The woman is pure evil.
Tiny, sexy, manipulative evil.
I can’t even blame my stupidity on alcohol. There was only half a beer in my bloodstream when I agreed to get into that cab with her.
Why didn’t I just drive us? Because when I asked her, “My place or yours?” her answer was, “In the backseat of the cab.”
Six words and she had me under her spell.
She’ll keep her mouth shut, right? God I … mouth shut, right? God I hope so. Nobody, especially Linc, can ever find out that I broke the bro code and slept with his ex-girlfriend, Abby.
Everything was going great, until a few months later when she called and said the two words that set me up for the biggest fight of my life – “I’m pregnant.”
It’s gonna be a dirty, uphill battle, with high stakes that I can’t afford to lose.
This fight is a matter of life and death.
But it’s completely out of my hands.

Senn is SEXY!
Senn may be my new favorite hero in Lane Hart’s Cocky Cage Fighters MMA romance series. Yes, this man is a player, but he is also a genuinely good guy who is completely blindsided by his feelings for his friend’s ex – and the baby he discovers he has fathered as well. Throughout the book, we see Senn Duncan evolve and grow emotionally while still having that cocky swagger we love so much. He is a big, growly, hotter-than-heck bada$$. Abby, on the other hand…I honestly don’t like her at all. Although she’s outwardly a beautiful woman, she’s snarky and can be intentionally cruel. Even knowing it’s a defense mechanism doesn’t make me soften to her – especially when her target is Senn. Despite my rather strong feelings about the heroine, this story is PHENOMENAL. I love getting to catch up with characters from previous stories, and Hart treats us to a well-developed tale that pulls us in every direction. Steamy chemistry, tears, aww moments…all of it. Cannot wait to read Nate’s story next. I’ve even created a playlist of all the guys’ intro songs for the gym! LOL
The Fighter and the Wedding Planner
I read this via my ku subscription and am leaving my review voluntarily. This is book 5 and part of an ongoing series. Characters from previous stories do appear. Tissues. Have some nearby.
Triggers: remembering the loss of a child, cancer, difficult pregnancy
Spoilers:
Senn, cage fighter and best friend to Linc (b3) a bit of a playboy. He hooks up with Lincs former girl. Then prays no one finds out.
Abby, after her crappy behavior towards Linc results in their breakup, she gets some bad news and wants him to be in her life again. But Linc has moved on and is finally happy. She gets drunk and has a 1 nighter with Senn.
Sexy time. Tears. Misunderstandings. HEA
Grab your seatbelts girls because you’re about to start a wild ride…
Ever since I read Mace that I was anxious to know what the hell was going to happen with Senn and I was so happy when I started reading. I know I’ve said this before but I strongly advise you to read all the books in this series before because although they are standalones the characters interact in all books.
Senn is the fourth book from the Cocky Cage Fighters and just like the other is intense as hell.
This book explore the lives of Senn and Abby.
Senn is a MMA fighter. Is the best friend of Linc one of the owners of Havoc gym. For him life is to be lived wildly and without strings attached. He wants to have fun with a different woman every night. He’s not ready to settle down and so when he discovers that he’s going to be a father his life will be taken by surprise.
Abby had an event that marked her life and because of that she wants a new start. When she found out that she was pregnant, after a wild night, she can’t believe it. The craziest thing is that the father of her baby is her ex-boyfriend best Friend.
What will they do? Can they become a family for the baby’s sake? Can a player commit to one person?
I was so not prepared for what happened. The level of feeling that this book transpired was something you can’t fit in any scale, it was a roller coaster of emotions. I loved the intensity of this story. I’m just speechless and very but very, very glad I could read this book. My nervous system was broken in tatters because of the madness that was reading this book and I was honestly scared, in a good way. But what now? What am I going to find on the next book in this series.
I enjoy most of this author’s books, but this is my least favorite. I did not like the main female character, felt Senn deserved better.
Wow! This one had some drama in it! It all starts with Abby (Linc’s ex-girlfriend) and Senn hooking up one night, and she wound up getting pregnant……
I haven’t been much of a Senn or Abby fan leading up to now. Honestly I am still not too crazy about either of them. But something about this story of them together got to me. She was still manipulating, and he was still extremely insensitive.. But once they finally got together they seemed to have changed some. I really like that he stood up to her parents, and that he was trying to step up and be a responsible father. I was really getting mad at how she was going about everything with him. She was quite condescending about him trying to change. It has to be really tough to be a better person when all people do is bash the person you have been without even thinking that you may be trying to change.
I really like how you keep witnessing interactions with the characters from the previous books. Despite not liking either of the main characters I still loved the book. I didn’t end up liking them a whole lot, but I definitely felt a lot better about them together than apart.
Senn by Lane Hart a fantastic five star read. This is the fifth book in the cocky cage fighter series, they can all be read as stand-alone books but I whole heartedly recommend that you read them in the series order, as you see the other guys and girls from earlier and later books pop up along the way, and you may spoil the heart and passion that each book builds if you don’t read them in order. You would miss the private in jokes, that pop up along the way like airport coffee. That being said this book nearly broke me, I have loved the other books and had met Senn and Abby before and didn’t like either of them very much, but they possibly became my favourite couple in this series I have laughed and cried alongside them. Lane Hart did the impossible and she brought the fight to a couple that when I first started reading this book I wasn’t sure they were worth fighting for, by the end I wanted to climb into the eight-sided cage and battle everything they faced.
One night changes everything, one taxi ride, one more drink, if just one thing had been changed then fate may not have been able to sucker punch Senn Duncan into the situation he finds himself in. He has spent his time training and fighting and just enjoying himself. One night he is doing his usual drinking and relaxing and looking for some company for the night, when someone he recognises pops up.
Abby Merchant has had a tough time, and it looks like it’s about to get tougher. The man she had thought she was going to marry one day is in love with another woman and the night he announces he is getting married she goes to a bar to get drunk and it leads to a taxi ride that leads to one unexpected complication for Abby and Senn. That complication arises a couple of months later with two little words ‘I’m pregnant’
The problem is that pregnancy isn’t the only complication that arises and they will both face a battle but will they both be strong enough to survive? Normally it’s just the boys of Havok doing the fighting but Abby faces just a big a battle if not a bigger fight than any of the boys have faced.
Lane Hart has out done herself, I am only wondering how she will be able to top this story. Nate is up next and I wonder what his story will bring, he has been the quiet one but sometimes it’s the quiet ones you have to watch.
I love each book in this series but I was not so sure about this one. I loved Senn but was not a fan of Abby’s at all after reading Linc’s book and at the beginning of this one I still had the same feelings. But as you get through their story you begin to understand her much more and you start to root for her with Senn. With each story Lane writes you think she can’t do better than the last but that thought is so wrong because she nails it each and every time!
