Willa Knight: Dweller? Sol? Accidental evolutionary hiccup? Willa has never been a particularly useful dweller: she isn’t very good at chores, she isn’t very good at worshipping, she isn’t very good at not having opinions, and she isn’t very good with rules—but none of that matters anymore. The rules are changing. The dwellers are trying to make their own way in the world, and Willa can’t seem to … world, and Willa can’t seem to help getting tangled up in their plans.
Luckily, she has the Abcurse brothers to help her out—until she doesn’t, and suddenly she’s alone again in a world on the brink of chaos. With the Abcurses gone, she’ll have to rely on her wits, and her sister Emmy, to stay under the radar and survive.
Because someone wants her dead.
But, really, what else is new?
This is a full novel, 90,000 words. Book 3 of 5 in the Curse of the Gods Series
more
this is my new favorite series!
Another great book in this series. More and more things are happening but it’s easy to keep track. Willa is getting closer to her guys and the gods are in an uproar. I’m not sure what’s going to happen next
To be completely honest, and even though it was still great, this was my least favorite book so far. Why? Because I sorely missed the Abcurses those few chapters they were gone. What can I say? I’ve grown attached to them and their dynamic with Willa. The story just isn’t the same when they’re not around.
However, the separation was totally worth it now that that stupid pact is broken. The word swimming will never be the same for me.
Chaos reigns as old regimes are threatened and the downtrodden rise
Well, I’ve raced through the first three books in just over 24 hours, so that should give you some idea of how much I love this series.
This is the third book in the Curse of the Gods series. This book really picked up the pace. Chaos reigns as old regimes are threatened and the downtrodden rise up to make their voices heard.
Our main characters are explored in further depth. Previously secondary characters are brought to the fore. Best of all, the sexual tension which has been brewing for most of this series between our heroine and the five brothers who have brought her into their circle is finally addressed. Finally! Much more of that please!
This series is great. If you haven’t read the previous books, go and get them. You won’t regret it. I’m about to start book four. Who needs sleep anyway?
These books are so ridiculously weird and they just keep getting better and better!
Whoever thought of the concept about the servers, which are actually dead dwellers refurbished into robotic zombie-like servants, is freaking genius.
These two authors cowriting a series together is just a dream come true!
This series is like a best friend. I instantly feel in love with the main characters. The story line is so well put together and flows. I commend the two ladies who obviously put there all into the characters, world and mischievousness of this series. Secondly Vanessa Moyan brings it all to life in the first sentence. I love how she make Willa and all the Abcurses just pop. I own all the books in audio, ebook and hard copy; need I say more.
This review DOES contain SPOILERS.
This series is getting so good! I am racing through this series at the speed of light. I cannot get enough of spunky Willa Knight and her drop-dead–gorgeous Abcurse brothers.
I just love the characters in this. I love their dynamic. As absurd as the idea of five brothers loving one girl sounds, it simply works in this series. The relationship between the characters and their chemistry with each other is written very well. I love the character growth that we see with Willa, and even with the Abcurse brothers. I am still curious about Cyrus. I don’t think that he is a bad guy and I really want him to show us his hand in this godly deck of cards. I still think that there should be more of Emmy in this series. She is an important person in Willa’s life and I would think that she would be present in Willa’s life more than she has been. And I would have liked to see the Abcurse brothers soften to her more than they do. It feels like they simply tolerate Emmy because of who she is to Willa, but it seems like they don’t truly care. If you love someone you typically care about who they care about on principle.
We finally get some actual romance in this book, which I was happy to see. The slow-burn method really pays off in this book and makes it all worth it. The bonds that have been created are so strong that it makes the romance burn. The sexual tension in this series is off the charts. I was honestly happy to see Willa seal the deal with at least one (or two) of the Abcurse brothers. I was actually surprised to see which brother got the honor of being first. Nonetheless, my shipper heart was beating like a drum since I love all the Abcurse brothers. I did think that the sex scene was way too short and not as detailed as it should have been. It was over way too quickly. I am curious if the dynamic will continue the way it has or if there will be any tension in the next books.
I liked that the plot had some more depth in this book. We are finally getting some answers to questions that we have been asking, even if we aren’t getting the entire picture. There are still so many things unanswered, but I feel like this book expanded on many things. The plot keeps a very good pacing and stays true to the balance that the previous books maintained. I love that the story is filled with humor while still having some emotional moments. I still love the premise of this series. This series is really lighthearted and is really wonderful if you don’t take it too seriously. I feel that the premise could have worked even better with a more serious tone though.
The world-building was much better in this book. We get to see some of the strange inner workings of this world where the gods are concerned. I loved the small history lesson about Topia from the panteras. A lot of it was vague as hell, but it did make me question a lot of things about the gods. I am so curious to learn more about Staviti. He is hiding something, I can just feel it.
Overall, I am totally hooked on this series! This series is addictive and will entertain you from the first pages. If you are looking for a light fantasy read with plenty of hot gods and a quirky heroine that answers to no one then you’ve found it. I can’t wait to begin reading Strength!
Finally! Finally people! The deed is done!
OH. MY. GODS.
I WANT MOOOORE!!!
The more we go into this series, the more it gets better, steamier, and electric!
The plot gets more interesting and the characters just gets better than ever.
I can’t wait to start the next book. Seriously, starting the first book Trickery, I didn’t expect this to be this addictive and entertaining!
Seduction brings the return of my favorite, clumsy, often-naked, chaos-causing, dweller Willa and her beautiful Abcurses. The Abcurses have been called to Topia to stand trial for killing the Chancellor. It’s not safe to take Willa with them since they need to keep her from attracting Staviti’s attention and out of Rau’s hands. The soul-link must be extended to keep Willa safe and only the Neutral God himself, Cyrus can help. Once the link is secured, the Abcurses take off for what is expected to only be a day or two absence at most. What type of trouble could Willa get into left at Blesswood for that short amount of time? Ha! Several fires, a kidnapping, being left for dead, rescuing a herd of Pantera, sneaking into Topia and learning magical secrets for just a start. The Abcurses should know that this girl is not safe out of their sight!
I can’t get enough of this series. I am totally addicted. This one has adventures and answers. Willa is always surprising, sweet, and silly. This time she takes control and gets treated with plenty of sweetness and some sexy times. Much appreciated! I love a book that has so much to offer. This one had so much story; humor, revealing answers that led to more questions, betrayals, heartbreak, romance, and love. Willa is one of my favorite leading ladies of all time. Her inner thoughts are the best. I find myself giggling along with the Abcurses. And the Abcurses, 1-5, Rome, Siret, Coen, Yael, and Aros are absolutely delicious.
The JJ’s have created an incredible world with such attention to detail. The characters are excellent in every way and the story just keeps getting better. With each new book, I expect so much and these two deliver even more. There’s such originality and depth to this story with twists and turns you never see coming. Chaos doesn’t begin to accurately portray Willa. I love the idea that Rau or Cyrus or Staviti himself thinks that they can control her. I can see Topia falling first. Only the combined efforts of the Abcurses can rein her in and only because she’s willing to make an effort with them. This is a can’t put down, read through the night kind of book. The ending will leave you a bit stunned and desperately wanting the next book. So, so good!
Another laugh inducing, heart melting, make you sigh addition to a favorite series! These two amazingly imaginative Goddess authors have totally created another jewel I could not love Willa more!! She’s everything that a character should be! I love having an inside view to her thoughts. It’s even better reading what the brothers think and how they react to her inner monologues Finally we saw some romantically intense scenes!!! And can I just say that Neutral is promising to be even more a part of the series! There were a few exceptionally sad moments that lead to some very emotionally charged scenes. Of course chaos runs amuck This series absolutely has my heart I am forever a fan and an avid reader of both Ms. Eve and Ms. Washington. These two together create pure magic!!
This was amazing!!! Can’t get enough of Willa or the brothers. The story was entertaining and hot! Can’t wait to read the next one!!!
So so good! Willa and her Abcurses are trying to figure out her powers, while trying to keep her safe. So many twists along the with Willa’s sass and clumsiness, she is hilarious! I read books 1-3 in this series in 2 days I absolutely could not put them down! I can’t wait to find out what happens in Strength especially with the cliff hanger in this one!
I have 100% fallen in love with Willa as a female lead. I was afraid there would become a time when her inner dialogue became too much or too cliche but she is seriously funny! I can imagine a person just like her and I also appreciate the individual relationships with the guys. They are all unique and their relationships are continuing to progress. There is more god drama than ever before and I’m so glad book 4 was just released so I don’t have to wait to read it!
Oh how I miss Willa.
She is probably hands down the funniest heroine I have ever read about.
I didn’t want this book to end. I can’t wait for the next book to be out. I have two more books in the series and I can’t wait while at the same time waiting for them to come out. I seriously love this series.
The world building is amazing still. Got to see another side of Topia. Got to see what Willa is like without the Abcurses since the first book. She’s clumsier. A whole lot clumsier.
I didn’t highlight many quotes in this book due to the fact of my just gobbing it up without highlighting.
What am I going to do now that I’m finished with this one?
Here’s to waiting on another book
By now I’ve gone through all seven stages of grief. Shock, denial, anger… And have finally settled on acceptance because my love for this series IS REAL Y’ALL. Despite it’s obvious flaws, I am completely obsessed with Willa and her five Abcurses. I almost feel like this is all some elaborate literary cult??? Pretty sure something was laced in the words to hypnotize me, but WHATEVER. I’M HERE AND I NEED THE NEXT BOOK. Is it July yet?
Unlike the last installment that fell a tad flat for me, this one completely hooked me!! I loved watching Willa trying to navigate her new powers and figure out the mystery of what was going on. When the Abcurses are forced back to Topia and leave Willa with Cyrus, I was like DUDES. SUCH A BAD MOVE. But it was fun seeing Willa get a little more independence and navigate things on her own. And when they finally meet up again, things get WAAAAY more steamy than they have in the previous books and I definitely didn’t hate it…
will say that actually reading this one wasn’t quite as fun as listening to the audiobook. The third audiobook isn’t included in Audible’s romance package, so I could either spend $8 on the audio or $3 on the ebook. Obviously I went the cheapo route, but it came at a price. I really missed Vanessa Moyen’s stellar narration and the life she brings to the series, but it was still a super fun book!!
FINAL WORD
LOVED IT. Just as fun and hilarious as the first book. NEED MORE. TELL ME IT’S JULY ALREADY!
Seduction a five-star read that will seduce you into reading. Jaymin Eve and Jane Washington have pulled this series into one that you cannot miss. This is the third book in the Curse of the Gods series and I loved the first two books, but this one blew my socks off!! You do need to read them in order as otherwise you would get very, very lost. Willa Knight has come into her own now, she’s finding her feet, but she doesn’t know what those feet are? Dweller, cursed being? Sol? accident? Something is up and with the Abcurse brothers facing punishment for never following the rules, it falls to Willa to break all the rules instead of just everything around her for a change.
Well done both on a great and well written story. I can’t wait for number four, to have his turn in the spot light will Strength prove to be the strongest brother.
Willa is hilarious and some of her thoughts would be similar to my awkward humor.
