Single mom and veterinary student Talon Reese thinks she is volunteering her time, not her heart or her body, for Marietta Montana’s second annual Bachelor Auction. But when Bachelor number 3 hits the stage, igniting every hormone she forgot she possessed, she’s questioning her vow of no more men. With a man this drool worthy, some fun doesn’t have to be off the table, even if she’s not looking … looking for a relationship.
Special Forces sniper Colt Ewing blew out of Marietta on graduation day and never looked back, until his former football coach asked for his help. Standing on the auction block is a tough mission for Colt until he meets his winning bidder, a woman who’s as warm and friendly as he is aloof and silent. All night her mouth has been creating sexual fantasies, so when she opens it to boldly proposition him, there’s no way in hell he’s going to say no.
But as Colt and Talon burn up the sheets, he begins to forget why he hates this town, and Talon wonders if she can learn to trust enough to fall in love. But will that be enough to convince him to stay?

Oh My! What a heart stopper! This is definitely one of the hottest books I have ever read, and I’ve read so many I’ve lost count. The chemistry between Talon and Colt is off the charts, and lets not forget Parker! How sweet is he? OMG! Talon is definitely a lemons to lemonade kind of girl, and Colt is just the sour lemon, until sparks fly and painful memories disappear. From foster homes to adoptive mom, and battered boy to strong soldier, these two will not only capture your heart, they’ll sweep it away on a journey you won’t soon forget. The heat these two bring to the story could melt all the snow in the Arctic, and young Parker will melt anyone’s cold, hardened heart. An absolute gem to read. I am definitely looking forward to reading more from this very talented author.
I was gifted a copy of this book and am voluntarily giving my honest opinion.
I loved this book!
Great read
Great read
I was disappointed with the beginning of “Seducing the Bachelor” (nook) when I found a discrepancy. Once I got past that, I was totally involved and read with barely a break. The story is sexy, romantic, full of angst and, happy sighs. Ms. Jayne does a marvelous job of portraying her characters with their flaws and good points.
The discrepancy is in Chapter One. On the first page Colt is thinking “. . . The fact he’d agreed to be bachelor number three was stupider.” Shortly after, Rowan brings straws for the bachelors to select their spot in the auction. Colt draws third.
I loved the book.
Loved it!
It was sweet, but just kind of ended…I wanted more.
To simplistic. Dnf
unfinished ending. liked the characters

Another delightful read in The Wilder Brothers Series by Sinclair Jade! Yeah, I know that sounds a little strange since Seducing the Bachelor is the actual first release in The Wilder Brothers, but I kinda put the cart before the horse by reading the fourth book of the series first and enjoyed it so much, I raced back to purchase the other three. Although each of the books features a separate couple finding love and can be read as a standalone, there is an underlying interconnected family conflict running throughout the series and for that reason, I highly recommend reading them sequentially to avoid spoilers. Sinclair Jayne is a relatively new author for me, having only read two of her books so far, but I must say I’m truly impressed and look forward to reading many more in the future. But let’s talk details.
Seducing the Bachelor is a captivating, fast-paced, easy to follow, full-length, standalone, contemporary military/bachelor auction romance brimming with delicious drama, heartbreaking angst, undeniable attraction, steamy passion, and sweet, soul-healing love. Sigh… So dreamy! The entire story takes place in the Marietta, Montana world which serves as the backdrop for several series and multi-author collections by Tule Publishing. Marietta is your typical western small town where secrets are hard to keep, gossip runs rampant, the rodeo is their favorite sport, and everyone knows everyone, including the details of their personal life and all their dirty laundry. Sounds like my kind of town! lol… The narrative was beautifully written in the third person with clearly discernible his and her perspectives. The dialogue was smart, snappy, raw, emotional, natural, and flowed effortlessly. I loved the premise, world, and conflict Jayne created for this story, and I especially enjoyed the small town environment and sense of community, but it’s the cast of endearing, relatable characters that totally stole the show. I was immediately smitten with handsome, stoic Special Forces sniper Colt Ewing, and the beautiful, selfless single mom and aspiring veterinarian Talon Reese completely captured my heart. When these two lonely souls meet, it was nothing short of electric, and I loved every single minute of their story. Colt was all alpha male, strong, broody, confident, demanding, determined, yet respectful and polite, and soooo swoony, and Talon was such a sweet, kindhearted, giving, optimistic soul. Both of their backstories just broke my heart. Colt had no real family, had no clue as to the identity of his mother or father, couldn’t remember much of his childhood, and was raised by an abusive man he thought was his uncle. Sweet Talon lived her entire childhood being bounced from one foster home to another, never knowing her parents. Her only family was not by blood, but by choice, and became a single mother when her best friend passed away and left an orphaned son named Parker whom she adopted. And oh my gosh, 7-year-old Parker was just precious! Colt and Talon were total opposites in personality but somehow complemented each other perfectly. The attraction was immediate between Colt and Talon, but both were determined to ignore it, and for very valid reasons, bringing a real slow burn aspect to the story, which I really liked and enjoyed. It’s always so much fun watching the two protagonists dance around each other, trying to avoid the inevitable, especially when it’s believable, and Sinclair Jayne always makes the push/pull of a blossoming romance feel realistic. Colt was an almost thirty-year-old Special Forces Sniper on a forced thirty-day leave with only six months left to serve on his current hitch but planned to reenlist as soon as he returned to base. He’d always been a loner, even before joining the Army. He had no real family, or so he thought, and left home at 18 and never looked back. He liked his life the way it was, with no roots, no family, and no attachments – until he met beautiful Talon Reese at a charity bachelor auction where he was railroaded into being one of the prizes to be auctioned, or rather a date with him. And poor Talon, my heart just broke for this young woman. She was only volunteering at the charity auction event and had no money to bid, no matter how hot bachelor number three was, and she certainly had no room in her life for a boyfriend and no time for a relationship. Her every waking moment was devoted to going to school, training to become a vet, working two jobs, and raising her 7-year-old adopted son Parker. But the heart wants what the heart wants and after her friends pooled their money to buy a date for her, Talon soon realized she wanted the hot, handsome, steadfast, but emotionally wounded Colt Ewing. And it wasn’t one-sided, Colt wanted Talon, too. It just took him a lot longer to realize it. Yeah, there were a few times I wanted to give Colt a good, swift kick in the behind, but he eventually rose to the challenge and stepped up to claim his happy ending with Talon and Parker.
No spoilers from me but I will say this… A handsome, broody Special Forces Sniper who had no plans to ever fall in love-check! A beautiful, sweet single mom who had no time for love-check! A group of friends and a charity bachelor auction that changes the lives of two lonely souls-check! An adorable 7-year-old who changes a man’s plans for the future-check! Drama, angst, heartbreak, humor, a wonderful cast of characters, and a second heartwarming love story that will tug at your heartstrings-you bet! That and a whole lot more!
So, did like this book? Yes, very much! Would I recommend it? You bet, and I am but only for adult readers since it does contain a little profanity, several steamy, dreamy sex scenes, and an extremely sexy military man But if I enjoyed this book so much, then why only four stars? Overall, the book was well crafted, but there was an unusually high number of typos along with minor little boo-boos that would have been so simple to correct and should have been caught in the final editing/proofreading process. I’m not trying to be critical, just honest. Enough said. Will I read this author again? Absolutely! As I stated earlier, I enjoyed the fourth book of the series so much that I raced back to purchase the first three books. And finally, was I entertained? Completely! I snickered, snorted, sniffled, sobbed, and fumed with anger through the entire story but by the end, I was happy, satisfied, well entertained, and grinning like a loon. Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!
Short review. Different from other books I have read with a similar plot, kept me engaged and wishing the book was a little longer.
