Risking it all—again. Now his past is threatening both of them.Deputy Tanner Dempsey paid a high price for an undercover op gone wrong. Nobody understands a dangerous past better than Bree Daniels. Together they have to take on those real-life demons in order to stay alive. Keeping one step ahead of ruthless killers is their only option and risk is their constant companion.
This is a suspenseful and intriguing book that I devoured. Tanner is being set up for murder and it’s frustrating how easy it seems for someone to do. And, Bree is determined to help him find out who is behind this grand scheme. They make such a cute couple on the verge of taking their relationship to the next step in the midst of all of the uncertainty. She thinks she’s emotionally stunted and Tanner thinks Bree is perfect and takes it all in stride. The story is fast paced, engaging with a few surprises. I highly recommend this book!
What a fantastic book. Second with Bree and Tanner. A page turner and so much more.
Tanner isn’t being framed for something he has nothing to do with. Several people he put away in jail are being released, and also being killed.
So why are all the killings being pointed at him?
Bree will do whatever she can to make sure Tanner doesn’t go to prison. She wants to put his mind at ease that some of what she’s going isn’t all illegal.
Buy the book to see what happens.
Absolutely sensational !
I volunteered to read and review an advanced readers copy of Security Risk . I love this story . Bree and Tanner are a fantastic team . I was intrigued and interested from the start , this story kept me flipping the pages . This is an off the charts suspense romance . Bree is a computer genius/ hacker and Tanner is a Deputy sheriff . They both have dark dangerous pasta . Unfortunately Tanner’s past demons are coming after him . This is a sensational story , action packed , it’s intense , suspenseful and romantic . Just fantastic . I highly recommend taking the time to read this story and enjoy .
Security Risk is book 2 in the Bree and Tanner series. We met Bree and Tanner in Calculated Risk. Although this can be read as a stand alone I highly recommend reading Calculated Risk for the little nuances in their relationship. I really enjoyed watching her grow. I have to say the beginning through me for a loop with Tanner. OMW I was hurting. As Tanner is set up for murders Bree does what she knows best. The line Bree and Tanner walk, is a tough one, and needless to say there is a little crossing of the line, nothing is black and white. I appreciate the steamy kisses. I am with Bree, more against the wall please, ha! The first time the guilty party meets Bree I knew that’s who it was. They did a great job with the red herring, I was waffling. Enjoyed the interaction with Tanners family and excited about the future Bree is working out. I can’t wait to see what Janie Crouch has up her sleeve for book 3. I would love to see some more Noah 🙂 UM UM UM
Thank you for the arc! All thoughts and opinions are my own and were unsolicited.
this is another story about Tanner and Bree. someone is framing Tanner for murder. Bree is trying to help him , they go on the run but things keep happening can she find the proof he needs to clear himself or will the bad guy win. this is a great story looking forward to the next book I was given a copy of the book but this is an honest review. l
Meeting up again with Bree and Tanner from Calculated Risk, we get more insight into both characters and are able to watch their relationship progress. As might be anticipated, though, there is no smooth progression; Tanner is under suspicion and the two again need to work together to save their lives and their relationship. The heat is mostly hinted at or behind closed doors, and the focus is clearly on the suspense and excitement. I love how we’re seeing more and more of both Tanner and Bree’s characters as the books progress, and I want more! Again, Janie Crouch has written her characters believably, the story itself is gripping from the first page, and this is a must-read.
I received an advance copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Yet another suspense filled book from this stand out author who should be on everyone’s one click lists.
Yet again she has hidden the truth so deeply that every time you think you’ve solved it, your feet will be taken out from under you…
Definitely a must read after book 1.
Would give more stars if I could.
I figured out who the killer was but the more time went by and no one thought to question him, I was doubting myself but boom! In the end it was who I thought it was. I enjoyed this next installment of Bree and Tanner’s story. Can’t wait for the next one.
Another fast-paced, suspense driven read that will definitely keep you on your toes. Security Risk is book 2 in the Tanner and Bree thriller series, this time focusing more on Tanner and his background. Criminals that Tanner had put away in the past is now causing some serious issues, professionally and personally. To protect Bree, Tanner moves her into his ranch, which also gives them a chance to move their relationship further. Unfortunately, due to internal fears and lack of communication, progress on the emotional front is a bit slow, but they do eventually get there.
There were so many twists and turns and nail biting scenes that kept me entertained until the very end. Bree and Tanner are a great team and watching them work together to exonerate Tanner was so awesome to see. All in all, another great read and I am looking forward to the next two books in this series.
Bree and Tanner are at it again. This second book in the series featuring Cop Tanner and computer genius Bree was certainly a whirlwind edge of your seat book that never stopped entertaining. Janie Crouch had offered up another blockbuster hit with this book, one I’m sure I’ll be reading again. The couple are so loveable and the quaint and quietly characters in the town make à fun aside to all the drama and tension in this book. I am looking forward too the other two books in the series.
This was an ARC and this is my honest review.
Janie has done it again! This is the second book of her Bree and Tanner series. The first book was awesome, but this one is even better. This book you learn of things that happened in Tanner’s past, which ends up putting both of them in danger. Tanner and Bree are quickly becoming two of my favorite H/H! Plenty of twists and Turns!
