This is one of my favorite Kindred books!
I love that Molly is blind of sight, but can truly see. Braxx needs a strong, understanding woman such as Molly to overcome the pain and lingering damage from his own loss. Molly and Braxx sacrifice so much for each other and when they come together their HEA is as epic as it should be. I can’t wait to see what is next in store for the Kindred.
I listened to the audiobook version of the story and enjoyed it a lot. Commander Braxx mission is to protect Dr. Molly at all costs as she gathers information about the planet and it’s people. He is to be her protector and eyes, as Molly is blind due to a tragic accident. Their chemistry from the very beginning is undeniable and only grows stronger as Braxx is challenged for Molly. This was a steamy and action packed paranormal romance that I enjoyed a lot and I look forward to more books from this author.
Talk about a Beauty and the Beast retelling… This could totally fall under that heading. I loved that Molly was blind because it made for a very different situation for our characters. It was also necessary to help Braxx heal and move through his insecurities and heartache. They make a lovely couple. I really like the wold of Tal’os Trenta and it’s vibrant colors. Quite fun!
This series just gets better and better. Braxx and Molly, what a great pair.
A wonderful love story with a couple that had such tragedy in their lives and yet come together with unconditional love. Scarred on the inside and scarred on the outside, love knows no bounds.
I enjoyed this couple’s romance, I believe the idea came from readers…wonderful story line. Always great to read a strong female character despite her vision issues. Expect this story to bring on the feels. I loved it and highly recommend it.
Another great book by Evangerline Ande rain! Her Kindred novella are just as good and entertaining as the full-length books.
The usual formula for a novel by Evangeline Anderson. Decent read, lots of sexual situations, just a bit shorter than a full Kindred novel. Entertaining.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review no minority compensation was received the opinions I have expressed are my own. I have read all the books in the Kindred series I have to say that this book might be one of my favorite by far. I’m so use to the heroine being so indecisive so insecure and not knowing if she wanted to be truly mated or not it was so refreshing to see that it was actually the hero Braxx with all the issues. Of course Molly has emotional pain too but she was able to come to terms with her pain, but Braxx has buried his so deep. I loved the adventure these two experience and the way Molly didn’t let her disability define her as person and the way she help Braxx come to terms with his making this a fantastic story. Overall a enjoyable and entertaining read looking forward to reading more books in the Kindred series.
great read
This might be one of my favorites of the series. Molly is a blind anthropologist, looking forward to studying the people of Tal’os Trenta. When her assistant, who happens to be her “eyes” for the study, ends up at the hospital with her fiance who was in a car accident, Molly has to go to the planet accompanied by a Beast Kindred, Braxx, who not only has scars on the outside but deeper scars on the inside too. They find an instant attraction to each other that each of them works to fight, but once they hit the planet surface, everything changes. And Seeing with the Heart takes on a whole new meaning.
I love the author’s take on the anthropologist’s disability. The female protagonist is strong and determined. She doesn’t allow others to run over her, and she’s outspoken. It is a respectful perspective while staying true to what the attraction of meeting the Kindred’s one true mate involves. Braxx is also wounded in a way that not only makes him feel the effects of the accident he was in on a daily basis, but he has a sense of overwhelming guilt over it. This is a steamy, sometimes heartbreaking story that brings all of the feels. It was exactly what I expected and then some. I’m looking forward to what the author comes up with next.
