The blurb gives a pretty good idea about the story so I’ll focus on the Things I love
1) Her bestie-Caroline! I’ll love a friend like her His friend-Luke’s cockiness was pretty amusing
2) Aubrey is a strong women, Her being an Architect, I really respected her. She & Chuck were totally unexpected for eachother, but so very perfect!
It was so good to see her come out of her shell & take her own decisions
3) Chuck’s family! Omg, Total 13 Siblings?! (The house must’ve been lively in childhood) we got glimpses of them & his parents, they’re lovable
3)Her fiance was a pain in the ass in the 1st few chapters, I’m happy he got face punched by chuck XD
(If I was in story I’ve loved to fight with Vanessa who constantly nagged them)
4) their chemistry! Was hot
5)His Confession & proposal was so swoony!
6) Towards the end when she meets the wright family it was my one of the fav part of the story
7) the bonus epilogue Unexpected is the best word for it 😀

This could have been a riveting book, full of emotion, angst and drama. Instead it was overloaded with detailed bedroom gymnastics that simply added nothing to the story, except to fill pages. Steam only is good if it adds to the story.
The story idea was good. Aubrey has to live up to everyone’s expectations. Her mother totally controls her, her fiancé always calls the shots., and their snobbish social circle doesn’t know the difference between love and money. Aubrey goes along with this as normal UNTIL she finds her fiancé in bed with her maid of honor the night before the wedding. They were so involved in their passion that they didn’t even realize she was standing at the door … seeing everything.
She bails, she’s a no-show at her own wedding. The groom is left waiting at the alter while she is half way across the country on the slopes of Aspen. She meets someone special and this is where the story really begins. It had so much potential. However, the explicit page after page of sex got in the way. I was able to read this book in a few hours because I skipped all those unneeded portions that added nothing to the plot.
OBSERVATIONS:
Loved how the Ex finds Aubrey … loved how she learned to stand up for herself. Loved how she put the ex and that maid-of-honor in their proper place. Would have liked to see those two become social outcasts when coming face to face with Aunt Karma.
Chuck Wright was every bit as ‘high society’ as Aubrey’s New York elitists. He just didn’t show it. Loved how he stood up for Aubrey. (Would have been great to see Chuck and his parents mysteriously show up at one of those New York gatherings. I can imagine the shocked reactions when those snobs recognized just who they were.)
This is a lovely book, finding her self in Aspen after a shitty time is the best that could have happened to her. The chalet she rented is not completely up and running and Chuck hels her out. What happens after is a great story of 2 souls finding one another. Enjoy this ride. I loved it.
I was given this book for an honest review! Loved it! Second chance at love with the man to make her heart sing. Aubrey walked in to her soon to be husband room to find him with his head between her maid of honour ‘s thighs. She decide to go on the honeymoon to get away from everyone she meets Chuck & ends up filling in love!
I loved this story. Chuck and Aubrey are great characters. I look forward to the.rest of the Wright series.

What can happen when you kick your cheating intended the night before the wedding and go on the honeymoon by yourself
You just have to love a maintenance man who can not only fix the hot tub but also fix your body and soul!!!
Renovating the Heart is the story of Aubrey and Chuck. These two meet when she is renting his ski chalet and things start to break. So a phone call later and the handsome maintenance man is knocking on the door ready to fix more than the heat and hot tub. But things don’t go quite so smoothly for these two as Aubrey’s ex’s show up also – fiancee and best friend that is. Don’t even get me started on what a pair these two are after Aubrey caught them together the night before the wedding. But Aubrey and Chuck won’t let the ex’s stop them from having a great time together during her vacation.
But what happens when it is time for Aubrey to head back home and to her “real” life? Will they ever see each other again or will it only be a vacation fling that helped to heal a bit of Aubrey’s heart?
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
We meet Aubrey who literally comes face-to-face with her groom’s infidelity the night before they wedding. She leaves and goes on the honeymoon by herself, but there are problems at the cabin that is rented, and Chuck arrives to fix everything. Aubrey and Chuck have instant chemistry, he’s completely different to Aubrey’s almost husband. The book is well written, and the characters are interesting and fun at times.

Aubrey catches her groom and maid of honor together the night before their wedding. Even though she and Greg are perfect for each other on paper, she decides not to tolerate his shenanigans, and calls off the wedding and heads for her honeymoon cottage in near Aspen. She meets (or rather slams into) Chuck on the slopes, and the sparks begin to fly. He’s not “perfect” like Greg – he’s blue collar, and drinks and curses and works an unconventional job. They have a terrific time together, but before long, it’s time for her to go back home to her real life in New York. They’re both absolutely miserable without each other. Will Aubrey and Chuck ever get back together? Who will cave first and fly to find the other? I love this story – the characters work so perfectly together, making a real connection, and the steamy scenes didn’t help, either. I’m so glad that I was able to read this first book in the new series – so looking forward to the rest.
My new favorite name to call someone who’s being an idiot: fart weasel.

This is such an amazingly well written and thought out book. I loved it. The characters are on point, the scenes are steamy and emotional. I can’t wait to read the entire series.

Poor Aubrey catches her fiancé in bed with the maid of honor the night before the wedding. Best thing to ever happen to her. Chuck hails from a wealthy family but is trying to prove himself to his father by restoring and renting out properties in Aspen. He’s a man on a mission. They meet and BOOM! I fell in love with them from the beginning. The chemistry between them is hot. I enjoyed watching them fall in love even though they didn’t even realize that’s what was happening. The Wright family is incredible and I can’t wait to meet the rest of them as books come out in this series. Read this book, you won’t regret it.
Aubrey always followed her mothers instructions all the way down to the man she should marry. Too bad he was a conniving cheat! After catching him in a compromising position, she packs and head out to their honeymoon getaway all by herself. There she meets Chuck and the sparks fly between them. He is nothing like Greg and everything she ever wanted in a man. Are Chuck and Aubrey headed towards wedded bliss or will her mother put a stop to it.
