Brilliant deal from this author.
Such a brilliant way to get all these books together to read in order and at your leisure.
I have read and written independent reviews for each book but love having them all together like this.
1 – BRAVO BEAR
This book is a part of an extension of the Genesis Valley storyline.
The fight against the Agency is continuing with more of the diabolical things happening to shifters being revealed.
I really loved that Maddison was so smart, centred and capable of putting others ahead of herself instead of doing a TSTL antic. THEN later in the book she goes and does what other stupid heroines before her have done, a TOO STUPID TO LIVE act. She had no idea what the serum would do to her. Luckily it all worked out very well for everyone and Maddy came across as a brave risk taker rather than stupid.
Conner is a trained warrior and was a really nice guy who wants to do his absolute utmost to protect shifters that are being harmed and killed. He was nothing but good to Maddy.
Lots of story and action but very light on the romance and them getting to know each other. Sex but not romance.
I was really shocked that Flint turned out to be a baddie. An interesting ending to take us even further.
An enjoyable next instalment in this overall series of Genesis Valley themed books.
2 – BLACKBLOOD BEAR
Another good read from this author.
Justin is a trained sentinel operative who is struggling with the killing side of what he has to do. Whilst I commend him for these feelings I think Shay put it best, if he didn’t do what he did more shifters would die.
Shay was a cracker and I really enjoyed her abilities being utilised.
I did not feel there was a lot of interaction between our two H’s. They did meet and it was coming along nicely but then all of a sudden we are near the end of the book and they profess they love each other. Little too rushed and lacking commitment for me.
Whilst I really enjoyed this book and the continuation of the background story I was miffed at our heroine Shays’ stupidity. Going back to where she was threatened at gunpoint is not smart, especially as she is looking for a father she has rarely interacted with. Why the big deal to find him? Sounds like she is better off without the waste of space in her life.
But saying that her actions did help the Underground gain the upper hand with and more information on The Agency.
Unfortunately, The Agency is not finished so we get more books. YAH.
This is my honest review of this book.
3 – SILVER BULLET BEAR
A great new addition to this series.
We get new protagonists and antagonists which leads to lots of action.
A simple body guarding job becomes so much more for Josh when he meets Hannah, one very interesting lady. Josh is his normal lovely self, just gets the job done on his own or with the help of his team.
Hannah was a great surprise and I do love a woman who can kick ass.
A couple of times I did wonder where this story was going and I was pleasantly surprised.
The romance built slowly and was believable.
Great to see the rest of the team kicking butt and with The Agency becoming bolder in their attacks, things are going to get interesting.
This is my honest review of this book.
4 – KINGPIN BEAR
Loved it. What a great conclusion to this series.
Sad to see the end of this series but I am sure Genesis Valley will produce more books for us to enjoy.
A good story in itself but with the added demise of the Agency and the background information on Garret found out as well makes for a wonderful read.
Mr J being what he was, was a big surprise.
Really liked Nadia and it was wonderful that the sentinel leader Jared gets his HEA at long last.
I just thought that Nadia should have told Jared what had happened earlier but I believe in honesty even if it hurts. It would not have really made much difference to what had happened.
Loved the ending where everyone was back in Genesis valley.
This is my honest review of this book.
