From USA Today Bestseller Wendy Vella comes an exciting Regency series about legend, love and destiny, with a hint of magic … at his side and understand what he is capable of…until now.
Miss Lilliana Braithwaite has always appeared a woman of little sense, with a tendency to dress like a color-blind field mouse. Dev had, for two years, ignored her until one night he finds her on the streets of London, attempting to rescue a child, and thereby hurling herself into danger. From that day forth everything between them changes, and in Lilly he finds the woman who could tame his heart. However, she does not appear convinced by that fact.
With only a matter of months before she receives her inheritance Lilly is determined to hold her secrets close. No easy task when Lord Sinclair seems equally determined to meddle in her affairs. Lilly tries to repel him, but finds herself weakening as he rescues her from the fiend intent on disrupting her plans. Soon she can not walk away from Dev, but can she allow herself to trust him enough to give him her heart?

I wanted to read more of her books. Love the characters and their families.
This had a good story line, but I thought it a little out there. People being able to see future or past is a little weird for me. Other than that it was a good historical fiction.
I’m really enjoying reading the Sinclair and Raven series and I also love the paranormal touch to the stories as well. This one is about Devon and Lilly and it’s filled with suspense, secrets, danger and of course, romance! Looking forward to the next book in this series!!
Devon and Lilly’s story was sweet! This family seems to thrive on trouble. Once more the Sinclair family has to ride to the rescue as the Raven cousins find themselves in the middle of a crime syndicate intent on training children to rob the rich. Devon’s overprotective nature gets pushed to the limits in this one! Loved it!
I loved this Book 2 just as much as Book 1! The family, the Sinclair’s, are such fun, caring & loving bunch of siblings & they each have a special sensory “gift”. Lord Devonshire Sinclair (Dev), our hero knows the heightened senses of his family & that they are a result of an agreement made years ago between & Sinclair & the Raven families to Honor & Protect the Raven’s. He feels destined to remain alone in his life as no woman would ever understand him or his siblings “gift”. Then along came the senseless, obviously color blind by the way she dresses Miss Lilliana Braithwaite (Lilly). Dev has ignored her existence for 2 years but he finds her one night on the streets of London, attempting to save a child & putting them both in danger. All bet are off, because from that night everything changes for Dev & Lilly From that day forth everything between them changes. Dev sees Lilly as a woman who could tame his heart & understand the family “gifts”. Lilly doesn’t seem to sure about that fact; however, Dev keeps butting in to her affairs & he rescues from a horrible fate & she begins to weaken towards him. Soon she is hooked but can she trust him with her heart? I highly recommend this book & this series & can’t wait to read the next one!heart?
I loved this whole series and wish there were more! Easy read with lots to hold your attention.
love her style!!!
Love her books
I liked it so much that I bought all three books in the series (and others by the same author).
Love the Sinclair/ Raven special bond. Lilianna was feisty and able to stand up for herself. I enjoyed that.
Bit of a different twist on a routine Regency
Excellent unity in the book series. Makes you want more. You hate it to end.
It was fun discovering the “gifts” , the mystery, the love everyone had for one another. I enjoyed discovering things the gentry families did besides visiting and attending elaborate balls.
Seeing Danger is a phenomenal historical romance by Wendy Vella. Ms. Vella has once again delivered a well-written book and loaded it with outstanding characters. Devonshire Sinclair rescues Lilliana while she’s trying to stop a child abduction. Dev and Lilly’s story is packed with drama, action, suspense and sizzle. Once started, I couldn’t put this book down. I enjoyed reading Seeing Danger and look forward to many more books by Wendy Vella. Seeing Danger is book 2 of the Sinclair and Raven Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
The story plods along, and I had a problem with Devon as a sexual harasser, not taking Lilly’s firm requests to stop his advances. There is some cute banter between the siblings. The paranormal aspects make for interesting plot developments. Sometimes the sentences were fragmented, and it annoyed me when Devon asks Lilly if she knows how to shoot a pistol, after she shot a villian in the foot earlier in the book, in Dev’s presence. And did she get to keep her grandmother’s money?
Liked the premise, and very competent style and grammar, but this was a little too modern a plot for me. Lots of navel-gazing and psychological thrashing about, lots of emphasis on the sacredness of family bonds and familyhood and the hero’s silent sufferings. And other male characters’ silent sufferings. For me, it was a DNF, but for someone into modern psychological buzztheories it might be perfectly enjoyable.
I loved it!
very informative as to the dangers facing children in 1800’s England. Just enough paranormal to add interest to this romance.
Loved this book. A twist on the usual historical romance genre – real attempt at developing characters that you could care about. Great book. Read the series straight after!
It was an entertaining read.
