’t explained. They were just forgotten. That is what kept me from giving the book 5 stars.
This story has some very quirky characters, that’s includes are resident catering detective. The police detective is chased by a private eye. Our heroine has her eye of an old beau. The woman sponsoring the quilting auction is an overachiever. Our murder victim is a dishrag. The nosy neighbor is a delightful old woman who watches life from her window due to her inability to walk more than 100 feet without help. Each character has their own quirk and makes the story fun. The murderer, well, I got who it was by all his lies.
This is another cute, funny, mysterious mystery. I had no idea “who done it” till the last few pages. Didn’t guess the reason for the murder either. Course that reason wasn’t revealed till near the end. Love Pip, the little dog. Wish he has a bigger part in the book. I received an ARC. This is my honest, voluntary opinion.
Emmie Lyn is a new to me author but one I thoroughly enjoyed. This book has the perfect combination of characters, plot, twists and romance. Who would have thought a quilt auction could be dangerous. Good fun read.
Dani and Pip make a great amateur detective team. Very entertaining and witty mystery based in Blueberry Bay which is a tight-knit community with open book neighbors always ready to pitch in the time of need. Very well written, plot flows well and very enjoyable story. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation from the author.
Another great mystery by Emmie Lyn! Such great characters, my favorite in this story is Mrs. Cross. I enjoyed this neighbor, she didn’t miss anything and was so sweet. The mystery was so good and so exciting how it played out. I love reading books by Emmie Lyn, they are fun and always entertaining!
Was given a complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.
I really enjoy the mysteries in this series, trying to see if I solve it correctly.
Hangin out with Dani, Lily, Luke, awesome Grandma Rose, Maggie, even AJ. I liked getting to know Rudy and even felt a tad sorry for him, his brother Robby? Not so much.
I love how Pip takes care of Dani & Rose, knowing who can be trusted like Alice, what a cute character, or not like the guilty party.
Reading about the sweet treats they make and enjoy, makes my mouth drool, yummy.
On to the next book in the series! Keep ’em coming.
Another fun read with a more complicated mystery and interesting characters although I am not sure I like them all.
I volunteer to read an ARC and this is my honest opinion.

Grab your copy today and enjoy the thrill of hunting down a killer and getting the chaos under control so their small town can be like it was.
A quick read with interesting characters and witty dialogue. Dani finds another dead body and with the help of her grandma Rose and dog Pip, she noses her way through to clues to figure out the mysteries.
A mystery with drama, suspense, twists and turns, murder, and several characters trying to figure out who done it. It’s a great book.Very entertaining. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and gave my honest opinion.
When Dani and Lily go to Sue Ellen’s house to deliver the sweets for the auction to collect money for the library they find a corpse inside a persian rug. Some chocolate smear, a neighbour with free time and a pair of binoculars, a twin brother and Dani sleuth skills will solve this mystery.
This is a great, cozy mystery full of fun characters or interesting ones and a lot of twists and turns to keep you engaged and entertained. I enjoyed that there were a lot of possible suspects and that I had a hard time figuring out who killed her and why. I received an advance copy of this book and I willing left an honest review.
