“Evil doesn’t sleep, doesn’t rest, doesn’t forget.”
This is the 2nd book in the Gavert City series but the story stands alone, although mentions of it are in the first book. This one is definitely just as twisty as the first with the cult focus and the disappearance six years ago of Mellie Gardner. These characters have been through so much emotional damage from their pasts but still have a lot of fight for life left. I would say the romance is mild but i think it’s expected for YA.
The narrator, Megan Carter, has so much talent! Not only does each character have distinct voices but she sings too! Very enjoyable performance.

See Me, See Me Not is a hainting suspense with a side of happily ever after. Their budding romance is easily waylaid by their coping mechanisms and their individual histories. What they don’t realize, will definitely bite them in the butt.
Tessa lives in the shadow of her sister’s disappearance. Her mother is lost. Her father no longer lives with them. Her only source of comfort is going off to college…eventually. When her childhood friend reappears, its both a blessing and a curse. She just isn’t sure which is stronger.
Luke has to hide. His feelings. His wants, his dreams are all hidden while he comes to terms with his past. He can’t be anything other than a boy in limbo. Limbo is tearing him apart.
These two should have a a happy story with wonderful things and no worries. However, their reality couldn’t be further from those wishful thoughts.
The author lures you in, captures your interest, and then chains you to the pages until you can no longer catch your breath. Just when you start to turn purple (figuratively), a new air finds you.
Watch out for friendly people…watch our for strays…watch your siblings closely…you never know…
This book hooked me from the beginning. I just couldn’t put it down. I fell for these characters and, what a story just perfect.
Some times our past collide. The disappearance of Mellie several years ago has been hard on Tess and her family. Her parents are separated and kids treat her differently at school. She works 2 jobs and tries to keep things together for her and her mom. Luke has returned to town and is living with his uncle. No one is sure of why he left and why has he come back to town. Tess and Luke have renewed their childhood friendship with some boundaries. They draw closer and soon learn that they are not so different.
Story is told through through their eyes. We see how the disappearance of a child effects the family and how they deal. Story is filled with strong emotions. Enjoyed how the series continues.

Another grand adventure. Totally different from the first book, yet just as engaging. I truly enjoyed and am looking forward to reading the third installment

Tessa’s life was destroyed when her sister Mellie disappeared It caused her parents to divorce and her mother is obsessed with finding her daughter and spends money that they do not have to do it. So now Tessa is supporting her mother and giving up her dreams Then Luke returns he was her protector at school but he has his own demons to handle As they both work at finding what happened to Mellie danger will stalk them This is an unusual book in that you also get Mellie’s narration throughout giving you a three point view of things that happen Definitely a book that you need to be able to read without interruption and well worth the effort
