When journalist Sandy Ebelson decides she needs a breakout story to advance her career, where does she set her ambitious eye? Why, on the Castle, an infamous BDSM resort that has plagued her small town for years. Sneaking inside is only as difficult as buying a ticket and filling out a fake application, but when Sandy finds herself matched to ex-military masters Eric and Reeve, carrying out her … her investigation grows quickly more complicated.
Especially when it comes to Master Reeve, whose rough touch and dark authority make her body respond in ways she’s not at all prepared to understand. Sandy will do anything to get her story, and that includes pretending to be his submissive. What she doesn’t yet know is how much of what she’s doing is really ‘let’s pretend’ and how much is the real her, giving her heart to a man she has every intention of betraying.
Publisher’s Note: Like all the other stories in the Masters of the Castle series, this contemporary romance can be enjoyed as a standalone. It contains elements of power exchange, explicit language, and MFM ménage scenes.

Sandy is a journalist who wants to get an expose of the illegal activities she is sure are happening in the Castle. Sandy’s editor/boss is friends with the Master of Masters in the Castle and warns him of Sandy’s drive to get her breakout story there. Erik and Reeve are assigned as Sandy’s Doms and to watch her closely to see if she causes trouble or breaks ant of the rules. Sandy is a total newbie with an attitude that gets her punished and she begins to see what being a submissive truely entails, but she hasn’t uncovered their nefarious activities at the Castle yet, so she endures. I always enjoy reading about the Castle and this was no exception. Sandy left a lot to be desired but that could be me and my feelings. Sandy struggled too much with her savior complex and she never stopped trying to see trouble when there was none to see. Stubborn must be her middle name. I was satisfied with the final conclusion at the end, something that always leaves me happy I read and enjoyed a book! You can’t lose with a Masters of the Castle story!!!
Shame on me! How could i have waited so long before reading Seducing Sandy?
Did i really need the reminder that the Dad Bod Doms gave me?
Because i LOVE the Masters of the Castle!
Even though i didn’t really like Sandy at first…..
That high horse she sat on when i met her didn’t look good to me,and i KNOW it didn’t look good to the Master of Masters,Marshall!
In fact the only reason she was allowed into the Castle was because he knew her boss, and he told him she wasn’t that bad….
So,she gets not one,but two Masters, who need to keep a close eye on her.
Those two i did love from the start!
Ok,i loved Reeve a bit more than Eric,but that’s because i’m not a little.
And those thoughts….YUM!
Oh,yes…i love Reeve a lot more!
Sandy was determined to find out what kind of illegal actions took place at the Castle.
And even though she’s assigned two Masters, she intends to get the evidence to prove it.
If only they weren’t distracting her like that…..
Especially Reeve,every time he just looks at her,touches her,commands her,disciplines her….
Oh,stop it! Focus!
When she dóes see something she just knows is immoral, she knows she needs to find the files concerning the persons involved.
Having grown a conscience doesn’t help, but finding out her laptop is gone, she knows her time’s up.
What will happen when she goes through the office?
Will she find what she’s looking for?
Is it what she thought it was?
And when she gets caught, what happens then?
More importantly, how does it make her feel?
About her actions? About the way it affects others?
Especially a certain Dom…..
Even though i didn’t like Sandy at first, she grew on me.
She stood her ground, fought for what she thought was right.
Even though she was wrong…
And when confronted with her mistakes, she made ammends.
The submissive hiding deep within her recognised the Dom it needed.
And even though she did them wrong,Reeve was man enough to admit he’d made mistakes too.
He admitted she’d crawled under his skin, into his heart.
But to start a relationship built on lies,thát wasn’t a good idea….
It was só good to visit the Castle again!
I know i’ll be back……
It’s rare that a book makes me laugh out loud and ugly cry (in different places, of course) but this one did just that. I highly recommend it.
This is my first full length novel by this author though I’ve read some of her work in the Black Light Roulette collections. It won’t be the last book of hers that I will read either. This book won’t be for everyone – in fact there was a time I would have been uncomfortable reading it. However my reading preferences are now much darker, edgier and I like having my boundaries pushed. Certain scenes in this book push my personal boundaries the author also did an excellent and yet unobtrusive job of showing how all activities were SSC.
The book is written third person, mainly from Sandy’s perspective but with enough of Reeve’s thoughts to appreciate and understand him as a character too. I found Eric’s presence a little distracting. He often (and I’m assuming deliberately) felt like a spare part, though I did like the cabin scene and permission.
Sandy was amazing, I loved her strength of character and how she retained this throughout the story. She owned her submission and ultimately was in control of everything that happened to her. There were so many times when Sandy’s thoughts of the situation echoed my own, it even giggled a few times at the similarity of our outlooks. At other times her blinkered attitude was almost annoying – but it was pertinent to the plot rather than poor characterisation.
Reeve was so conflicted over his feelings for her and how he should treat Sandy. At times this leads to quite disappointing, and almost “unDommly” behaviour from him, however Sandy definitely tried his patience and pushed his buttons. Even after his internal debate over chasing after a sub he didn’t seem to fully act on his instincts. I would have liked the author to have shown us a little more of his internal conflict and the motivation behind some of his actions – did he think Sandy wouldn’t accept him, did he want to give her the chance to live her dreams or was he just being pig-headed?
This isn’t a ‘vanilla BDSM’ book, it is designed to make you feel uncomfortable. Whilst it technically isn’t a non-con or dubious consent book it does, at times, have darker tones. If punishment, humiliation and explicit sexual scenes are not your thing then it probably isn’t for you. If you do decide to read it please don’t leave a negative review having been warned of it’s content.
I have read many books by Maren in the Masters of the Castle Series and like all the other books I was not disappointed. I think this series is one of my very most favorite to read when I need to read something on the lighter side or when I just want to fantasize a little.
Seducing Sandy was one of those reads that you knew was going to be filled with misunderstandings and mistruths, but you needed to see how it played out! A story where you knew it was all going to implode, but the stops along the way made you care about the players. Where it was all going to fall apart, but the pieces being played let you see how the seeds for saving it all were being planted. Add in the super-hotness between Reeve and Sandy, and it had me glued to the pages
Seducing Sandy is hot, but in the end I just could not get into it because Sandy was a disrespectful little brat who didn’t deserve any of the good stuff she got from Reeve and Eric.
Sandy is a journalist determined to write an exposé on The Castle, a place she imagines traffics in underage girls, women, drugs and any other vice one could think of. Despite her editor’s repeated warnings, she manages to get herself into the place and paired up with two thoroughly hot Doms who are only too aware that she’s a journalist. Reeve is a veteran who’s had negative experience already with an embedded reporter while he was deployed, and he’d rather not babysit another reporter thank you very much. Eric is Reeve’s best friend, a dom, too, but of a gentler type than Reeve. But, when Master Marshall assigns the two of them to initiate Sandy, they can’t exactly tell him no. Reeve determines he’s going to break Sandy for daring to lie to them about her true reasons for being at the Castle and for pretending to be a submissive. Let the *good* times roll!
I will be the first to admit that Seducing Sandy is seriously steamy, it’s damn near erotica levels, but the emotional connection just did not feel real to me. Most likely because Sandy was such a thoroughly annoying character. Reeve (and Eric) deserved far better than a judgemental, immature little brat like Sandy. And that is why I cannot honestly give Seducing Sandy more than 2 stars. If Sandy had been equal to Reeve and Eric, I probably could have given this 4 stars, because it’s well written, it’s sexy and the BDSM details are thoroughly entertaining. Unfortunately, her character is so ridiculous that it brought the level of the entire story down 2 freakin stars.
Reeve, Eric and Sandy! Wow…hot is not the word….moments of laughter too as vanilla Sandy tries infiltrate this world of BDSM. Loved that there was love at the end. The discipline scenes were hot as well! Good read!
