SHE DOESN’T NEED HIS KIND OF TROUBLE…The last thing Phoebe Tyler needs is the sheriff complicating her life. The sheriff of Masterson County had always meant trouble—especially for the Tylers of Tyler Township. She has to focus on helping her widowed father run their struggling ranch and raise her younger brothers. But when the sheriff shows up with her teenage brother, Phoebe knows more … brother, Phoebe knows more problems are right behind him.
What is she going to do now?
★ HE HAS A JOB TO DO. ★
Sheriff Joel Masterson has an entire county depending on him to keep them safe.
He doesn’t need more trouble with the rabble-rousing Tylers. But once he gets a good look at the eldest Tyler daughter, things get complicated.
Real complicated—real quick.
Now Joel doesn’t mind trouble—at least…not Phoebe’s kind. But real trouble has a way of finding all the Tylers sooner or later.
Phoebe is no exception.
But this time the sheriff might not be enough to keep Phoebe safe, after all…

So good I read it twice. I also went to look for more books from this author.
It was a decent story for the price (free!). The super-short chapters just made it feel rushed and made it hard for me to really get into the story, made it feel like there were too many interruptions.
It’s a good book
The author put a lot of thought into the characters in this story. They come alive on the page, and the entire concept for the storyline surprised me. There’s also plenty of conflict. So, it’s well worth adding to your reading list.
Everything led up to the last 50 pages. Everything explodes and it’s over. Good quick read.
Just loved it
Calle Brooks is a new author for me. After reading Seeking the sheriff, I’m going to explore more of her series. The story of sheriff Joel and Phoebe was sweet with a whole lot of side stories thrown in to lead you to more adventures of the Tyler family.
Phoebe meets Joel the new Sheriff. Her family has a bad reputation and they don’t like the law. When the Sheriff comes visiting one day he notices her. Will this turn into love or not??
Love Calle j. Brooks books. Very interesting and family oriented.
I love how it starts out a family trying to mind their own business but because of a family name forever tarnished. When a new sheriff comes along and turns things for the better while falling in love with a women from said family. Brings real-life issues from Wyoming areas.
I did more than recommend this to a friend I bought the whole series. Good characters, good pacing and unusual premise. Gifted story teller, I will look for other books by this author.
Easy light reading
I love the characters of this group of books especially the HEA
Very good book. I wish the series had not ended. Very engaging. I kept wanting to know what was going to happen next
Would have like male character to have saved or helped her save herself.
Liked it so well I bought the rest of the series. Wanted to know what happened with the other sisters, although this was the best of the series. Not a cliff-hanger (which I hate).
I’ve read books from this author before and loved them. This book however I could not get into. It was quite repetitive!! Mundane and redundant. It was not love it was instant lust.
If you want straight romance, this is the book for you. And it has parallel romances for 2 sisters plus the conflicts of other family members. No family is perfect, but it’s wonderful to read a story where good things happen.
Couldn’t put the book down. Very good read.
Quite a page turner for being a shorter than usual novel (150 pages). Loved the characters and their families. Looking forward to reading the rest in the series
