Maya Banks, the “New York Times” bestselling author of romance and romantic suspense has captivated readers with her steamy Scottish historical novels, perfect for fans of Julie Garwood. In “Seduction of a Highland Lass, ” an indomitable Highland warrior is caught between loyalty and forbidden love.
Fiercely loyal to his elder brother, Alaric McCabe leads his clan in the fight for their … birthright. Now he is prepared to wed for duty, as well. But on his way to claim the hand of Rionna McDonald, daughter of a neighboring chieftain, he is ambushed and left for dead. Miraculously, his life is saved by the soft touch of a Highland angel, a courageous beauty who will put to the test his fealty to his clan, his honor, and his deepest desires.
An outcast from her own clan, Keeley McDonald was betrayed by those she loved and trusted. When the wounded warrior falls from his horse, she is drawn to his strong, lean body. The wicked glint in his green eyes ignites a passion that will follow them back to Alaric’s keep, where their forbidden love draws them deeper into the pleasures of the flesh. But as conspiracy and danger circle closer, Alaric must make an impossible choice: Will he betray his blood ties for the woman he loves?

Audiobook: Narrator – Kristen Potter
It’s officially official. I’m absolutely in LOVE with this narrator. I cannot imagine another doing such an outstanding job of both male and female voices, with accents while talking, none while “reading” the story. I just can’t recommend this narrator enough – at least when it comes to this series!
I read …
Loved it.
Another amazing story by Banks. I couldn’t put this book down. I loved all the love and heartbreak between Alaric and Keeley. There relationship was so strong and emotional I was hooked by the end of the first chapter.
Now I am going to read the third book because I need to see what happens with Caelen!
I loved this book. I’m a great fan of historical fiction, especially Highlanders. Love Maya Banks books. I wish more were available on library system’s Libby app.
She keeps you on the edge of your seat. The steamy scenes are mind blowing.
The first romance novel I read was a Scottish Highlands novel by Julie Garwood. After reading most of hers, I eventually moved on to other sub- genres like paranormal, contemporary and dark erotica. But when I read this book, it was like rediscovering a first love. I absolutely enjoyed this book. The characters were entertaining and the story …
This was so amazing. I was so caught up in everything between Alaric and Keeley. I was on the edge of my seat with all the tension, longing, and passion happening and I was pretty much dying for my HEA. So freaking fantastic!
This is the first romance novel that brought tears to my eyes. Will definitely read the 3rd book!
While i found the ending to be a bit..meh..i still loved the book. I was expecting a bigger ending. I actually felt like it could have gone a bit longer. But nonetheless i thought it was great book and can’t wait to read the next one.
I loved this entire series, but this book was my favorite. Keeley and Alaric are a great couple; both strong characters.
Maggie Shane is an awesome author. Her stories are always page turners and can keep you glued to them.
I have been a fan of this author for years but am totally frustrated that the release of the latest book in this series has once again been postponed. It’s gone from 10/18, then10/19, then 10/20 & now 10/22. If the same thing happens with the KGI series, I will never read anymore of her books.
Loved the story and characters
Wonderful characters
Such a sweet love story. Had me crying at the end.
I didn’t like all drama these two had to go thru.
I love all the Maya Banks Highlander series. Definite read.
LOVE this book and others I have read by Maya Banks. She keeps you up all night reading! She has lots of bad guys and suspense in her stories and not all sex and romance. For me to like and recommend any book, it has to have a happy ending too. Love books about Scotland to begin with. Her books that I have read so far remind me of Hannah Howell …
Of the trilogy, this is my least favorite, I’ll admit, but it was still very, very good. I especially like Keeley’s character. She is quite the little spit-fire, although she wouldn’t agree if you said so. I appreciate her as an incredibly well-written character. This is a person who is definitely hardy – she has been exiled by her own clan …
