WEB Griffin’s early books are entertaining. They are more about military life and people interactions than action. For someone with a military background, they are easy to relate to.
First Book in the series by Griffin, part is setting up of part of the main characters.
The book goes into a little history of the Marine Raiders, and the working of the power to be.
A classic from W.E.B. Griffin’s marine corps books about WW II & beyond be sure to read the series in order..

Never forget the sacrifice Americans made for freedom. The first in a series of first-hand knowledge of the Marines.

Hard to put down. Keep me up reading
This is one of many books written by W.E.B. Griffin about the life of a Marine between 1935 and 1960. While all books are fiction, they are based on real events and people and how things were.
