#1 New York Times bestselling author Sandra Brown delivers nonstop suspense and supercharged sexual tension in a thriller about tainted heroism and vengeance without mercy. Kerra Bailey is a TV journalist hot on the trail of a story guaranteed to skyrocket her career to new heights. Twenty-five years ago, Major Franklin Trapper became a national icon when he was photographed leading a handful of … icon when he was photographed leading a handful of survivors to safety after the bombing of a Dallas hotel. For years, he gave frequent speeches and interviews but then suddenly dropped out of the public eye, shunning all media. Now Kerra is willing to use any means necessary to get an exclusive with the Major–even if she has to secure an introduction from his estranged son, former ATF agent John Trapper.
Still seething over his break with both the ATF and his father, Trapper wants no association with the bombing or the Major. Yet Kerra’s hints that there’s more to the story rouse Trapper’s interest despite himself. And when the interview goes catastrophically awry–with unknown assailants targeting not only the Major, but also Kerra–Trapper realizes he needs her under wraps if he’s going to track down the gunmen . . . and finally discover who was responsible for the Dallas bombing.
Kerra is wary of a man so charming one moment and dangerous the next, and she knows Trapper is withholding evidence from his ATF investigation into the bombing. But having no one else to trust and enemies lurking closer than they know, Kerra and Trapper join forces to expose a sinuous network of lies and conspiracy–and uncover who would want a national hero dead.

Not the best Sandra Brown book but still entertaining. You keep guessing the bad guy until late near the end.
It was good but a little verbose.
I love this author would recommend this book to anyone.
Loved this book. This was a long book and enjoyed every page. Loved the characters and story line.
Good book but hard to put down. It was a classic page turner and the ending was a shocking end (at least to me it was). Trying to find out the truth and solve the mystery behind it all will keep you up late at night.
Another great Sandra Brown read

Another great book by Sandra Brown.
Always love Sandra Brown
I loved this book. The character s were believable. The plot keep my interest. until the end.
Sandra Brown is one of my favorite authors and role model in my own writing career. I love most of her books, especially the ones she wrote after 1990, when she started to grow as an author and her plots became more intricate. Inspired by her, I’m working on that too. 🙂 Great writer!
Didn’t really need the sex scenes. The story is excellent without them.
I am usually a fan of Sandra Brown. This book was extremely disappointing. Very predictable and slow.
Suspenseful, fast paced, made me feel like I was there with them, sexy, and an ending that will shock you. Loved it.
Kerra is a news reporter trying to get an interview with Major Trapper, who rescued people after a bombing twenty five years ago. She can’t get him to answer her calls so she goes to his son Trapper.
Trapper is former ATF and kept investigating the bombing until he was fired. That didn’t stop him from finding out who really set them bombs. He has an idea but no one believes him, not even his father. They have been on the outs for three years and tells Kerra no to helping her.
She gets her interview and after it wraps up and the crew leaves, she stays and talks with him. Someone comes in shoots the Major while she’s in the restroom. She panics as they are trying to get in, she climbs out the window and runs but falls in a ditch. She’s in the hospital and the Major is barely hanging on.
Trapper believes she’s in danger and kidnaps her and they try to figure out what’s going on. Only thing Kerra is afraid of losing her heart to Trapper and knows he’s liable to break it. Will they figure out the secrets or will they be stopped. You will not be disappointed with this book.

Seeing Red was a good suspenseful book. I have always been a fan of Sandra Brown and this was another thrilling read. I got her book at my library and had to keep renewing until I couldn’t renew no more and then I kept out 5 more days to finish reading it. It was a long book and started slow but then it was going at a fast pace. John Trapper was an ex-ATF agent who was trying to solve the Pegasus hotel bombing unsuccessful I might add until Kerra Bailey a tv reporter who had info about the hotel bombing. She wanted to interview Major Trapper the hero who saved a little girl by getting them both out of the hotel that blew up. Kerra went to John to finagle into introducing her to his father the Major. Like I said a thrilling, fast paced book. It was a book about a son and father trying to find their way back to each other after a bitter argument and that help came from a special stranger. Another good Sandra Brown novel.
Always love a good Sandra Brown book, she never disappoints you.
Hard to put down.
Television journalist Kerra Bailey is attempting to get an interview with Major Franklin Trapper who twenty-five years ago was photographed leading survivors to safety in a hotel bombing. Kerra does not have much luck getting the Major to answer her phone requests for an interview so she reaches out to his estranged son former ATF agent John Trapper. The two of them go back and forth and after Kerra shares her bombshell which will be part of the interview, Trapper’s interest is enough that he meets Kerra at his father’s house. The interview kicks off a rousing suspenseful story that never quits. Add to the mix television co-workers, townspeople and Trapper’s neighbor in the same building as his office and you will be guessing throughout the book. Just who is the real bad guy will keep you guessing until the end. Warning: Adult Sexual Content – which you can skip over and still fully enjoy the book.
