A fun, humorous romantic suspense from USA Today bestselling author, Megan Matthews! When I moved to Pelican Bay to set up a new security company as a fugitive recovery specialist, I didn’t expect to find my next-door neighbor trying to break into her aunt’s house. I also didn’t expect her to have random henchmen harassing her for diamonds she insists she doesn’t have. Tabitha Thompson is running … insists she doesn’t have.
Tabitha Thompson is running from an abusive ex-boyfriend, and I desperately want to help. As a former Navy SEAL, I have the skills necessary to deal with almost any idiot willing to give his girlfriend a black eye. The trouble is my desire to protect her goes way beyond casual. But Tabitha pulls back when I show her I’m interested. Is it just my bad luck with women, or did her ex’s abuse cause her to distrust all men?
Either way, when Tabitha’s lies, drama, and ex-boyfriend catch up with her, it may not be something I can handle on my own. I just hope if things turn violent, we both come out alive.

Good read,enjoyed it
Tabitha’s neighbour in a new town is a total Alpha hottie. Hitting the right notes of sweet, proxtective and oh so sexy…he’s just who Tabitha needs on her side as troubles from her past catches up with her. I was entertained, laughed out loud and smitten with Ridge. Enjoy!
Wss hard to put down once you started reading it.I really enjoyed it
A rainy day book to read!
Fun read, very enjoyable.
I love the story especially with a good end. Great book to read.
Story was written about things happening in El Paso and Tucson, where I happened to be reading it. I don’t know why but there is something about reading a story that is happening where I am. Loved Austin and Kiley…
Difficult to put down
Different read loved Ridge.
Could not stop reading this book
I really enjoyed!
This is the first book I’ve read by this author. I loved the book and will be reading more books by this author.

Wondering where they are in 6 months?
Loved all the different twists and turns in this book. Characters were really cool.
Security Risk by Megan Matthews is a contemporary romance. Ms. Matthews has delivered a well-written book, a nice smooth read. Tabitha leaves her boyfriend behind after he slugs her in the face. Before she left, she copied his computer hard drive and lifted a bundle of money. She moves to Pelican Bay into the house her aunt left her. Ridge is her new neighbor and owner of Pelican Bay Security. Tabitha and Ridge’s story is packed with drama, humor, sizzle, action and suspense. I enjoyed reading Security Risk and look forward to reading more from Megan Matthews in the future. Security Risk is book 1 of the Pelican Bay Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
I voluntarily read a complimentary copy of this book that I received from Bookfunnel. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Shallow & coarse. I didn’t finish this book. It’s full of unnecessary foul language and seems to just be a story about a protagonist with nothing but sex on her mind. Underlying this is a thread about her flight from a Mafia guy who is after her for stealing from him.
Awesome book
Security Risk – Megan Matthews – Not that I’m complaining per se, but how does a shirtless picture of a guy scream security professional? But the plot of this is actually really good! Funny small town vibe, and a cute couple! I can totally believe Tabitha cluelessly dated a mobster for 4 years and got targeted for taking a million dollars’ worth of diamonds. Happy Reading!
This story was really pretty unreal – immature characters, unaware of what her ex was involved in, too many characters doing too many things. Tabitha was very naive, immature which I didn’t like. Why do the woman have to seem so stupid! Ridge needed to have more emphasis on what he was thinking, his point of view. The characters definitely have instant attraction and smoking hot chemistry.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
