This is Angelo Dobbs’ worst nightmare. A good man lies dead, and with the Borderline Freaks MC’s president and founding member gone, the leadership position within the club falls to him. It’s not that he can’t manage the easy task of leading a group of good men; he would just have preferred to stay a little farther out of the spotlight. But when his brothers issue the call, he answers.Carly … answers.
Carly Gibson, daughter of his dead friend, is an unexpected—but not unwelcome—complication for his new role. She’s the most intriguing woman he’s ever met, capable and filled with a strength of character. He finds himself instinctively drawn to her. Could he have found the woman meant to complete him, finally?
Over the past couple of years, Dobbs—Neptune to the men of the BFMC—has watched as his closest friends found their soulmates. Now, their women are an integral part of the club. When they and Carly are threatened, Neptune will do anything to ensure their safety—and, just maybe, his future.

See You in Valhalla
This is the 4th and final book in the Borderline Freaks MC series. Knowing that and the meaning behind the title, I cried before even reading the blurb. MariaLisa is known to kill off beloved characters. However, stick with this book. Neptune, Angelo Dobbs, does not like the spotlight and is thrust into it with the death of their leader, Gibby.
Gibby’s daughter, Carly, cannot to be found. She is in her own hell and crawls out with some help, making her way home to find her father dead. She teams with the BFMC to find those who hurt all their women and continue. Carly is no push over and is perfect for Neptune.
If the series has to end, MariaLisa did it with style and grace and leaves you wanting more.
I’m just a girl looking at the last sentence in SYIV (See You in Valhalla) and wishing and hoping that MariaLisa will give us –
A book for Ryman. It’s not often secondary characters deserve a book of their own, but I can guarantee that when readers get Ryman’s words on the page… They’re gonna want HIM in a book all his own.
More of the BFMC. More of them all. Maybe Wolf’s daughter Erika needs a book.
These short stories are just a peek at how phenomenal MariaLisa is at giving a good solid story. She builds Neptune and Carly wholly making the readers want more of Carly and her most capable self that just completely matches what Neptune needs and wants in his life. He’s got big shoulders that are perfect for shouldering his new club responsibilities, but they’re even better with Carly supporting him.
Still, just like with every other deMora book, I would never complain if we saw more of any of these BFMC again!
What a phenomenal ending to the series. May I first say I HATE to see this series end. I hope the author finds a way to bring the amazing men of the Borderline Freaks back in some way or fashion. These men are not just bikers, they are ex-servicemen that have banded together to help themselves and honor those that gave their all. The books are quick reads but boy do they ever pack a punch, especially See You In Valhalla.
If you have read the series, you know the club has lost their founder/Prez, Gibby. Taken way to soon and in a horrific way. The club turns to Neptune for leadership. A job he doesn’t want due to his close friend’s death, but one he proudly steps up to take. It’s due to Gibby’s death that Neptune meets Carly, Gibby’s daughter. A girl Gibby kept secret in order to keep her safe. Neptune is determined to be their for her and help her through this tragedy in anyway he can. He’s drawn to Carly’s strong, self-reliant, determined personality. These two fit together like a pair of old slippers and the author had me sighing as their personal story unfolded.
Carly, like Neptune and the club, want justice for her father and set out to do just that. Once again, the men that murdered Gibby, bring trouble to the clubs door. But now, while the club members are ready to take up the fight to avenge Gibby’s death they also have to keep the women safe.
I can’t begin to tell you what a remarkable, emotional series this is. I can only highly recommend you grab it up. They are 4 quick outstanding reads that are not to be missed. Kudo’s Ms. DeMora, for your terrific portrayal of our servicemen and their lives of dedication to each other once they are home and to the memories of those that gave their all. This is a must read series that I know I will be reading over and over in the years to come. A series worth much more than the 5 stars we are allowed to give.
2 Thumbs Up and 5 Resounding Stars.
Ok I hate to say this but this is the last book for the Borderline Freaks MC , I do not want it to end !!
Neptune is the main character in this one along with Carly who is Gibbys daughter , there is a brother who betrays the brotherhood and helps take some of the women but the kidnappers underestimate how strong these women are and justice is served,.
Carly and Neptune has a strong connection and their story made my heart race until the last word was read. I have so enjoyed this MC .
And on a side note I love how one guy in this book said his road name and why he has it!!!
Another gritty tale in this series. My emotions were up and down. I enjoyed the love and heat between Carly and Angelo. Carly was a strong person, doing the job she did, and being able to make the right decisions when necessary. I loved Angelo’s protectiveness and decisiveness when it came to Carly and the MC. I recommend this story and the series.
I received a copy of this story through Enticing Journey Book Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.
I have so enjoyed this whole series, and I’m sad it’s ending!
This story continues where number 3 left off and includes the characters from the prior three stories as well. It is mainly Neptune and Carly’s story, but there’s a bit of closure for everyone except maybe Monday. 🙂
All of these are quick-reading love stories revolving around an MC and the women that make these tough but very human guys fall. It’s very satisfying to have a group of heroines who can save themselves, and every character’s story is unique.
Such a great series!
What a great addition to this ongoing series! We loved Neptune’s and Carly’s story as these two were the perfect match for one another in all ways that count.
Carly was one of the most interesting characters that we have read about so far as she sacrificed so much of herself for so many others that she has never met but, she was a champion for all women and a true hero and losing her father was yet another blow but, this women was the strongest person we ever encountered in body and mind and spirit and we absolutely loved her.
I loved the chemistry between Carly and Neptune as they were just so in tune with one another and their relationship just developed so naturally that it was heart warming.
Overall it was a great story from beginning to end and everything in between. The story was emotional and intriguing and had a great cast of characters both good and bad.The Borderline Freak’s MC members are some of our favorite MC characters for 2019 as they are all so love-able.The story drew you right in right from the very beginning and I love to encounter a strong female character and Carly was just that.Carly fit right in with her fathers club as they are all about justice and love and family.Awesome tale for us as this story definitely tugs at heartstrings as they say.
“What a moving and touching story !”
Recommended read to all.
Title: See You in Valhalla
Author: MariaLisa deMora
Genre: Contemporary MC Romance
**RECEIVED ARC FOR HONEST REVIEW**
Final installment in this four part series. States each book can be read as a standalone but there is a central storyline that culminates with this book.
Each book is a quick, easy read. Except for book one each story is pretty much an insta-love romance. True to form you see the characters meet and next thing you know they declare their love and desire for each other. There really is no buildup of intimacy or connection. That is one reason I dislike novellas in general. And these books follow this insta-love pattern. I dislike it but it kinda works except in this book.
See in the other books there is a connection that is built upon. In the last book he had been coming in to the diner to see her. Still quick but still something to build on (met a few times). Here they met, talked during the night about Gibby, her dad, drama happens the next day and he declares he wants her forever. Dude you just met her. Did you not learn anything from the movie Speed? Other than crappy sequels happen, relationships that happen from intense emotional drama don’t last. Yeah, yeah, yeah…movie…book…fictional…not real…yadda yadda yadda. Got it.
Also, there is just so much you could do with this book and story. So many paths. Why a novella? I say this each time: each character deserves so much more book. They are so complex and the author does a great job creating them but I feel to truly flesh them out and let their stories fly and give them wings they need more book. Yet, deMora does a great job expressing each character.
I am sad to see the end to this series. The Borderline Freaks are interesting. I think they have great potential. Sadly, this time I can only give a 3/5.
