Montgomery Ink: Boulder Book 4The Montgomery Ink: Boulder series concludes with a fake relationship where the heat and emotional connection are anything but false. The moment Madison McClard’s parents tell her that her ex is getting married, there’s no getting out of their latest scheme. One moment she’s trying to get out of their clutches. The next, they’re telling her exactly who she’ll marry to … who she’ll marry to save the family name. The one thing her parents don’t count on, however: Aaron Montgomery.
Aaron Montgomery didn’t mean to lie. Still, as soon as he overheard Madison’s dilemma, the words fell out of his mouth. Now, he’s fake engaged to a woman he barely knows, who also happens to be his new brother-in-law’s cousin.
As the deception mounts, so does the attraction. They told themselves it was only a ruse, but as feelings ramp and dangers surge, this Montgomery may have just met his match.
He simply has to fight to keep her.

5 SEDUCED IN INK STARS!! Another fabulous story in the Montgomery Ink series. I loved Aaron and Madison story it had all the feels we readers look for. I highly recommend this series and book.
Madison is not the golden child in her family. She’s more like their whipping post. When she does not do what her mother wants, she makes her life an absolute misery. She loves her parents (can’t imagine why) but doesn’t particularly like them. When her mother has matchmated Madison to the perfect man, Aaron comes to the rescue and declares that she is his fiancée. That causes some confusion. They decide to do the fake fiancée farce to keep her mother off her back. They were friends before. What’s going to happen when deeper feelings come into play? Characters from other books are infused in this one, but the story is very focused on Madison and Aaron. You can’t help but love him. He works so hard to boost her moral, self esteem and self confidence. Well written and a very enjoyable read.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book
Seduced in Ink is a wonderful addition to this series. Madison and Aaron are great friends who have buried feelings for each other. They have done a great job at keeping them buried until Aaron overhears something Madison’s mother tells her. He doesn’t like it at all. So, he just blurts out that they are engaged. Madison just goes with it and her mom, well to say she is shocked is an understatement. Madison’s mom does not believe them at all. So, she sets out to sabotage their “relationship.” Aaron and Madison try to navigate through this fake engagement as those feelings they’ve had for the other start to surface. Their kisses become more passionate. Their touches lead to some hot intimate situations. And, then there is what do they tell their family and friends. And, true to any Carrie Ann story, a twist is thrown in there when you least expect it!! But, these two manage to find a way to deal with all this and reach their HEA!!! Loved Aaron!! I mean he reads romance novels!! Great story Carrie Ann Ryan!!
Madison and Aaron’s fake relationship is one that was hard to believe was fake. The couple had so much chemistry and genuinely liked each other. The transition from fake to real was easier than it is for many couples. There was a genuine respect and desire to help each other that really made this book so much fun to read. Madison’s parent’s were pieces of work, but they weren’t the only bad guys here. I have enjoyed each of the Montgomery Ink stories, and Madison and Aaron’s story just added to the wonderful series.
Loved this book, love Carrie Ann Ryan. She’s an amazing author. The Montgomery family is one big loving gang always ready to help out. Aaron does exactly that with Madison, it’s not your typical fall right in love story. There’s so much more, can’t wait to read about some more Montgomery’s. You will not be disappointed with this book.
Seduced in Ink is the 4th novel in Mongomery Ink: Boulder Series, it can be read as a standalone but why not start this great series at the beginning. This story, has a fake relationship, suspense, emotion, and best of all the Montgomery’s. Aaron and Madison have a undeniable attraction towards one another, and when Aaron sees a opportunity to help her, he takes it. Never thinking it could end up more. My gosh these two were so good together. I enjoyed this book, and can’t wait to read more from this author.
Four and a half stars
Seduced in Ink is the fourth in Carrie Ann Ryan’s Montgomery Ink: Boulder series, and fifteenth or sixteenth in the overall Montgomery Ink series. While it stands alone just fine, you’ll likely want to dive into previous books and enjoy the warm sense of family and kinship Ms Ryan’s created.
Seduced in Ink is a friends/fake engagement story featuring Aaron Montgomery and Madison McClard. Aaron and Madison’s friendship began years ago as their friends/family spent time together and they also did by extension. But when Aaron overhears Madison’s parents attempting to strongarm her into an arranged marriage with someone they deem appropriately suitable, he cannot stop himself from stepping in and pre-empting them with news of their engagement. Granted, he probably should have actually asked Madison first, but the rescuer in him couldn’t stand idly by while he knew she needed him to act.
Seduced in Ink is in part incredibly painful to read at times because Ms Ryan’s descriptions of Madison’s sometimes toxic parents and their treatment of her seem to so accurately reflect abusive behavior and victims’ all too understandable reactions. What is truly lovely is to see Madison recognize her need to change her own response to her parents, and to see her take steps to put an end to that incredibly damaging way of interacting. While Aaron is fully supportive of Madison and aches to act on her behalf, she is the one who drives that change, and she is the one to determine how and when and what.
Aaron and Madison don’t have the easiest path to a happy ending given that their romantic connection starts off with a lie. Both have to clarify what exactly is true in their relationship, in their feelings, and in their hearts. And they have to navigate this individually, together, and for public consumption 😉
Ms Ryan does a terrific job with Madison and Aaron and their families, and Seduced in Ink is an excellent addition to the Montgomery Ink: Boulder stories!
Aaron is a Montgomery, his brother is Ethan, He is a glass blower. Madison McClard is a cousin to Lincoln who is with Ethan and Holland. She owns a cafe and does the baking. Lincoln is having an art show and Madison’s parents show up with a man she will be marrying. Madison says No, but her Mother calls her fat, and tells her no man will want her without the promise of money. Aaron overhears and announces that they are actually engaged. Lincoln goes along with it to keep up with her parents. They date, her Mother basically forces them to go on a weekend vacation with them. They reluctantly go, and Guy,the guy her Mom wanted to set her up with is there. A huge storm comes through, and Guy, forces Madison with him, he needs her money and he will force her to marry him to get it. She gets hurt, and so does her Mom who tries to rescue her, Aaron saves them, and gets them inside. He breaks it off, and tells her to go be with her parents while her Mom recovers.
After talking to Ethan and Lincoln he goes to see Madison, and she agrees to be his girlfriend and date him. The epilogue features some cheese and some interesting family news, and the futures of more books.
Up next is a new spinoff of Fort Collins Montgomerys Anabelle and Benjamin.
I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.
This was an interesting story, where in trying to defend his friend he put that very friendship in jeopardy. Aaron and Madison share a connection that he is trying to keep platonic, while secretly yearning for her heart. This book was very romantic and passionate. The only thing that bothered me was that they were getting in their own way and it was annoying. I really wanted to bonk their heads together.
I loved how Carrie brought some suspense and a bit of danger into the story giving us a rush of excitement.
Although this is the 4th book in the series it can be read as a stand alone. Be prepared to yell at you book while you fall in love with Aaron and Madison!
This came at the right time in that I needed to get deep into something thanks to the outside. This though will be the last in this one so I savored every bit of it. Madison has a bit of drama with the family with them telling her who to marry. Humm wonder what year they are in (joking lol) Then there is Aaron whom they think is her now fiance. Fun trouble when you go and say one thing but it is really another. Lies do have a way of spiraling and causing havoc. Staying and seeing how this plays out is a must with this being just the distraction I sure did need.
Once again Carrie Ann Ryan has captured my heart.
I absolutely loved Seduced in Ink. The way that Madison will fight to the death for her cousin or friends, but for herself? She is unable to stand up to her parents. I so know how she is. This book was too real by far but absolutely loved it.
Loved Aaron was the one who stepped into the breach, such a romantic, such a sweetie and such a hottie. Loved the dynamic between them. Absolutely adored the rollercoaster ride they took me on. I absolutely love the Non Cult of the Montgomery’s xx
Seduced in Ink is the fourth book in the Montgomery: Bolder series. This is of course a spin-off from the previous Montgomery series. You could read this as a stand-alone just fine, but the whole series is great so just read them all. This family is such a great one, and Ms. Ryan makes them all not only relatable and realistic but one you want to have as your own.
Aaron and Madison’s story involves a fake engagement and a whole lot of fun times. These two characters are so great and like I said before so much fun! I loved them and this book. I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
This is the fourth of the Boulder Series but can be read as a standalone because each story focuses on one couple. This is about Aaron and Madison who find themselves in a fake engagement suddenly because it seemed like the perfect solution to a problem. However once it’s created Aaron and Madison aren’t sure what they are going to do now, they are friends they always have supported each other but anything more wasn’t part of the plan. Aaron is the romance reader of the Montgomery’s and helps dish advice based off of things he’s came across from his readings however he’s clueless on how to fix the situation they face. Aaron also is an upcoming artist that makes glasswork his work is poetic and beautiful. Madison owns her own bakery called Sin in a cup, that is flourishing and people love it. However her parents are another story she’s never good enough, she can’t do anything right in their eyes that is until she snags a Montgomery.

Overall, I loved Aaron and Madison this is a feel good love story that has you rooting for the couple to turn something fake into something real. You’ll root for Madison to find the courage to do what she needs. There is a HEA as the author always gives us. I love the Montgomery’s the spinoffs are amazing as the original series. I’m looking forward to reading more of the Montgomery’s.
The Montgomery are growing fast and stories getting better.
I love Carrie Ann Ryan’s books because they are very contemporary and talk about this new generation of 30’s that is very interestinng.
The Montgomery’s are a big family with several branches and cities, but in the end they are our normal family with a lot of noise and affection. Aaron Montgomery sets up to help Maddison saying they are engaged for her family, little did he know that it would change their lifes forever.
Maddison is skeptical at first but Aaron is so dreamy that she is hooked on him.
The book is well written and so much fun!
I loved it!
Seduced In Ink (Montgomery Ink: Boulder #4) Madison McClard’s parents are hateful, especially her mother. So is it any wonder that at her cousin Lincoln’s (Sated in Ink – Ethan Montgomery, Holland Yeaton and Lincoln McClards story) art show Madison’s parents corner her, while her mother informs her that they have arranged her marriage and introduce her to a stranger who has agreed to marry her meanwhile her father stands there silently looking on. Aaron Montgomery overhears all this and being the sweet romantic that he is, he steps up beside Madison claiming that she is taken and they are engaged. And so the fun begins. This was a sweet read. I loved how Madison developed a backbone and the ending is unexpected and a true delight. Looking forward to the next book in the series Captured in Ink.
So sad to see the end of another Montgomery series! This book was amazing! I absolutely loved Aaron and Madison together. Their relationship started out unconventional (to say the least!), but watching them fall in love makes you swoon. Can’t wait to see what Carrie Ann Ryan’s next series is going to be!
Once again Carrie Ann Ryan has written a five star read that just sucks you in and doesn’t let go until the end of the book! I loved everything about this book. Madison was just trying to make a life of her own without her mother always breathing down her neck. Always saying degrading things to her making her self-esteem drop lower and lower. Aaron couldn’t take it and stepped in. Along the way they fell in love. Guy was a jerk and I never trusted him from the beginning. I love stating caught up with all the Montgomery ‘s. I love how they pop up in all the books. This is one of the best ones out of this series. I loved it!
Aaron Montgomery is too sweet and a man you totally want on your side. He can’t standby and watch the wrong before his eyes. Madison fights a controlling mother who thinks her word is law, in every aspect of her life. When Madison’s parents step over the line, Aaron steps in to save the day. What’s wrong with two friends pretending to be engaged. Nothing right? Unless those two people have attraction that keeps pulling at them, chemistry that makes them perfect for each other. Yet the more Pretend a couple things they do the more they realize maybe this relationship isn’t so fake after all.
Carrie Ann Ryan has given us readers another fantastic Montgomery for our hearts to swoon on. Aaron and Madison are great together. Sweet, funny and sexy. Seduced in Ink it totally character driven and I loved getting to know Madison and Aaron. A man that reads romance, oh YES! Madison is a strong woman and leaves her life the way she wants no matter what her parents dictate. Aaron showed her a fun and flirty side of life that she was definitely missing. Seduced in Ink has given me another new favorite Montgomery.
Wow! I loved Aaron and Madison’s story. These two were drawn to each other, but fighting their attraction. Madison’s family thinks they know what is best for you her, including what she should wear and who she should date. When Aaron overhears a conversation between Madison and her mother, he jumps in and claims to be her fiancé. This book was full of flirty, sexy fun. Aaron is just the sweetest, sexiest Montgomery so far. I really enjoyed everything about this book.
Rating: 4.5 Stars
Madison has the relative from hell. Aaron just wants to help a friend out. It was interesting to see how much two people could think alike but not realize that’s what the other person is thinking. It made me glad that the author didn’t get confused.
Loved how the author added in a little suspense that happens when the story should be leading the reader to its conclusion. Sad to say that I’ve been watching too many crime shows lately. I came up with too many conclusions instead of letting the author do her job. But as I continued to read, I realized how well this would fit in on any of the channels I watch.
I found this story to be addicting but wanting more. We have one secondary character, Lincoln, that reminded me how I missed his book. So now I’ll have the time to go back and read all the books I’ve missed. And that was one nice thing this author did. Even though I’ve missed some stories in the series, she didn’t have me feeling lost at any time while reading about Madison and Aaron. Another nice thing she does for us is that there’s a little treat at the end so I hope you’ll check that out.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
