Bang. Bang! Boom. Boom!
I always enjoy tales of the Corps and this is a good one.
Griffin is one of the best when it comes to creating the pictures of war. This is a real page turner that will pull you into the story and make you feel the thunder of battle. Get a good nights rest before you start the book as you probably won’t put it down. Semper Fi!
Great read and series
Ending seemed rushed
Griffin is the best.
I liked the whole Marine series by W.E.B Griffin.
It felt redundant in its story line. Kind of like an old series called “The Battleship Boys.”
As with all of W.E.B. Griffin’s books this is sensational. He is definitely the greatest
military, historical fiction writer of modern times and has produced so many fantastic books. The hours of enjoyment reading his various series falls right in line with Semper Fi. Definitely a great read.
Griffin has lost a step. Time to retire.
Once a Marine, always a Marine!
I loved reading this book so much i bought the whole series. This brought the ins and outs of all the fighting, political as well as actual, during this turbulent time in history. I would have loved to hear what happened to the characters after the return from the Gobi desert. Some characters were never heard of after that episode in 1943.
Excellent writer.
Great story telling
The first, and best, novel of the Corps series details the life of an extraordinary enlisted marine at the beginning of World War II and his mood-whip changes in fortune in his career, love, and war. This is a re-readable book because you enjoy hanging out with the protagonist and just watching him deal with the good and the bad (you already know how WWII turns out so this book isn’t a thriller).
great authore
This is one of my favorites. The series follows marines as they are involved in WWII in the Pacific. It’s a fun series that shows many aspects of the war .
I enjoy WEB Griffin’s the Corps series. All the books are good and the characters are great, Granted Griffin is a formula writer and if you have read one of his series you know how the others will play out, but they are still enjoyable.
Great Book!
I read the entire series. One of my all time favorites.
