#1 New York Times bestselling author Sandra Brown delivers nonstop suspense and supercharged sexual tension in a thriller about tainted heroism and vengeance without mercy. Kerra Bailey is a TV journalist hot on the trail of a story guaranteed to skyrocket her career to new heights. Twenty-five years ago, Major Franklin Trapper became a national icon when he was photographed leading a handful of … icon when he was photographed leading a handful of survivors to safety after the bombing of a Dallas hotel. For years, he gave frequent speeches and interviews but then suddenly dropped out of the public eye, shunning all media. Now Kerra is willing to use any means necessary to get an exclusive with the Major–even if she has to secure an introduction from his estranged son, former ATF agent John Trapper.
Still seething over his break with both the ATF and his father, Trapper wants no association with the bombing or the Major. Yet Kerra’s hints that there’s more to the story rouse Trapper’s interest despite himself. And when the interview goes catastrophically awry–with unknown assailants targeting not only the Major, but also Kerra–Trapper realizes he needs her under wraps if he’s going to track down the gunmen . . . and finally discover who was responsible for the Dallas bombing.
Kerra is wary of a man so charming one moment and dangerous the next, and she knows Trapper is withholding evidence from his ATF investigation into the bombing. But having no one else to trust and enemies lurking closer than they know, Kerra and Trapper join forces to expose a sinuous network of lies and conspiracy–and uncover who would want a national hero dead.

I LOVE everything Sandra Brown writes and this book is another classic- keep it in your bookshelf, you’ll want to read it again!
One of my favorite Sandra Brown novels to date.
Another fabulous read from the amazing Sandra brown!!! This was one hell of a read, even after writing so many books Sandra still has books that knock my socks off and seeing red had all the things I come to expect! Kerra and trappers chemistry was off the charts and both of these characters were so beautifully layered with writing that flowed flawless and plenty of action and intrigue!! Awesome storyline and the sex so HOT !! I’ve been reading Sandra brown books for years and very few writers are truly master’s of their genre’s but Sandra knocks it out of the park everytime!!! I won this from a Goodreads giveaway!!
Not Brown’s best, but as always, I enjoyed her writing style. For me, the story seemed a little predictable and slow at times.
SEEING RED is well written, entertaining, suspenseful and filled with sexual tension. Sandra Brown fans will love this one, as will anyone who likes intrigue and romance.
Sandra Brown’s book are always good, but she outdid herself with this one! Wish I hadn’t read it so I could read it again!
Love….love….love. Sandra Brown books!!
Wonderful writing from beginning to end in this romantic suspense with a mystery thrown in! I love all of the books I have read by this author and loved this one, too!
This book hit closer to home in some ways because of where I have lived and what I have experienced. I was in the American embassy in Beirut collecting cookies for soldiers a few weeks before it was bombed and that day was expecting people for dinner that either died or ended up in the hospital. I watched soldiers playing baseball on the AUB campus before their barracks were bombed. I lived through the Gulf War in Saudi Arabia and came back to more war in Lebanon – war is gritty – bombs are lethal – the story indicated just how horrible the aftermath can be for many and some specifically.
So, the story…I started reading in the evening thinking I would stay up till tired and put the book down to continue today BUT once I began I could not put it down. I read till 3am and then contemplated the story some more. The prologue set the stage and then from that intense beginning till the end of the book the tension remained high. I was able to understand the motivation for the H/h and how they were attracted to one another and also appreciated that they did not fall easily. Their backstories were interesting and complex enough to give them further substance. I found the main bad guy to be evil incarnate and the fact that there was more than one baddie intriguing. The twists and turns were well plotted and some unseen till near the end.
I do not believe I have ever read a book by Sandra Brown that I did not enjoy so when I was granted an ARC of this book through NetGalley and Grand Central Publishing I was thrilled. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and my honest review reflects my response to reading this wonderful novel.
I love Sandra Brown. She always manages to keep you intrigued. I look forward to reading more of her books.

Seeing Red
by Sandra Brown, Victor Slezak (Narrator)
The Queen of romantic suspense wins again! A good read with all the thrills I have come to expect from Ms Brown. The narrator, Victor Slezak, was great and made the story come alive.
Suspenseful – Yes, Romantic – No
2.5 stars
The mystery was the only thing that kept me tapped into this book. Kerra and Trapper were not an interesting duo. She was a stereotypical journalist out for a big story and very weak-willed where Trapper was concerned. Trapper was a former special agent with a chip on his shoulder and acted like a complete sleaze toward Kerra. Their relationship was about as substantial as a bar hookup.
I read this book a couple of years ago. Sandra Brown is my favorite author. Love all her books.
A decades old bombing leads an investigative journalist into a web of conspiracy, danger, secrets and vengeance – and love. Romance, intrigue, and page turning suspense, all the while asking, what makes a hero?
Great Book!!!
Love anything Sandra Brown writes—what more can I say!
pure smut — not enough of a story — although it started out great — to make grinding through the pornography worth it. I won’t finish, I want my money back.
I have never been disappointed with a Sandra Brown book and this was no exception. Kerra is a tv reporter who wants an interview with The Major — a hero who saved a little girl’s life in a hotel explosion 25 years ago. The Major doesn’t know it but Kerra was the little girl. The Major’s son, Trapper, has been searching leads on the explosion for many years and has a theory. There are a lot of twists, turns and romance. I thought I had figured out a major twist — but as usual I didn’t. Sandra Brown’s books end too quickly!
I hadn’t read Sandra Brown in awhile and this led me to take up reading her again.
