I do not like Scottish brogue, and the book is full of it. I was very disappointed.
A clean easy read
Seductive Surrender was a really good book. The reason why im giving it a four star instead of a five is that it took me awhile to get really into reading it. Gwendolyn sold everything in South Carolina to move her orphaned niece and nephew who has become a Laird in Scotland at the death of the previous Laird. There she meets Dugall whom her coach ran over. With his help she has to catch a killer out to get rid of her nephew and her. another thing I loved about this book is the way Gwen swears and insults people, it is very rare that a historical lady will swear in a book just so you know, they are very funny. An example is when Gwen says “Lily-livered, deceitful, turd in the punchbowl.”
