“Tanya Anne Crosby writes remarkable love stories.” —New York Times bestselling author, Lisa Kleypas
Merrick Welbourne never anticipated discovering a long-lost twin—particularly one who’d rob him and leave him for dead on the road. Now living his brother’s aristocratic life, he has new trials, tribulations… and temptations, not the least being Chloe Simon, a woman of rare mettle, proud … being Chloe Simon, a woman of rare mettle, proud heart, and unprecedented beauty. But she’s no easy mark for a perceived highwayman.
Chloe Simon knew Lord Lindale was definitely not himself. After encountering the masked highwayman Hawk left for dead, he seemed… somehow different. Maybe more approachable? Infinitely more… desirable. Entirely too irresistible. In a stolen moment of startling intimacy, he makes her feel like titled nobility. But she was only ever a doctor’s daughter, with every reason to steer clear of his very kissable lips.

Very different story about twins—not a copy from other twins books. Lots of turns—hard to guess the direction of the end—but it did end ok.
Would like to follow Epilogue—1 year later for Merrill & Chloe. But that may be in “A Crown for a Lady”. Looking forward to that book!

A good read. A twist that was not expected. Two great main characters finding their way in life.
Thirty years ago, Julian Merrick Welbourne III the prince of a small European country promised to marry Lady Fiona Elizabeth MacEwen, daughter of a Scottish earl, and she bore him twins, but then he married someone else and he became a monster she didn’t recognize when he demanded the twins be separated after their birth.
Merrick is in for quite a surprise when he comes face to face with the mother he never knew he had, why did she abandon him, why did she choose Ian, and why did his father never speak of her or his twin brother. Too many unanswered question and Merrick decides to take over his brother’s life to get a few answers. What he doesn’t expect is to be quite so enthralled with Lady Chloe Simon. Chloe has been a close companion to Lady Fiona for the last year and she realized Lord Lindale was definitely not himself after the robbery. She’s drawn to the man, he doesn’t seem to be the arrogant, ungrateful young man he was. An excellent story of a prince who finds the mother he never knew, a twin brother he never knew existed and love in this romantic tale and one I voluntarily read and reviewed. I can’t wait for Ian’s story next!!!
