Book 4 of the “Full Heart Ranch” series — Can be read as a stand-alone book, but reading books 1-3 will help with the back-story. No cliff-hanger. Book 5 (Help Me, Hold Me) is the final book of the series, and it is now available. Tanner James barely remembers who he was before joining the FBI a dozen years ago, and he’s okay with that. Life-threatening assignments tend to change a person, and … person, and he’s learned to become whoever he needs to be in order to handle danger and succeed in the tasks he’s given. Since there’s no one to miss the old Tanner, it’s all working out–until his boss decides he needs to take some time off.
One look into the cold dark eyes of the new volunteer at the veterans retreat center has Izzy Harding plotting ways to lighten the man’s burdens, whatever they might be. Turns out that’s not a job for the faint-hearted. Tanner wants to keep to himself, just doing his thing and staying safe behind the walls he’s built up to ward off people like her. Not gonna happen…..Izzy’s determined to be his friend, and she’s not easily put off. He needs to relax and enjoy life a little, and God-willing she’s going to help him do it.
There are so many reasons why he should resist her efforts, but the girl is getting past his defenses. She says God is in control, but why would He care? Tanner knows he needs to pull back before she gets hurt. He has another job coming up and he doesn’t need the distraction. But darkness craves light, and he craves Izzy.
He can’t stay. She has to let him leave. Only God knows how it will end.

I already wrote a review
Good clean read. Need to go back and read the others in the set.
Really enjoyed this one
I really enjoyed these characters and wanted things to work out for them. I loved the setting at a rehabilitation camp for veterans. It was good to read about the main characters and their carrers as their relationship evolves.
I loved the book from start to finish. Good Christian reading, action and romance included.
It grabbed me from page 1 to the very end. Loved it!
Enjoyed this very much.
Great story of those who risk their lives in various areas of the FBI. Sweet love story with happy ending but many times of apprehension, fear and much prayer that the loved one on assignment returns safely. Original. Loved it.
Too much foul language.
Brings to point what undercover agents face in dealing with terrorism and the families they have to leave behind. Great character detail.
Wonderful book. I could hardly put it down.
I did not like the girl at all. Everyone told her to leave this guy alone but she just wouldn’t listen. I guess she couldn’t believe he didn’t want anything to do with her. I could not read this book because of her arrogance
Loved the way the author handled the top secret content and love stories
Amazing series! Can’t wait to finish the rest of them!
These characters whose personalities, life experiences and professional goals were so different faced a unique challenge in their relationship. The story kept me interested as they wrestled with their growing closeness in the face of seemingly impossible odds.
Loved it.
Best Christian romance book I’ve read in awhile. Loved their honesty with each other from the beginning. Very intense section at the end but very interesting with all the FBI work.I loved all of it. Especially the neat friendships at the ranch. This was the first I read in the series. Now I am definitely going back and starting at the beginning so I can read them all. And it made me pray and be so grateful for those who willingly give above and beyond to keep us safe.
Strong characters, original and interesting story line. Strong faith element.
Wonderful written. Kept me not wanting to put the book down.
Hard to put down!!
