We’ve all been there, some more than others, you know what I’m talking about, where you have the hots for the new business teacher. I was one hundred percent that guy. I shamelessly flirted with her my senior year, only earning her irritation more and more. On graduation, I stood up to her husband after he got violent, and I’ll never forget the look in her eyes when she told me it wasn’t my place. wasn’t my place.
Fast forward to my senior year of college and what do you know, the new adjunct professor is the one and only Mrs. Robinson, she’s eight years older than me and smoking hot. Did I mention divorced?
She looks at me like I’m trouble, and I’m only happy to deliver on that promise. I’m going to show her how a real man treats a woman and use every weapon in my Pleasure Pony arsenal to do it.
Go big or go home.

Not your typical student-teacher romance, easy read!
So this is my first Wingmen book, but it sure did whet my appetite. I loved the interchanges between Leo and Kora. Leo has, at least, lusted after Kora since HS, but when they meet in college (he as a senior and she as an adjunct professor) – their sparks really fly. Nothing untoward when they first met, but boy – things are a whole lot different now!
This book does deal with spousal abuse and karma is a b****!
I love Leo’s witticisms:
“If you’re not thinking of me naked at least three times a day – I’m doing life wrong.”
“You should lose your entire soul and at the very least, a sliver of your heart every single time you kiss.” Swoon!
I’m definitely looking forward to the next one in this series. I think I’m going to enjoy these guys!
I voluntarily requested and read an advance reader copy.
Wingman Inc. Number two is just as amazing as the number one. I always worry when going into the second book of the series figuring I’m not going to be able to switch characters that easily because I get attached, but as always Rachel Van Dyken never lets us down. You Definitely do not want to miss another Wild Ride with the ” ponies “. And as always you definitely get all of the feels. I 100% recommend this read. Don’t forget to give yourself time to read this because once you start you will not want to stop until the last page!
Leo has all the swagger without the inflated ego. Sure, he has confidence and knows he is good looking but he doesn’t let that go to his head. When his teacher crush from high school ends up as his adjunct professor as a senior in college, well, Leo’s world is actually made. Realizing that Kora, aka Mrs. Robinson, actually needs the services of Wingmen Inc, he sets aside his feeling to do his job and help Kora through a rough situation with her soon to be ex-husband. Kora’s confidence has faded following an abusive relationship. Experiencing how the Wingmen help her find that confidence again was a great pleasure. But the real heart of this story is how Leo and Kora connect, finally acknowledging their true feelings. And as Kora has to face her demons, Leo reveals his own which enhances their relationship as they both have overcome troublesome relationships. Something that I loved is how Leo uses who he is along with his father’s connections to be the white knight for Kora. I was so surprised by this and love how this unfolded. This journey put a smile on my face and hope in my heart. I read this book using Kindle Unlimited.
Welcome back to the world of Wingmen Inc! This quick, fun and light-hearted read is reminiscent of Rachel Van Dyken’s older books. I loved the original Wingmen series, and this has the same playful feel, with a focus on the dynamics of that business. Featuring some top notch banter, a hero with charm for days, and a heroine who can’t help but fall for her student, and this short novel flies by.
The story follows Leo, a 22-year-old college senior who has been working for Wingmen Inc for a few years now. He helps students (and a few professors) get their confidence back after a bad breakup or when life just has them down. The Wingmen are all revered on campus for their skills, even though women often get confused about the true nature of their business. When a blast from Leo’s past enters his life in the form of Kora, the teacher he crushed on hard in high school, his player ways are put on pause. Kora has gone through a lot in the years since they met, and resisting Leo at 22 is a lot more difficult to do than it was at 18.
If you’re looking for a light and quick read that still has some seriously solid writing (as if Van Dyken can write anything that’s less than awesome), then this is well worth your time. It’s got a completely different vibe than some of her more recent works (if you haven’t read Stealing Her yet, stop what you’re doing and read it NOW), but I loved the playfulness of the story. Yes, it’s shorter and more superficial than I would like, and yes, parts of the plot are kinda ridiculous, but it’s great escapism. Leo is a shameless flirt who will win you over with ease, and I’m looking forward to seeing what’s next from this series. I received an ARC via Social Butterfly PR and am voluntarily leaving a review of this fun and sexy book.
The first thing I liked about Seducing Mrs Robinson is that it wasn’t about an older lady who was instantly in with wanting a younger man. She fought it, it wasn’t something she was all in for from the beginning, and she also isn’t that much older so I feel it’s relatable.
Second as the story unfolds you start to fall for Leo with Kora. You learn about her past, you are with her in the now and it’s all (pretty much) real life. Leo works for it. He also has a story. Not everyone is who they seem. I love them both. They have an attraction that you want them to explore.
Third I find all the characters almost as interesting as the Eagle Elite crew (I said almost, Eagle Elite will always be my #1). I love books that are funny and a little dreamy but also touch on real life. Can’t wait for more! I always love a Rachel Van Dyken book.
This book was hilarious and a light hearted read. Even though this is true Rachel does have an amazing way of having a serious undertone about topics that can be very touchy with some.
Leo is you typical rich jock. He however is also funny and can be very sweet.
Kora is a teacher of Leo’s in high school and then again in college. She has been through a tough patch in her life and is trying to move on from this. She can’t stand Leo but will this all change now that they are older?
I loved this book and the Wingmen Inc guys. I can’t wait to read the rest of this standalone series.
GAHHH! I don’t even know where to start with this review! I floved this read! Leo is amazing and awesome. I love him and Kora.
Mrs. Robinson was Leo’s highschool crush. Too bad she was his hot teacher. She is only 8 years older than him, so it’s not a huge age gap. But she was married then.
Well, she’s not married anymore, or won’t be soon. What Chad put her through is just so horribly wrong. She does need help to find herself again and to regain her confidence.
What better way to do that than with the help of the Pleasure Ponies?!
Too bad she’s now Leo’s Professor and client.
I absolutely love how this story worked out. I love what Leo did to Chad at the end. It was fantastic.
I can’t wait to read Slater and Finn’s book!
This was the best couple of hours I’ve spent reading in a while!
Honestly, I don’t know who I loved more, Leo or Kora. They were both exceptional characters. I fell in love with them and their story instantly! Their story had spark and feels and it was just happy!
I love age gap stories and when the woman is older…fantastic! This was a quick, easy read with an intriguing couple and fab friends. I haven’t read the Wingman series so this was my first entree into this world of sensitive men with certain skills and looks that help the unfortunate or less fortunate. The leader of college group known as the Pleasure Ponies is the beautiful face of the group, Leo. He’s been in love with his teacher, Mrs. Robinson, since high school and now she’s single and a professor at his college. I must say I loved his commitment to his feelings and didn’t give up especially when she needed him the most. I liked Kora from the beginning as she fended off the attentions of her eighteen year old student and then as the professor with a horrible ex. She kept looking for ways to avoid the sexy young Co Ed but it was inevitable when she sought out the Wingman in hopes of deterring Leo’s affections and maybe getting some help. What happens is the beginning of a beautiful romance along with the help she was looking for. It wasn’t long before the sparks were flying and Kora couldn’t deny the feelings she developed for the young but very mature Leo. I loved the camaraderie between Leo, Finn and Slater and the hilarious banter between the group. For me, some of the actions and language didn’t seems like those of god-like college hunks and was off putting at times and the events at the end were over the top but in the words of Leo…go big or go home. And what a big boy Leo turned out to be. Dreamy and so sexy! The epilogue was terrific and every girl’s dream, even the big girls. So enjoyable with a few laughs, great one liners, and something to look forward to with Finn and Slater’s stories. Can’t wait for more of the Pleasure Ponies! I do have a pet peeve. Make the cover models match the character descriptions. Leo has blond hair! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.
I absoutely LOVE what Rachel Van Dyken did with her take on the student/teacher trope. I devoured this book it in one sitting and absolutely could not put it down. Rachel’s writing to me is just perfection. Love, love, love how she can sweetly entwine humor, passion and steam into one perfect little love story. This was short, and sweet and exactly what I needed, and it was so fun to dive back into the Wingmen Inc. world.
Leo Blackwood is a 22-yr old college student working for Wingmen Inc. He first met Kora when she was his high school teacher in the 12th grade. She was married at the time and completely off limits. Leo is one of my all time favorite of Rachel Van Dyken’s heroes. Talk about cocky, sexy and irrogant all rolled into one perfect speciman of a man!
Kora Robinson is coming out of the an abusive marriage. She has some work to do on herself and the last thing she needs is a relationship but leave it to cocky Leo to break her walls down. The way Rachel writes touching on self-love and redemption was truly beautiful.
Can’t wait for Slater and Finn’s books next! 5 STARS!
Note: I received an ARC from the author via Social Butterfly PR in exchange of an honest review.
I have to admit that I’m not a massive fan of student/teacher romances but I was really pleasantly surprised by this book and it’s so much more than its title implies. It’s not as clear cut as you imagine this trope to be and boy, I dare anyone not to love Leo. He is so strong and loving and while he has a cheeky side to him, he comes across very mature, which made the relationship side of things work for me. I liked Kora and her journey is heartfelt but for me I just wanted a bit more “Leo and Kora” time and growth albeit I definitely felt the chemistry between these two. This is a quick, snappy read but it still packs a punch. I look forward to the next one!
4.5 enjoyable stars
I have wanted more Pleasure Ponies since I first read Co-Ed… and Rachel Van Dyken has made this holiday season so much hotter by giving us the remaining 3 books all within 2 weeks!
Seducing Mrs. Robinson is a steamy, fun, professor-student romance. Cocky Leo has been crushing on Mrs. Robinson ever since high school. When she walks into his university classroom his senior year, he could care less about their eight-year age difference — all he can see is the stunning woman, and all he can think about is how they can be together.
This book doesn’t just explore the forbidden teacher-student trope. It also hits on the weightier topic of relationship abuse. I appreciated the different angle that Rachel took on this and also the sensitivity in which it was handled.
While Seducing Mrs. Robinson tackles some serious issues, it truly is a fun story. The book is filled with Rachel’s trademark banter and fabulous text messages that will leave you with a huge grin on your face. And the bromance between all the guys… just phenomenal!
Read this book (and the rest of the series) — I promise you, they will warm up your cold winter nights!
Each of the books in the Bro Code series stands alone. You can easily pick up and read any of these and have no problem following along.
I was intrigued from the first chapter and knew there had to be so much more to this story than meets the eye! I could not get enough of these two. Leo and Kora made my heart race! Rachel, this story is full of a truth and intensity that had me rooting for them from the start! You need to read this book for apples, leather shirts, and the wedding alone. With an ex like Kora’s, you never need an enemy. The unique spin Rachel put on this story is so important because it shows that it’s not just a situation females find themselves in. I’m glad she isn’t afraid to tackle real life issues in her books. Mrs. Robinson is steamy, heart pounding and full of promise for a better tomorrow. Can I sign up for extra credit? Because I want to be Mrs Blackwood.
Tracey, Life Reads With Friends
Rachel Van Dyken is one of my one click authors without any doubt because the stories she creates are simply amazing. This one is no less than amazing! I usually am not a fan of age gap romances, especially when the woman is older, personal preference for me but I was pleasantly surprised by this story!! The push and pull between Leo “aka one of the Pleasure Ponies” Blackwood and Mrs. Robinson is one for the books. The story takes you from when he had a crush on her in high school all the way to college where they end up meeting again with her as a new professor. I really enjoyed this book and even if you do not like age gap romances, I would highly recommend taking a chance on this one!
I have to say I am usually not a fan of student/teacher/college romances and wasn’t sure what I’d find when I opened up this book. I’m SO glad I decided to read this!! I’ve never read Co Ed so I thought maybe I’d be at a disadvantage…nope. I could follow along just fine but trust me, I will be going back to read Co Ed!
I fell in love with The Wingman and most of all, Leo. There was so much more depth to this story than I expected. The fun, sexiness and even the deeper moments had me intrigued from start to finish. Kora and Leo were an interesting couple and I never expected what happens at the end! Truly enjoyable and I cannot wait for the next book!
Overall Grade:
I think there is always a challenge in acting reductive towards books based on a blurb or a cover. I’ll be honest. I went into Co-Ed, Rachel Van Dyken’s book that started the Pleasure Ponies phenomenon, looking for a good chuckle, some steamy love scenes, and a bit of sweet. What happened, though, is something all together. Yes, the Pleasure Ponies are the BMOC Adonis purveyors of pleasure. Yet, once you start reading Co-Ed and her newest Wingmen Inc. book, Seducing Mrs. Robinson, you recognize quickly that these books are sweet fun at their surface, but belying its surface are lessons about self-love.
This truth is especially true and necessary in Van Dyken’s Seducing Mrs. Robinson. It would be easy for me to say that this story follows the trope of older woman/younger man. However, this is but one simplistic representation of this book. The heroine of this book, Kora Robinson, handles a more serious situation: domestic abuse. This abuse affects her emotionally, mentally, and physically in ways that undermine her self-confidence. Her characterization drives the depth of the story. Yes, all of this is underscored by a burgeoning romance with her former and present student, Leo Blackwood. It would be easy to be distracted by their palpable chemistry. However, to do so would be to miss the power of Kora and Leo’s story.
The purpose of the Wingmen Inc. aka “the Pleasure Ponies” is helping women heal. Most of these women have endured some type of break-up or inciting experience that has caused them to doubt themselves. It would be silly to believe that these men are wholly responsible for their change. It would also reduce the work that each of the women must do in order to overcome their trauma. Yet, what these men do is speak truth into the souls of these women, truths about self-love. This truth becomes imperative with Kora Robinson who uses the services of Wingmen at the insistence of Leo. Our hero has adored Kora from afar, as far back as high school when she was the only teacher to challenge him. She recognizes his lackadaisical attitude, and she expects more from him. Unfortunately, at the time, he is her student, and she is married. However, Leo sees her clearly and pines over her from afar.
Four years later, Kora shows up as his professor for his senior seminar. This time, though, she’s separated and trying to obtain a divorce from her abusive husband. Just as he did four years prior, Leo recognizes the changes in her, and he’s insistent towards helping her move past her hurt. For much of this story, Leo and Kora dance around their attraction for each other. It’s apparent it’s there, but Kora works hard to ward off his advances. Plus in utilizing the services of the Wingmen Inc, Leo, Sawyer, and Finn’s employer, Leo and Kora’s relationship cannot progress without breaking their contract. These elements conspire to build the attraction between these two. Van Dyken is brilliant in these moments, as their building sexual chemistry is the driving force through this story. Their chemistry is palpable that you don’t want to put the book down as you might miss the moment when they embrace their reality and finally consummate it.
Once these two embrace their interest each other, complications arise, potentially derailing Kora and Leo becoming a couple. I’ll be honest. I thought the story lost some of its magic after this. Leo becomes a bit of a life-savior for Kora, and they move quickly into a happy ending. Don’t get me wrong. It’s satisfying for them to find their HEA, but it felt a little underwhelming to me. I’m thankful that Kora finds her inner strength again, and I love that Leo, along with Finn and Sawyer, are able to help her realize it for herself. Yet, Kora’s happy ending feels wrapped up a bit too much in Leo and less in her own strength. Again, this may sound particular but it was my feeling at Seducing Mrs. Robinson’s end.
Rachel Van Dyken’s Seducing Mrs. Robinson is full of laughs and romance. If you’re looking for something light, there is some of that here. On the other hand, don’t reduce it. Van Dyken is doing something important here hidden in the seemingly light faire of the Pleasure Ponies. Intertwined within the stories of these men of Wingmen Inc. are stories about loving yourself and overcoming domestic abuse. These are powerful messages that we all need to hear as we seek to find ourselves in the books that we read. For me, Leo Blackwood is the star of this book. Like Kora, he too is touched by domestic abuse, and it adds another layer to the discussion on this heady topic. Don’t be confused with Van Dyken’s intention for this series of standalones. At their surface, they are meant to make us laugh and entertain us, but at their core, they are here to challenge our thinking as we fall into their stories of romance. Rachel Van Dyken’s Seducing Mrs. Robinson will put you to task and leave you with a smile on your face in the end.
Well, this new older woman student / professor romance is amazing, Leo and Kora story is brilliant, this is an amazing couple and one story you do not want to miss and I can’t wait for Finn and Slater story next. Leo is part of the Wingman, Inc. and one of the rules is he can’t date, then someone from his past ends up on campus and now he will be tested. A phenomenal new book by one of my top fav authors RVD. Get it now and read, perfect balance between angst, romance, comedy and everything you know about this hot guys.
This is my first read about Wingman Inc. and I’m not normally into older women romance however this book has changed my mind! Rachel Van Dyken hooked me from the start with Leo Blackwood and all his swagger. Kora was also a great character and I enjoyed reading about them and their journey! Can’t wait for the the books on Slater and Finn!
Seducing Mrs. Robinson, an all-new contemporary romance by #1New York Times bestselling author Rachel Van Dyken, is LIVE!
From the moment I met the Pleasure Ponies in Co-Ed last year, I’d been hoping that the three younger guys would get their own time in the spotlight. Well, Santa (aka Rachel Van Dyken) listened because we now have the second book in what is now the Bro Code series, a spin-off of the author’s Wingmen Inc. duet. Book two is a professor-student romance with an older woman-younger man angle to it entitled Seducing Mrs. Robinson. I have a thing for the latter trope, and with Van Dyken’s innate ability to perfectly mix angst with wit, this was an absolute winner of a read for me, and is one of my favorites from her ever. Just a quick FYI: The book depicts and describes physically and emotionally abusive relationships, so consider yourselves cautioned if this may be a known or possible trigger.
Aaaahhh! I absolutely adored Seducing Mrs. Robinson! Leo may seem like some laid-back college senior without a care in the world, but there was so much more to him than that. Not that this was a surprise really considering that’s been the case with all the Wingmen, past and present. He and Kora just had that extraordinary connection, one that they couldn’t really delve into four years ago, but then things are meant to be happen at the right time and that’s exactly what happened in their case. I love how Finn and Slater truly were his wingmen, but then they extended that sense of support towards Kora as well, like I needed even more reason to love these guys. Rachel Van Dyken has penned a fantastically inspiring story about love, friendship, and courage, and it gets five-plus stars!
