A Paranormal Women’s Fiction with a bit of class, and a lot of sass, for anyone who feels like age is just a number!
Who says you can’t live the rock and roll life after forty?
You just need a lot more vitamins and a bigger bottle of aspirin.
Valerie Costa was pretty sure she was rocking her forties. She had an amazing coffee shop, two cool teenagers, and a new superpower that gave her insight … gave her insight into any random object she touched.
Okay, she wasn’t thrilled about that last one.
Ever since Val and her two best friends had driven their car off the edge and into Glimmer Lake the year before, Val has struggled with her new abilities. She’s not exactly sure she wants to be psychic, she could live without her newfound glove addiction, and honestly no one wants to know that much about their teenage sons.
But when Val’s ex-husband goes missing, and police show up at her door with questions she can’t answer, Val, Robin, and Monica are going to have to use their sudden psychic abilities to solve a mystery none of them saw coming.
Semi-Psychic Life is a standalone paranormal women’s fiction novel in the Glimmer Lake series by USA Today bestseller, Elizabeth Hunter, author of the Elemental Mysteries and the Irin Chronicles.

Semi-Psychic Life (Glimmer Lake #2)
Valerie is at the forefront of the story in book #2 but Robin & Monica are, of course, by her side & at her back when ever they’re needed!!
Her Ex Husband & Dad of her 2 sons, Josh, goes missing completely unexpectedly. He’s annoying, unreliable, often let’s their boys down but when Andy, their youngest, calls he always speaks to him or returns the call asap. When Josh is then accused of stealing a lot of money, none of them believe it, unfortunately the Police in that Town believe he’s run off to spend it so aren’t even looking for him! It’s time for Val & her friends to investigate, even if she does resent the time & money it’ll cost her, he’s her kids Dad so their happiness is all that matters!!
Val is loath to open herself up to more hurt. Sully, Glimmer Lake’s Sheriff, is very interested in her, it’s mutual, but she always makes excuses. He seems to believe her about Josh though which is good. Things get more complicated the deeper the women dig trying to find him. Then things take a nasty turn before a deadly one!!
I really enjoyed this story. It wasn’t as emotive or scary as book #1 but it was just as exciting, in its own way. Val has been left emotionally damaged by constantly picking up the pieces behind her ex year after year, it’s taken a toll she hadn’t registered!! Her son’s are fantastic. Jackson is 16/7 yrs & such a credit to her. Andy is a few years younger & full of sunshine & optimism! The snark is strong and friendships unbreakable! I look forward to Monica’s book in the summer.

~New Review~
Semi-Psychic Life by Elizabeth Hunter
I am voluntarily reviewing this ARC.
Semi-Psychic Life is the second book in this amazing series by Elizabeth Hunter. The back story is found in book one, where three best friends get into a horrible car accident. A deer gets in the path of their car and they go plummeting to the bottom of the freezing cold lake. Their rescuer is…not alive. All three women are saved and relatively unscathed except for one thing. They all have different psychic abilities, which, although cool, makes every day life challenging. This book zeros in on Val. The cool, punk rock, single mom of two teenage boys is forced to use her abilities to help solve the mystery of her irresponsible ex-husband as he is accused of crimes that she knows he didn’t commit. Through all of this, there is a subtle love story brewing between her and the local Sheriff, Sully. I literally have the biggest girl crush on Val. She’s sassy and crazy and the best mom.
This book and this series is a must read. It’s smart and interesting and a joy to read.
Five firey stars for this great read!
Entertaining, funny and interesting those words describe this novel. What a great mix you get with the mystery that needs solved, the variety of psychic abilities the three ladies got when they almost drowned, and great friendships they share. The storyline is well written and moves at a great pace. Definitely a great read!

Wow! A great addition to the series! I love the connection between the friends and how their relationship continues to grow. It’s great to have a series for midlife characters. Can’t wait for more!
I honestly do not know how Elizabeth Hunter does it! Every time she brings out a new series, I wonder if it is going to live up to the others and every time it does but what is even more wonderful is the 2nd book in the series is genuinely superb. I adored Suddenly Psychic but Semi Psychic life was even better. I need a system where every book has more stars available to me, so that I can give them more stars!
This is Val’s story. Val, who has battled for everything that she has and now finds herself with a new psychic ability. She has responsibilities, she has friends that won’t stop hassling her about the local beef-cake of a Sheriff and she has an ex husband that keeps causing trouble! What has he got himself into this time?
I love Val. I love these friends and I can’t wait to read the next book. 6 stars from me!
The power of touch
This book is an amazing encore to the series. I fell even more in love with this tight group of friends. They continue to rally behind each other show their support in snark, laughter and love. The author gave us an entirely new mystery to solve and who better to help with that then the hot sheriff Sully. Could he be the new guy in Val’s life, could he be the right guy in her life? With a little bit of help from her new power and the mystery of her missing ex, she might just be able to find out. The author didn’t keep me wanting when she created this book, it held all of the elements that I have come to expect from her writing and really kept me enthralled until the very end. I am really looking forward to seeing what happens in the next book in the series.
