★ HE HAS A JOB TO DO. ★
Sheriff Joel Masterson has an entire county depending on him to keep them safe.
He doesn’t need more trouble with the rabble-rousing Tylers. But once he gets a good look at the eldest Tyler daughter, things get complicated.
Real complicated—real quick.
Now Joel doesn’t mind trouble—at least…not Phoebe’s kind. But real trouble has a way of finding all the Tylers sooner or later.
Phoebe is no exception.

It was sweet. People who judge a family who works so hard, but who are associated with kin who are hateful
3 1/2 stars enjoyable quick read
Great.
The book is very predictable but I had just finished a heavier read and was looking for a light happy ending book.
Good readMany characters at first..Settled down to entertain ing..
I loved loved this book along with the others in the series
I didn’t care for this I won’t read any more by this author
Quick read. Fun loving.
This book was very predictable. A family of poor ranchers with 4 beautiful daughters, a new sheriff, some trouble, etc. just ok
Fun and intertaining
Good book!
Didn’t realize it was a “novella” when I ordered it. It was ok – usually I really really like this author, and this was ok but I like a full length book that I can really get into.
Wow
This is a beautiful story of family & love. Calle has written another great story. Sometimes families get bad reps because of names by these Tyler’s try to keep their noses right.
Book one of a series that now runs to four. There are four Masterson Men: Joel, the sheriff; Nate the Doctor; Matt, the vet; and Levi, the rancher. Pheobe’s family consists of her widowed father Phil Tyler her three sisters and four brothers. Pheonix, the eldest boy at 19 was the cause of the two groups meeting.
Since this is a romance the men are stunningly handsome and the gals red-headed beauties.
Chapters are short and the action proceeds apace. The pair finally get down to ‘business’ in Chapter 28. Sex is suggested but left to our imagination.
Subsequent books in the series become variations on a similar theme
What’s not to love? A love story for a determined, kind, underdog, who doesn’t know the word ‘QUIT’! A hero that stands beside her to make her life better!
Great story. Very easy read. This book kept my attention throughout the story. I loved the characters, and the flow of the story line. I have already downloaded the next book, something I never do!
I recently read this book and found it very enjoyable. While I usually read historical romance this was a nice change, I was hooked from the first trailer I read. The story is fast moving and action packed. It was so good and the characters so believable I had to read the entire series, and while the peril made the romance predictable it was still a great read.
Editing poor.
This is not my usual type of book, but I enjoyed this one so much that I immediately ordered the other three books in the series. The characters are very real and not everyone is wealthy. Shows how some families truly have to struggle to get through each day. Of course, reading this type of book, the outcome is inevitable or the book wouldn’t be any good. Callie J. Brookes makes the characters of Mastersons and Tylers blend in a special way. One cliff hanger for me…what happens to Phoenix?
Loved the whole series
