Just not my kind of novel
Some whimsical type situations, but unrealistic overall.
I think the author tried to put too many quirks and oddities into one story. There were some characters that I could see why others were comparing this to a Stephanie Plum story but overall it was only an okay book in my opinion.
Too long and involved in solving murder.
This is a pleasant, humorous, slow flowing murder mystery. I enjoyed it.
The mystery was good but the main character, Mira, gave me a headache with all her rushing around. The more I read this book the more I felt that the author had an agenda. The remarks made about meat and dairy products was nauseating. I get having the people against bad farming practices picket the fair. I understand there are corporations doing bad research and covering it up. But to keep making gross remarks about the meat and dairy was too much. If she does not want to eat this food fine but other people do and they do not need her view point disguised as a mystery. I will not be reading another book by this author, I don’t need any more food groups ruined by her.
