#1 New York Times bestselling author Sandra Brown delivers nonstop suspense and supercharged sexual tension in a thriller about tainted heroism and vengeance without mercy. Kerra Bailey is a TV journalist hot on the trail of a story guaranteed to skyrocket her career to new heights. Twenty-five years ago, Major Franklin Trapper became a national icon when he was photographed leading a handful of … icon when he was photographed leading a handful of survivors to safety after the bombing of a Dallas hotel. For years, he gave frequent speeches and interviews but then suddenly dropped out of the public eye, shunning all media. Now Kerra is willing to use any means necessary to get an exclusive with the Major–even if she has to secure an introduction from his estranged son, former ATF agent John Trapper.
Still seething over his break with both the ATF and his father, Trapper wants no association with the bombing or the Major. Yet Kerra’s hints that there’s more to the story rouse Trapper’s interest despite himself. And when the interview goes catastrophically awry–with unknown assailants targeting not only the Major, but also Kerra–Trapper realizes he needs her under wraps if he’s going to track down the gunmen . . . and finally discover who was responsible for the Dallas bombing.
Kerra is wary of a man so charming one moment and dangerous the next, and she knows Trapper is withholding evidence from his ATF investigation into the bombing. But having no one else to trust and enemies lurking closer than they know, Kerra and Trapper join forces to expose a sinuous network of lies and conspiracy–and uncover who would want a national hero dead.

A real fast paced, tense, thrilling read. I’ve read all her books and this one ranks right up with the rest. Intrigue, power hungry ,money hungry guys in important positions. She leaves you with little clues that you think you know all the bad guys, but then she throws another twist and you are really surprised. She’s a master storyteller that keeps you guessing. This is an original story like no other. Got the book today, read it today -it’s that good. You will love Kerry and Trapper as well as all the other characters, even Carter.
This is the first book I have actually read written by Sandra Brown. I have a few books by Sandra Brown but I just haven’t read them, big mistake. Seeing Red, was great. I liked the relationship between Trapper and Bailey. The mystery Trapper and Bailey were solving had me intrigued through the entire book. I thought had solved the mystery but didn’t. Can’t wait to read more from Sandra Brown.

OMG! You all are in for a treat!! Seeing Red just jumped to quite possibly my favorite Sandra Brown book to date. Let’s just say I’m on a major book high. Ms. Brown has outdone herself with this mixture of suspense/thriller, mystery, and romance. I have so many passages highlighted and mainly for their humor. The straight-faced banter, sarcasm, and f@ck you’s are just too much fun. And the characters! Please allow me to introduce you to John Trapper and Kerra Bailey…two equally spitfire, hardheaded, and passionate people who will steam up your e-reader like nobody’s business. Sandra Brown has outdone herself with Seeing Red and now that I’ve finished it and know the outcome, I’m going to have to read it again from a new perspective. I can’t wait!!
My favorite quote:
“Bad things happen when you least expect them.” “So do good things.”
Thank you to the following for permitting me access to an advance reader’s copy (ARC) of Seeing Red. This generosity did not impact my honesty when rating/reviewing.

Keera Bailey is hot on the heels of the next big story that is sure to skyrocket her career, the only problem is the star of her story is somewhat of a recluse and has no interest in opening his life up to the public eye. But Keera is a determined woman, and she will go to any length necessary to get her story, so she gets creative and finds herself and “in” that is sure to get her that interview. And she winds up getting far more than she bargained for…
This is truly one of my favorite books by Ms. Brown! It will have you teetering on the edge of your seat the whole way through… and leave you gasping for air a few times too! The story line is filled with suspense, intrigue, and some serious steamy times that are sure to have you in need of a fan! She really outdid herself with this one, it kept me captivated until the wee hours of the morning, and I have to say it was definitely worth the loss of zzz’s! Highly recommend this one, I guarantee once you pick it up, you won’t be able to put it down!
Sandra Brown is just IT for me. That’s the easiest way to try and convey how much I love her books. Every. Single. Book is a massive hit for me. I always love them and usually, I pick them up totally blind – not having read the blurb or not. Not reading a blurb is completely crazy and not something I regularly do. But when you’ve written 978 books and I’ve loved every one of them, well … there’s no point reading a blurb when I could just pick up the book, right?
Anyway, so it was no surprise that when I got this one, I immediately dove into it head first. Then, I was shocked … I had a hard time pushing through the first dozen or so pages. I’m talking, I felt as if I was in quicksand and with each word that I read, I was just being bogged down. That’s a pretty heavy thing to say. One of my favorite authors writing a bad book? Absolutely not. But this book is about a bombing. I’m from Oklahoma City. My dad was a criminalist for the state at the time of the Murrah bombing and this book just hit REALLY close to home. It just took me a couple of days to wrap my mind around a book about that kind of horrific action and I kept picking up then putting the book down.
That being said, when I finally got through the initial shock of the subject of this book, I absolutely adored it. The characters are absolutely flawless and you’ll find yourself falling in love with both Kerra and Trapper just like I did. As with all Brown books, the plot moves swiftly and covers a lot of ground in just 300 short pages. There are tons of surprises and twists that I never saw coming and I was constantly kept on my toes with what was happening. I always have my ideas on how one of her books is going to go and then it ends in some unfathomable way that I just never even suspected. So the suspense was great and the romance portion didn’t leave me wanting in any way either. The pages practically crackled with the sparks that kept shooting between Kerra and Trapper.
Just like I say with every single Sandra Brown book that I read, I think that this one is my new favorite and there is no way that she can top this one. No possible way. I’m sure this will be proven wrong with whatever book she cranks out next. Thank goodness for Sandra Brown – she makes me fall in love with reading every time I crack open one of her books.
