The fourth book in the Seeking series is amazing, awesome and wonderful. Fierce love between two people who don’t recognize it at first. A chance meeting in a park or was it. I loved this story very much and I love this hero and heroine. In fact, I think I want the hero for myself but alas, twas not to be.
Get this wonderful story of chance meeting and love between a governess and a wealthy Royal Navy Captain who wasn’t looking to marry until he found the one in this chance meeting.
Gypsy magic or just good luck. Who knows as the heroine loves her Romany friends.
I highly recommend this most wonderful story that I think is now my favorite in the Seeking Series. I recommend them all if you love clean, regency romance with of tough of Gypsy magic
I’ve enjoyed this series and find the Romany people fascinating. A well-written and unique series.
I usually stay away from romance books, but the allure of reading about the Romany intrigued me. And I wasn’t disappointed. Vadoma, the gypsy, appears and disappears as if by magic, because it is the way of the Romany. The mystic and aloofness of the gypsies is well portrayed in the story, and I think Vadoma was my favorite character.
The romance between Rachel and Nash is sweet, G-rated. It has the clash of classes set in the time period, but everyone and his brother aren’t trying to keep the two apart. It’s a battle of wills, or rather, both Rachel and Nash feeling unworthy of each other. It has a refreshing Christian message as well.
Seeking Rachel was a wonderful and sweet story. Although a bit shorter than the other book from this series that I listened to recently, I still felt very connected to these characters and hopeful that they could find their happily-ever-after.
I really loved that Nash, who was a highly sought after bachelor of the ton, did not let the fact that Rachel was a governess dictate how he felt about her. I really liked his character a lot.
Rachel and Nash had some big obstacles to overcome and some difficult people who were happy to interfere with their lives, making this Regency tale one that I really enjoyed listening to. The narrator did a very good job with the narration. It was a very pleasant story to listen to.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
I listened to the audio version of this book and it was fantastic! A sweet inspirational regency story.
I enjoyed this story very much. Rachel is feisty & a challenge to Nash but they work things out.
It seems as though Rachel will be a spinster. She would like to marry, so far she hasn’t had the chance. When, Nash Browning saves her from joining an already very bad situation.
After Rachel shares a confidence with Nash, they begin to try and solve a mystery together. No one is the wiser of the two of them and what they are up to. However, the more time they spend together their hearts start falling in love.
Although painful some others that the truth affects, it is finally discovered and announced! Mystery solved!
I really enjoyed reading this book. Very inspirational as Rachel never loses her faith in God despite the hardships in her life. Nash has lost his faith. They are from different stations in life, which can be very important in the Regency Era. Gypsy’s, faith and love abound in this story.
I received a free copy of this book and this is my voluntary, honest review.
This is another beautifully written story by this author and love the fact this is clean with some beautiful inspirational moments. The romance is sweet and the plot structure was good. Rachel is a beautifully written character that has been through a lot and does not feel she deserves love. This is a theme that is very relatable because most people have had this feeling at some point in their lives. Definitely read this story and find out what happens to Rachel.
I always enjoy a Josie Riviera book. She manages repeatedly to come up with interesting characters and story lines without them becoming cookie cutter. No matter how many historical books I read I still have a hard time wrapping my head around the idea that a young lady could be considered almost spinster and unmarriageable at age 24. Rachel is almost to the magical age and prospects for her future are looking bleak. Vadoma brings a welcome new twist to the story. I’ll let you in on a little secret, one of my least flattering personality traits is I love it with the haughty, inflated with their own worth characters get their comeuppance. They do in this book. Thank you, Josie, for an entertaining story.
Blame it on the Night…
Rachel Lockhart has never fit the image of a proper English lady from a family with reduced circumstances due to her father’s drinking and poor financial skills. She is more at home with the Romany tribe that frequently camps on her family’s estate and feels more love from them than from her own father. Now in her mid-twenties, Rachel has given up any hope of a husband and children of her own and is content to serve as the governess of her cousin’s daughter, Jemimi, and even that is now coming to an end. Then her aged, gypsy friend, Vadoma, appears unexpectedly and reminds her that destiny has a part to play and Rachel reflects on her dreams of a handsome, grey-eyed man.
When Nash Browning saw the beautiful brunette in the park and heard her lovely singing he was entranced and intrigued that she was sitting with an old, gypsy woman. Perhaps she was also a gypsy, and he did not trust the Romany after the part they played in the death of his sister, but he was drawn to the young woman who would not even disclose her name and seemed bent on fleeing.
This is the fourth book in the Seeking Series and it is another beautiful romance that entwines the Romani culture with the world of English nobility. I liked Rachel’s kind and loving nature and how she repeatedly turned to God for support and guidance. This is an enjoyable, clean stand-alone story that any romance fan will enjoy.
Sweet and heart felt story that has you turning the page. You fall in love with the story and the characters along with wanting to throttle a couple.
This was a lovely Christian, regency romance with a good amount of the Romany sprinkled in. I liked Rachel’s fierce spirit and Nash’s steadfastness. I adored little Jemini’s infectious liveliness. It was a fun read.
I received a copy of this this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
“Seeking Rachel” by Josie Riviera
A clean Christian Regency romance that just might break your heart and then mend it once again. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Rachel as she learned that she truly could be valued for the person that she is. I requested and audio code from the author and was one of the ones who was granted a download code. Thank You Josie, I rested my eyes this afternoon and let Tessa read this story to me. This story is worth the read. Happy Reading ! !
The great Christian love story. This book lets you know that all things are possible through God’s grace. Will Rachel find true love? Will Nash find what he’s looking for? A great read ,definitely recommend. Try some of Josies other books you won’t be disappointed.
Seeking Rachel by Josie Riviera
Have read other books in this series especially about the gypsies and can’t wait to learn more about them and their ways.
Starts with praise from the author’s works.
Rachel is caring for her young cousin as her father had made arrangements for her to live with them and earn her keep.
They both visit the gardens often as they love being outside and a man, Nash approaches them one day and before he knows it he’s telling her all his hidden secrets.
He knows she’s the one but others have him paired with another woman who’s stood behind him forever.
Rachel has never visited the dances and balls but they are all invited to a birthday party and she learns Nash is to be there also. Kids have lots of things to do among themselves thus giving Rachel a chance to just walk around by herself.
He finds her after his mother told him she had left to get some air at night after her charge has gone to bed. They are able to spend a bit of time together and when she hears of his betrothal to another the next day she leaves.
Upon her return she learns also about her mother and runs away to seek the truth from her father, who raised her.
Things get so mixed up for them both and he travels the countryside til he locates her and tells her the real truth.
Enjoyed this read as it’s an easy story with twists and turns and so much more to learn about the gypsies: their lifestyle choices, travel and mysteries.
I received this review copy from the author and this is my honest opinion
This was a clean Christian Regency romance starting with a secret meeting in a garden between a governess and a wealthy gentleman. Rachel is headstrong, loves to learn, loves her gypsy second family, cares a lot about her precocious charge Jemimi, and is deeply religious. Nash is a jaded former navy captain, who has lost faith in God, but can’t help his instant attraction for Rachel. There are a lot of misunderstandings and secrets revealed and their path to true love and destiny is not smooth.
Wonderful story of redemptive love and forgiveness. The characters face issues brought on by childhood distresses and adult tragedies. Love conquers all.
This is another fascinating book from Josie Riviera! I loved the addition of the Romany Gypsies to the story of Rachel and Nash. The Romany have always played a part in Rachel’s life. Nash meets her by chance. Rachel doesn’t think she is worthy of a hero like Nash. Can they find their happily ever after? Do yourself a favor and grab this wonderful story!
I received an advance copy of this book and I voluntarily wrote an honest review.
Rachel has been influenced by the Romany people all of her life and now she has met a determined Naval Captain Nash Browning who seeks help from the Romany to find Rachel.
I loved the prayers and statements of faith that are spread throughout this book. It makes the characters seem more real.
The book hit on the injustices that occur within families and society that were very unfair to young girls.
