Author Interview
Q: What makes the Wishful series special?
Wishful is a collection of southern romance novels honoring my Mississippi roots. When I started the series, I set out to highlight everything that I love about living in the small town South–all our quirks, foibles, and dreams provide a fabulous (and often funny) backdrop to contemporary romances about stubborn, independent women and the men who love them.
Q: Who would dig these books?
Wishful is a southern romance series written for anyone looking for love in a small town. If you loved Hart of Dixie and miss the residents of Bluebell, you just might fall in love with Wishful. It’s a town where everybody knows your name and hope springs eternal! Many of my readers also enjoy the books of Susan Elizabeth Phillips, Kristan Higgins, Melanie Shawn, Ava Miles, and Jill Shalvis.
Q: What order should I read the books in?
This southern romance series has been written so that each story is a standalone that wraps up with a happily ever after by The End. That said, if you want to read them in chronological order I suggest this:
* To Get Me To You
* Be Careful, It’s My Heart
* Know Me Well
* Just For This Moment
* Wish I Might
* Turn My World Around
* Dance Me A Dream
* See You Again
Q: Are there crossovers with other series?
YES! My Meet Cute Romance series of novelettes includes two Wishful stories.
* Once Upon A Coffee
* Once Upon A Setup
My WISHING FOR A HERO series takes a look at the more suspenseful side of Wishful.
* If I Didn’t Care

Another great book in the Wishful series. This second chance romance sees Sandy reuniting with the man she should have been with for the last 30 years. It is nice to see an older couple finding love and a HEA. We also get to see Norah and Cam finally get their wedding, we have been waiting since book 1 for this. A great read.
I have been intrigued by Sandra Crawford and Gerald Peyton since I started reading this series and their story was absolutely amazing. If you love second chance stores with older characters, this is a must read.
Second Chances
Was never so true as in this story. I loved it. I so enjoyed how the town came together to give the happy couple Cam & Norah the wedding of their dreams. Then also bringing two people back together in Trey and Sandra.
Wishful book 1, To Get Me To You was Cam & Norah’s story. Cam’s mom Sandy & Nora’s boss Gerald were featured prominently in that book and have appeared sporadically in others throughout the series. While this is a full story, I think it would be better enjoyed having listened to book 1. Also, as there are a lot of folks to keep track of in Wishful, it’s helpful to listen to the whole series in order.
I’m thrilled Kait Nolan gave us a mature couple – late 40s, early 50s – for this second chance romance. Cam & Norah’s wedding is finally happening, but a huge storm and Sandy’s ex cause some serious issues. Trey steps in with a plan to make things happen, which also includes working closely with Sandy. I liked the way Nolan has the MCs struggle with being independent and yet wanting to be part of a couple. In some ways – wisdom comes with age and other times folks just become set in their ways. I enjoyed experiencing Trey & Sandy work through that and get their own HEA.
Narration:
Amy McFadden does a great job again with a huge cast and all the southern accents and attitudes. Cam & Nora even sound the same as I remember them from book 1.
A nice story about two people who reunite after 30 years. Well written and flows easily. This book is in my Keeper file, to be re-read again. Well worth adding to your list.
Yet another terrific book in this wonderful series. I am so happy to read a more mature love story as not all readers are under the age of 40. The back and forth between present day and the flashbacks, from 30 years ago, kept this a very interesting and satisfying read.
See You Again by Kait Nolan is a fabulous contemporary romance. Ms. Nolan has provided readers with a well-written book. This smooth read is packed with an outstanding cast of characters. Trey is CEO of Peyton Consolidated and is ready to meet Sandy…again. Sandy is the town mayor and trying to make sure her son’s wedding goes off without a problem. Sandy and Trey’s story is loaded with drama, humor, spice, action and suspense. I enjoyed reading See You Again and look forward to reading more from Kait Nolan in the future. See You Again is book 8 of the Wishful Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
I have been provided with a copy of See You Again by the author for an impartial review. Ahhhh I absolutely loved this story and getting to come back to Wishful and see Cam and Norah’s wedding. This story you get to see Cam’s mother find her true love. I absolutely loved getting to see a mother who has been dealt with some tough things in her life finally find her happily ever after. I absolutely loved getting to see Sandra and Trey come together and try to figure their way. This story was not long enough I wanted more. I can’t wait to see what’s next for wishful.
It’s good to get back to Wishful, that small southern town that’s so similar to every other small town in America, only not quite. Anyone who grew up in small-town America will relate to this series. They’ll totally understand all the undercurrents that run through the town and how utterly frustrating, but endearing, the people are.
See You Again is a quick, sweet, and entirely fun book that highlights Sandy Crawford, the mayor of Wishful, and Gerald Peyton, a billionaire CEO who has invested a lot in Wishful. They were almost sweethearts in college, but things didn’t work out. Neither one ever was able to forget the other. Now it’s decades later and there’s a second chance looming over them….
ARC for honest review with no compensation
See You Again is the 8th book in the Wishful series and letting the older and wiser Sandy find that love is better the 2nd time around…..
Sandy is the mayor of Wishful and is working with Peyton Consolidated and the CEO’s assistant Nora to help revitalize the town. Nora and Cam (Sandy’s son) have fallen in love and are to be married but a huge storm blows through town and a tree falls on the church. The CEO of Peyton Consolidated goes to Sandy’s office to offer his help to fix the church and he the man she left behind 30 years ago…..Trey…as she knew him and not as Gerald the CEO.
Gerald “Trey” Peyton is the man who fell in love with Sandy, 30 years ago but when she chose to stay in a bad marriage he left. He has never forgotten her or his feelings for her. Now he’s in town and wants to help with fixing the church for his assistant’s wedding. When he and Sandy meet again at her office the sparks start flying again between them…. so he takes her to Las Vegas and they end up married…but will they stay married???
Lots of things happening simultaneously, but that’s what makes this story so good…you get to see what has been taking place in Wishful and catching up with the town’s people.
I enjoyed reading about an older couple finding a 30 year old love for each other.
While most chick-lit romances are predictable, I found this one to have an original bent to it. Good, quick read.
Another great read in a good series
I enjoyed it.
Really good book
Entertaining and fun
How refreshing, a love story between mature individuals. I’ve enjoyed the Wishful series but this book is my favorite.
So glad Sandy and trey got their own story. Great to see older characters get their happy ending
A taste of small town Southern charm along with wonderful characters!
Have read this book. A nice happy ending.
