I am loving this series so much! Each book just adds more to the story of Seaside. You can feel the connection between Lizzie and Blue, which makes you want to keep turning the page. An absolute delicious sweet romance to enjoy on your next beach vacation!
I find comfort in reading the Sweet with Heat: Seaside Summer series. I feel comfortable and relaxed. I get to dig right in and enjoy a beautiful story filled with life and all that comes with it. This time around its Lizzie Barber. She has found a unique way to help supplement income to pay for her sister’s education. She gives up having a social life to do what she thinks would be best for her sister.
Blue Ryder had found a woman that he wanted to spend time with. It just took over a year to get close enough for things to progress to that stage. She had turned him down repeated, but all is not lost. Blue finds a way to get in and then finds that things are a bit more complicated than he felt comfortable with.
The read has drama, angst, romance, chemistry, and life happening all awhile Lizzie has to find a way to make her life more than it had become. She has a man in her life the loves her. She has a sister she loves and would do anything for. That includes possibly destroying the one thing worth holding on to in her life.
Much tamer than the original version. Safe for all readers, especially those that are not quite as accepting of the steamier side of relationships. Here we get another reason to keep reading more in this series.
Seized by Love at Seaside (Sweet with Heat: Seaside Summers #7) by Addison Cole Meet Lizzie Barber – florist by day Naked Baker by night. Yeah you read that right, Lizzie has a side job doing a webcast baking naked in her basement kitchen in order to help out her sister financially go to college. No one knows her little secret and she certainly doesn’t want anyone to find out let alone have a relationship with someone, least they find out!
But when she asks Blue to fix her broken cooker, the oven is not the only thing to heat up! Blue Ryder has been trying to get Lizzie on a date for over a year and despite her turning him down he still asks. Imagine his surprise when Lizzie actually throws caution to the wind and says yes to a date. They are made for each other and perfect in every way together, but will Blue run when he finds out Lizzie’s secret or will it make him love her even more knowing the reasons why?
Addison has a taken a steamy read and turned it into to something sinfully sweet that gives you plenty of heat without the action, making it everyones cup of tea.
Seized by Love at Seaside is the seventh book in the Sweet with Heat: Seaside Summers series. Lizzie and Blue have known each other for a year. And from day one Blue has known Lizzie is it for him, but convincing her of that is not so easy. Lizzie has a secret and that secret is what has been keeping her from accepting Blue’s invitations. Will she be able to keep turning him down? Or will Blue wear her down and convince her to accept? This was a fun and enjoyable book. I really enjoyed the narrator as well. I definitely recommend it.
First, and foremost, I am in love with Blue. He is so sexy and sweet – what a perfect combination. Then, there is Lizzie. He has been asking her out for a year, and she kept saying no. I would think her crazy, but she isn’t. She just has a big secret. “Do you think you always have to be one hundred percent honest with the person you love? Even if it might hurt him and someone else in the long run?” This is a wonderful story, with just the right amount of “Sweet with Heat”.
I enjoyed reading this book so much, I also listened to it, so I could experience Lizzie and Blue again. Listening to the always oustanding narrator, Melissa Moran, added another plus to this five star book. I very, very highly recommend this book.
For the most part I really enjoyed this book. I found Blue and Lizzie to be very appealing characters. The chemistry between them is believable, their attraction spoke volumes and felt so real. The storyline is fun. The only thing that took away from the story for me was their constant need for saying how much they love one another and repetitive need for reassurances. The same things were said over and over and when it happened, it was distracting. I lost momentum and I wasn’t in the story as much as I was before and then I would have to get back on track again. I stuck it out every time and it was worth it, because it really is a great story.
Lizzie Barber is very resourceful but it’s starting to weight her down. She also feels guilty when it comes to secrets. But she shows that we do what we have to do in order to help others out. Blue Ryder really loves having an excuse to help a certain someone out. I’m afraid that I ended up with a book boyfriend crush. This makes me glad that he’s fictional because I think he’d have a lot of women knocking his door down.
I’m afraid that I’ve developed an issue with this author as well as her alter ego – or vice versa. I’ve come to love both series and can’t say that I love one above the other. But I think that at some point, I’m going to read them side by side. I’ll read the sweet one first and then read the one with heat. And I’ll do this while down on the Cape – how could I not. I want the ambiance, I want the warm sea air, and I want to feel a part of this group of friends that shine in each book I read.
I know – no more crushing but it’s hard not to when you’ve fallen in love with this group of people. You know they don’t exist but it feels as if they could. They have family members who could sound like ones that exist in your world. They have problems that anyone could have but in the end they all remain friends. They boost you up when you’re feeling down and no matter what by the end of their story you’ve forgotten your troubles, even if for a little while, and can end the day feeling a little lighter and with a smile on your face. And if I get a little giggle at the end than that’s just icing on the cake. Seeing a preview of my next read in the series also made my day.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
Another great steamy sweet story by Ms. Cole. I really love this sweet with heat series, and fall in love with the characters more with each new book.
I really want a Blue of my own, he says and does a few stupid things, but don’t most men? Blue works through his issues with Lizzie’s ‘other’ job, and proves that he is the right man for her. Lizzie is so sweet, and I would say at point to a fault. She will do anything he has to do to make sure those around her are cared for, including hiding very important parts of her life from those she loves. It made me really sad for Lizzie that she was so ashamed of her show. She made a decision, that many including her family wouldn’t agree with, but she put herself through college, and is doing the same for her sister. I think she should be proud of the strong women she is, and hard decisions she made.
Seized by Love at Seaside only made me want more of this sweet with heat series, I can’t wait to see what’s next.
“I want happy, not easy, and I know we can have that together “
Blue Ryder is everything Lizzie wants in a man; he is loyal, trusty and very sexy. But, she won’t fall to the temptation; she needs to keep her life in order first. She needs to focus on her business, her sister’s tuition and her secret; her very sexy dirty little secret that keeps her too busy for a love life.
Blue has been trying for a long time to seduce the cute little flower shop owner. He set his mind on Lizzie even thou she only sees him as a dear friend but he believes in following his guts and his heart so he won’t stop until she agrees to give them a chance.
Lizzie feels torn between her strong feelings for Blue and her own complicated life. She’s terrified that the only man she loves will turn away if he ever discovers the truth, worried that it would be too big for Blue to handle.
If there is one thing Blue is afraid of is to be hurt all over again; took him years to finally find a woman he could love and trust but what Lizzie hides behind closed doors might change it all.
When love is so strong that you stand by something that goes against your beliefs just so you won’t lose the one person that owns your heart……The situation between them tests everything Blue had always believed about love and loyalty. She cares so much about her sister that she would do anything to provide for her and protect her.
I love Addison’s stories; they are always filled with different emotions and I love to feel conflicted , in love, sad or happy along with her characters. I had to close my book a few times because I was getting frustrated with Lizzie and I wanted to shake her up to make her realize things and I LOVE IT !
Can’t wait for her next book !
Addison Coles Seized by Love at Seaside, is a great addition to the Sweet with heat series. Lizzie and Blue are so charming, sexy and fun together and their love melts your heart. I look forward to next book in this wonderful series.
What’s better than falling in love? Falling in love with someone that has a generous and loving heart. Blue asked Lizzie out all the time for an entire year, and his persistence finally pays off. Lizzie is kind, generous, and more caring than anyone he’s ever met. Once he can get past her secret life as The Naked Baker and realizes WHY she’s doing it, he just falls deeper in love. Lizzie falls in love with Blue once she realizes that he’s trying to protect her, not shame her. Happily Ever After doesn’t always mean life is perfect, or that all dreams come true; it’s finding the one that makes you feel cherished, loved, and all things good.
These are the love stories that are the best. This is one that I love because it isn’t all sunshine and rainbows, it’s real. The steamy moments are just hot enough for being part of a sweet story. Each book of this series has done really well in having a good balance, and this one is no exception.
Blue is a handyman that everyone turns to when they need things refinished or refurbished. The town loves him. He has a thing for a client, Lizzy. Lizzie owns & runs a flower shop in town. She has feelings for Blue but has not agreed to date him in the 2 years she’s known him. While in college, her father fell ill and she had to find a way to pay for college on her own. She came up with the idea of disguising herself in a blond wig & glasses and using her love of baking for a webcast called “The Naked Baker.” It paid her way through college and her down payment on her flower shop. Now her sister is in college & she is using the money so her sister doesn’t have to struggle & worry like she did. However, the idea of 2 more years of the webcast is getting to her. She keeps refusing Blue because she’s afraid he’ll find out about her secret and she’ll lose him.
Blue finally gets Lizzie to agree to a date & the chemistry takes over. Lizzie builds her courage up to confess to him about her webcast. Will Lizzie lose Blue? Will he accept what she is doing & why? Will their relationship last?
Melissa’s characters are always complex & well rounded. They are the people you can see living next door and calling you a friend. Her stories are well thought out and draw you into them. They can be read as the series but could also be read as a stand alone. Can’t wait for the next in the series!
