Montgomery Ink: Boulder Book 4The Montgomery Ink: Boulder series concludes with a fake relationship where the heat and emotional connection are anything but false. The moment Madison McClard’s parents tell her that her ex is getting married, there’s no getting out of their latest scheme. One moment she’s trying to get out of their clutches. The next, they’re telling her exactly who she’ll marry to … who she’ll marry to save the family name. The one thing her parents don’t count on, however: Aaron Montgomery.
Aaron Montgomery didn’t mean to lie. Still, as soon as he overheard Madison’s dilemma, the words fell out of his mouth. Now, he’s fake engaged to a woman he barely knows, who also happens to be his new brother-in-law’s cousin.
As the deception mounts, so does the attraction. They told themselves it was only a ruse, but as feelings ramp and dangers surge, this Montgomery may have just met his match.
He simply has to fight to keep her.

Awesome conclusion to the Boulder clan. Aaron and Madison are friends with side long glances, steamy thoughts and dreams and insecurities a mile wide. This journey shows us just how far Aaron is willing to go to help Madison and we are off to the race of fake engagements (is it really), controlling parents, and a side of evil that strolls thru. Can they keep their emotions in check or will they lose not only their hearts but their lives too. Loved it!!! I volunteered an honest opinion for this book.
Madison & Aaron

I really loved reading this book
The characters have chemistry, the funny bantering, the witty comments, and the storyline is intriguing and fun.
5 star read
One of my favorites! Madison and Aaron are in one of my tropes. I love a good fake relationship storyline. Especially if both parties are already in love. And these two are perfect at it. Neither of thinks the other could possibly think of them that way. This book had a great plot and a little twist I did not see coming. Can’t wait for the next one.
Madison McClard has always been controlled by her parents much to the dismay of her cousin, Lincoln. Now she is being forced to marry someone, Guy, that they have picked out for her in order to increase their “place” in their circle. Her getaway is her bakery, Sin In A Cup, which her parents don’t really approve of but she knows this is what she wants to do with her life.
Aaron Montgomery is a glass blower and his brother Ethan is married to Lincoln. When he overhears Madison’s parents stating that she is to get married he interjects and says that he is already engaged to Madison.
Can Aaron and Madison manage to fool everyone with their insta-love story and is there a chance for them to find their happy ever after when not everyone wants them to succeed?
This was such a great book with some awesome twists to keep you flipping those pages!
I felt horrible for Madison and the way she was treated by her parents through the book. I hated that they found someone for her to marry and had already made all of the arrangements without telling her. Madison had her own dreams and I loved the dedication that she put into her bakery and I loved her staff.
I love the Montgomery’s so much and Aaron is no exception. I loved that he has a unique job and how close he is with his family. I love his huge heart and how he knew that he had to help Madison out as he knew she wanted nothing to do with the marriage that her parents had arranged.
Both Aaron and Madison already had an attraction to the other and I was happy when they realized that they wanted more but both of them were so confused with what was real and what was fake and both were dreading the “relationship” coming to an end. I was happy when they began to date and really get to know one another.
Guy was such a jerk and I knew he was going to be a lot of trouble as he was going to benefit from the marriage and obviously didn’t want to give that up. I was so mad at Madison’s mom for picking such a slimy guy for her and it made me so mad!!
When everyone went to the resort I knew that something bad was going to happen. As soon as Aaron went to help my stomach just sank. I was definitely expecting something but then I was totally shocked at who helped Madison first as that was a complete surprise. I was so grateful that Aaron got there in time!
The end was so amazing on so many different levels as amends were made and Aaron and Madison were finally open with how they felt about each other!
I can’t wait for more!
When I started reading I couldn’t put it down.Carrie Ann Ryan is magnifysent and amazing writer.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book. Can’t wait for the next book.
I just love the Montgomery family. So sweet like a Knight in shining Armor. Well a white lie thrown in the mix. Why not throw in some great chemistry between Madison and Aaron. If it wasn’t for those darn meddling parents. They got in the way and even caused more issues through the story but Aaron was there to help. As well as all the friends and family. Such a page turner with all the Montgomery’s. It’s always the quite ones. At least the siblings thought he was the clam one. Never a dull moment in the Montgomery family.
Fake marriage isn’t always my fave trope, but I knew Carrie Ann Ryan would give it unique flair and she did. Loved that Aaron is a romance reader and stepped up to be the knight in shining armor with an idea straight out of his reading. I loved his heart, and the build up of them discovering the depth of their feelings. Madison drove me crazy a bit. I felt for her, deeply, when her parents were being so abusive, and understand how hard it is to break out of that rut of pleasing the people who you love and are supposed to love you, but I found myself wanting her to flip her metaphorical (or real) fingers to them and do her own thing, her own way. She had her HEA resolution, with Aaron and with parents, but honestly, I only needed the one with Aaron. Sometimes toxic people are just irredeemable, but I think that’s more my own psychology than the characters. LOL All in all, a fabulous read with some reality, some wut? moments, and some twists, that is well worth reading! <3
Seduced in Ink was Aaron and Madison’s love story. To see them come together the way they did not as awesome. Loved how Madison starts to stand up for her self. Can’t wait to read the Fort Collins cousins stories.
Seduced In Ink is the absolute best addition to this phenomenal series. Grab this book and follow Aaron Montgomery and Madison McClard in a fake engagement that has very real emotions. A easy yet captivating read. Well done Carrie ann ryan you have delivered a epic book.
Seduced in Ink is book four in Carrie Ann Ryan’s Montgomery Ink: Boulder series. Each book in the series are stand alones with new couples and HEA endings. This book follows Aaron Montgomery and Madison McClard.
Madison McClard has always tried to keep her parents happy, regardless of how she feels. When her parents try to force her into an arrange marriage, she tells them no but they refuse to listen. Aaron Montgomery hears Madison and her parents talking about her getting married, so to save Madison he lies and says they are engaged and that she won’t be able to marry this other guy. Now having to pretend to be in a relationship feelings start to surface. Will a fake engagement be enough to stop the McClard’s from marrying Madison off? Will a fake engagement turn into a real relationship?
After reading Embraced in Ink I was a little disappointed with the whole fake relationship stories. They were getting old and frustrating reading about the back and forth emotional inner monologue. But Carrie Ann you have redeemed yourself ten fold with this book. I loved Aaron and Madison! I enjoy reading about past characters and I love how you intertwine your worlds.
4.5-loved it stars! This review is for the audiobook:
I had the opportunity to listen to the audiobook of Seduced In Ink by Carrie Ann Ryan and I loved it. Narrated by Teddy Hamilton, I loved listening to Aaron and Madison’s story. A fake relationship romance that was emotional and touching. Madison’s ex is getting married and her parents have decide to set her future for her. What is a girl to do when Aaron decides to jump to her rescue and now they are fake engaged?
My heart broke for Madison, whose parents tended to walk all over, but I loved watching her grow during her journey. Aaron was caring and fun. They were friends and never expected the lines to blur, but now, can they see what is right in front of them? I loved their chemistry and watching them explore more in their relationship.
Happy listening!
I love Mason and Aaron! They had to get married to prevent something fun happening. Just 2 friends helping each other out right? But….what if things get more complicated and more than friends sounds better? These 2 were made for each other and I loved them!
as always Carrie Ann Ryan never fails to keep you interested and wanting to finish the book in one sitting,
Seduced in Ink by Carrie Ann Ryan is book 4 in the Montgomery Ink: Boulder Series. This is the story of Aaron Montgomery and Madison McClard. I did feel this can be a standalone book if you wish to do so. Madison is being told by her parents that she has to marry someone of their choosing to save the family. Aaron ends up stepping forward into a fake engagement with Madison to try and help her but this of course leads them into a path of being more than friends. I really enjoyed their story and who doesn’t love a fake engagement that doesn’t feel fake?
As much as I love the Montgomery men, I did find Aaron’s lack of assertiveness slightly frustrating pretty often. He didn’t mind stepping it up in the bedroom so I couldn’t see the logic in holding back otherwise. I understood her lack of confidence up to a point but I’m not a big fan of masochism and her continuing to submit to the abuse of her parents was ridiculous. Other than those two points the book was a typical winner by this author.
I really loved this story! Although Madison is a strong woman who can run her own business and take care of everything, when it comes to her Mother, she gets overwhelmed and timid. But when her Mother tries to force her into an arranged marriage to save face for the family, Aaron Montgomery comes to her rescue. It’s such a great read to watch them go from this fake fiancé to developing real feelings and all the drama, fun and little bit of danger along the way.
Although Madison is more used to disappointing her parents then making them happy but her relationship with them is about to reach a crossroads. After being publicly criticized and then being told they had arranged a marriage for her Madison is struggling how to put an end to the situation when Aaron becomes her knight in shining armour and tells her parents that they are engaged.
Aaron isn’t about to let anyone run roughshod over his friend and that includes her parents. It won’t be that difficult to pretend to be engaged as he enjoys spending time with her as they are already friends. What he didn’t expect was the chemistry between them to ignite or the danger that Madison found herself would rock both their worlds and nothing would ever be the same again.
Everyone except for Aaron and Madison knew that they were destined to be more than friends and their friends and family are determined that they will realize it as well.

I loved this book. It’s so realistic. Madison has awful parents but inadvertently their actions created a great read. I received an advanced copy of this book and freely leave this honest review.
You’ll laugh and you’ll cry and Aaron will quickly become your favorite Montgomery. I know he’s mine!
