Vampire hunter Anita Blake has always managed to overcome everything she faces. But this time there’s a monster that even she doesn’t know how to fight…A remote Florida island is the perfect wedding destination for the upcoming nuptials of Anita’s fellow U.S. Marshal and best friend, Edward. For Anita, the vacation is a welcome break, as it’s the first trip she gets to take with just … with just wereleopards Micah and Nathaniel. But it’s not all fun and games and bachelor parties…
In this tropical paradise, Micah discovers a horrific new form of lycanthropy, one that has afflicted a single family for generations. Believed to be the result of an ancient Greek curse, it turns human bodies into a mass of snakes.
When long-simmering resentment leads to a big blow-up within the wedding party, the last thing Anita needs is more drama. But it finds her anyway when women start disappearing from the hotel, and worse, her own friends and lovers are considered the prime suspects. There’s a strange power afoot that Anita has never confronted before, a force that’s rendering those around her helpless. Unable to face it on her own, Anita is willing to accept help from even the deadliest places. Help that she will most certainly regret—if she survives at all, that is…

I love the Anita Blake series. Laurell writes these characters so well you believe you know them as well as your family. Serpentine was great because we got more drama with Edward and his family. Fun and entertaining.
I love this series and Anita Blake the main character. This book took a different twist than her usual books do with Anita. I can’t wait for the next book and to see Anita finally married to all her fiancees.
Edward and Donna are getting married or are they?
Anita is the Best Man haha. Micah and Nathaniel are off with her to Sunny Florida for some alone time while they wait for wedding day but as we know with any of them no vacation is about relaxation or alone time.
The Four Horseman are once again on a mission dealing with creepy crawlies.
Although this was not supposed to be a working vacation.
True to form this author doesn’t disappoint and I ended up getting the audible version but then a friend gifted me the Kindle Version so I read and listened and let me tell you that was fantastic.
In this story, we get action, suspense and a whole lot of hotness.
I loved it and can’t wait for more…
Anita, Micah and Nathaniel head to the Florida Keys for Ted/Edward’s wedding, and of course work intrudes on their romantic vacation. Facing an ancient enemy, will Anita be able to protect her men? And even more, will she be able to protect herself from Olaf?
This is more of a return to the earlier book style, more action and less sex, but there is plenty of sex.
Well written as always, keeps you guessing what happens next, can’t wait until next book!
Always waiting for the next one in this series I quickly jumped in. This one grabbed me right away with a puzzle they are faced with but are supposed to be having a wedding soon. Hard to believe still Edward is about to be lassoed but not a easy time of it because hey it is Edward after all. When things start going awry you will quickly feel as if you never left Anita and her world this time is spent with a few favorites. The puzzle is one that you too are trying to put together but easy it is not. When you are so deep in not coming out anytime soon the pieces start to come together with when you start to see the answers you get smacked for sure. The heat delightful as always but sometimes you wanted to smack the character that caused trouble between all and tell the future mrs. that enemies are nicer at times than that friend. Another one quickly gorged on so back to waiting again.
