A cold-blooded killer has blazed a trail of dead bodies across the country, with no one to stand in his way…until he starts killing on Shelby Alexander’s home turf: the small Michigan town of Serenity.A killer with a trail of dead bodies has come to Serenity, seeking to slake his thirst for death. As the first unspeakable murder shocks the sleepy Michigan town, the local media demands answers. … the local media demands answers. Sheriff Wilkes, the crooked young lawman, targets Shelby Alexander, whose only crime is being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Shelby moves quickly to clear his name, even as the killer closes in on his next victim…and this time it’s personal.
The second book in the Shelby Alexander Thriller Series, Serenity Stalked takes readers inside the mind of a terrifying killer. The stakes have never been higher.

Another highly entertaining thriller…
This story picks up soon after the conclusion of the first book in the series. The same major characters are back and are more fully developed as the story unfolds. Instead of drug dealers, the antagonist in this story is a serial killer who becomes fixated on Shelby’s girlfriend, Carly. This is another of Mr. Hart’s fast-paced, action-packed thrillers but this one has, in my opinion, a creepier vibe to it given the insights into the mind of the killer stalking Carly. Like the first book in the series, this is a novella which can be read/listened to in one sitting if desired. One thing of curious note to me is that the e-book versions of these stories both have some coarse language, but the audio version of both stories seem to have been rewritten replacing a variety of curse words with the f-word. There were cases in which the substitution seemed fitting to the circumstances but other times I thought the original wording was more suitable to the situation (and less repetitive). It is a small thing but seemed noticeable when reading along with the audio version. This story did have a great hook at the end to compel readers to continue with the series, but the major conflict of the story is resolved so I would not call it a true cliffhanger ending. Regardless, this is another gripping story to thrill and entertain enthusiasts of this genre.
While I did purchase a copy of this book, the author gifted me with a code for the audio version and the above is my honest and unbiased review.
Shelby Alexander is an ex boxer/fixer. He is having a relationship with Shelby who is 30 yes younger than him. When a serial killer comes to town and stalks Shelby and tries to pin a murder on Shelby he works to set it right.
The end showdown was a nail biter! The killer was exceptional horrible. The ending was poetic! I really liked this book and am now hooked on the series!
This book is the second book in The Shelby Alexander Thriller series.
I will be reading book 1 of this series and any others that exist. Shelby Alexander is a retired fighter. He moved to a small town in the middle of nowhere called Serenity. This is equivalent to calling a 7 foot man Shorty. Very little serenity exists. A Fixer is Shelby Alexander’s second career. A serious problem falls in his lap so to speak. This incident begins a snowball of crime and death. Nothing is obvious in this book. I had no problem following this book but I can’t wait to read the first book.
I would like to thank the author, Craig A. Hart, for introducing me to this addictive series.

This is the second book in the Shelby Alexander series and an enjoyable addition.
A serial killer is hunting in Serenity and his moves leave Shelby Alexander under suspicion for murder. Once the killer realizes the focus is on Shelby, he plots to frame him even further. This isn’t really a mystery per se as the killer has nearly as many chapters as Shelby does, but there is enough action and intrigue to keep the listener engaged. It’s a quick listen and I enjoyed it.
Theo Holland continues to be an excellent choice for this book. He sounds like how I imagine a 50+ former bad boy but trying to just get some peace and quiet man should sound. He gave all the characters unique voices and his accents were nice without being comical. I’m definitely looking forward to hearing more from him.
I received a free copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Oh my gosh, this series was absolutely fantastic. Each book kept me involved, interested and excited to keep reading. This series was soooo good! Well worth the read.
Night at Key West – While not in the same ballpark as the Shelby series and lots better than the Assignment series, this is a good start to a new series. Set in 1937 and using real background material, Mr. Hart weaves a substantially interesting and partly humorous story. All the characters are interesting, quirkly in some cases, but all hold the reader’s interest, along with their realistic dialog. The story lines are entertaining and well thought out; yes, there are a few kinks, but the story moves along at a good pace. Key West has always been interesting during this time period and Mr. Hart keeps that interest going with this story. 5*
Serenity series:
Serenity #1 – A great read. A well written, action packed suspense story that draws you in and doesn’t let go until you’ve finished the book. The characters range from likable to despicable, all believable and make you respond to them. 5*
Serenity Stalked #2 – Fast paced but a cliffhanger. A well written suspense, darker than Serenity, heavy with vulgar language. The plot and characters keep you reading until the end. Rather short in length and a cliffhanger ending, although this subject of this story is complete. In the Serenity series, the author has some real doozies for villains for the main characters to fight. 5*
Serenity Avenged #3 – Dark but complete. A well written, but dark, suspense that grabs you and doesn’t let go. Surprisingly light with the vulgar language, Serenity Stalked had too much, but contained the darkness found in the short stories of The Girl Who Read Hemingway. If you like one of these books, you’ll like the other. The darkness was not graphic. Although picks up where S. Stalked ended, this novel has closure. 5*
Serenity Submerged #4 – Fast paced story. Another well written, action packed suspense story that keeps you reading until the story ends, which was all too soon. The characters are believable and real, and the twisting plot is riveting. I haven’t been disappointed with any of the author’s books that I’ve read so far. 5*
Serenity Engulfed #5 – Another dynamic addition to the Serenity Family. Another well written, fast paced, suspense filled novel with our favorite characters Shelby and Mack and some not so favorite; but without them there’s no intriguing book to read. There’s a new sheriff in town and she and Shelby are learning to play nice together, with Mack’s help. The ending makes me wonder what kind of trouble Shel and Mack will face in the future. I contacted the author to review his books and have enjoyed them all. 5*
I contacted the author to review his books after reading the first two books of the Serenity Series.
Serenity series: End.

sucks
Lightweight.
Good read
super great
I really like all the serenity books, this one was a real grabber if you like sixpence and intelligent police action you will love this book.
A good, fast-paced thriller. This is the second in the Shelby Alexander series. I am looking forward to reading the third. I like Shelby and his young girlfriend, Carly.
Enjoyed the book,
It was OK. Not very deep or engaging. I wouldn’t read any more in the series.
Never really got into the book, it just didn’t catch me from the start.
The book never truly developed the characters, they all seemed very shallow, no depth. I found myself constantly setting this book down as I just didn’t care much about what happened to them.
Great story teller
Was scary but beautifully written.
