Who knew that a one night stand six months ago would come back to Reece on his first day of his new job! And the woman happens to be the boss’ daughter! And more shocker, she’s pregnant! This is such a great story and I hope we will get to read more about Reece and Delilah throughout this new series.
To say that Reece was shock when he meet the HR person at his new job and it happens to be Delilah from their one night stand over 6 months ago. And Delilah happens to be around 6 months pregnant. Reece can definitely do the math and know that he’s going to be father. Delilah is shocked to see Reece especially since he just left the morning after 6 months ago without any message! Delilah is determined that she will take care of the baby without Reece’s help. Reece is determine to step up and help Delilah with the baby in any way he can. He first must make sure her father, his boss and former brother of arms, doesn’t kill him.
An attack on Delilah has the men of the security firm in search mode to find out who is trying to harm her. Reece decides he will protect the mother of his child until they find out who wants to hurt Delilah. While protecting Delilah, Reece and Delilah realize that they are still attracted to each other but neither is sure about what the other wants so they try to keep in platonic.
I love how Reece cares for and about Delilah and shows her the love she needs without her realizing that she needed it. I love how they slowly works towards acknowledging their true feelings for each other and working on being a couple and expectant parents. It is such a romantic story and a mystery to solve of who wants to hurt Delilah and it was a little crazy on the who and why!
Get comfortable because this is the kind of story that will suck you in and won’t let go until your done reading it. I basically read it in 2 sittings because my dear friend Evan sent it to me in 2 parts.
Reece and Delilah have some pretty hot chemistry going on and share quite a few steamy hot scenes. This story is intriguing, suspenseful and highly entertaining. It’s a fun read. So get settled and enjoy
Standalone told in a dual POV with an amazing HEA. I strongly recommend this story.
I have been a huge fan of Evan Grace for some time now and this story was just wow! It blew me away and I found that I could not put it down at any point. Yes people, my family went without me making dinner that night! I loved Reece a lot. Then watching him and Delilah navigate through the shock and subsequent baby time was amazing. There were a lot of ups and downs in this story but I cannot not see that happen after everything. And when Grace writes a twisted villain, oh boy does she ever. My mind was blown as to the level of twistedness that happened!
Overall, this is an epic start to this series and I am I so looking forward to more. There is amazing passion and chemistry that flows throughout this story and how much they mesh. Some may say that Delilah and Reece rolled into it too easily, but I found it just shows the compatibility that people have to fall into a relationship. I would highly recommend this read in a heartbeat!
This book was exciting right from the beginning when Reece is ready to start his new job working for his buddy Jack at Rogue Security when in walks his one night stand Delilah. Delilah is Jacks daughter that he didn’t know Jack had who he left without a note the next morning. The new job is gonna be awkward enough but when Delilah gets attacked on her way home it changes everything. I can’t say too much more without giving away the plot but the cast of characters and the things that go on will leave you glued to the story. Reece and Delilah are great characters and I can’t wait to read about some of the others in Stake Out the next one
I enjoyed reading this book. A definite read. Reece and Delilah meet one night and she becomes pregnant. Not knowing that she became pregnant, Reece has a big surprise when he sees Delilah a few months later. This is a well written suspense contemporary romance.
Looking forward to book two “stake out”.
This book was so fantastic that I read it in one sitting!! I couldn’t put it down not only did I need to find out the mystery of what was happening overall but I had to find out what was going to have between Reese and Delilah! This book is just so action-packed with love, romance, mystery, suspense, and some comedy it’s the whole package. That you will be riveted to this book until you finish it and then you will be ready for the next book. It’s a dual pov which are my favorite also so you know how both parties feel. The secondary characters which are a few are awesome and I can’t wait to see which ones get their own books and read them!! As I have fell in love with all of them as well!! This is going to be one great series and this is just the first book!!! I don’t want to give to much away because you need to read and take all of this book in on your own with no spoilers of any kind. Just know that you will not regret reading this book. 5 Stars doesn’t do it justice at all!!!! I highly highly recommend this book!!! – By Tina
This book was sugar, spice, and everything nice. The chemistry was off the charts with the main characters. The author had every emotion pouring out of me with this book. One minute I’m gushing over how cute the couple is. The next I’m all hot and bothered while reading about the more intimate moments. Then the author has me fuming with anger at how ridiculously stupid the villain of this story is. I loved how Lilah was a strong-willed woman. Who didn’t take crap from anyone and didn’t shy away from speaking her mind. Reece was this strong former military Alpha male who didn’t shy away from showing his feelings to the people he cared about. Together they make the perfect couple and make the story that much more enjoyable.
4/5 stars – By Vanessa
I’m pretty sure Evan Grace could make the phone book an interesting read. I’ve read a bunch of her books now, all with different types of heroes and heroines and unique storylines and she never disappoints!
Security Breach is the start of a new series and I’m very excited for the rest of the books. This book is a standalone romance with no cliffhanger and a very HEA.
Reece is recently retired from active duty and not sure what to do with his life. His old army buddy offers him a new job and some direction for the future and Reece gratefully accepts. Little did he know that his first day on the job, would be the first day of the rest of his life.
When Reece goes to sign the HR documents to make his new job official, he’s shocked to see his one night stand sitting across the desk from him. Not just shocked to see her at all, but especially shocked since she’s about six months pregnant and well….let’s just say he can do math. To add to the bombshells dropped on Reece’s plate, Delilah, the mother of his baby, is the daughter of his army buddy and new boss. It’s sounds a little soap opera-y when I’m summarizing, but it’s not. I can’t do it justice. It’s extremely well-written, filled with emotions, action, suspense, sweetness and steam.
It’s not a who’s the daddy/forbidden romance, it’s a sweet romance of two people going about things a bit backwards, but ending up at a happy ending none-the-less.
Reece immediately steps into the role of protector for both Delilah and the baby and things become even more dire when it appears that Delilah has a stalker. When they’re forced under one roof until the threat is neutralized, Delilah and Reece get to know each other with their clothes on and tip toe along the line between being platonic co-parents and being a full-on couple. What’s best for the baby? What’s best for them? What will their future look like once they are free from the dangerous stalker?
Great romance with humour, heat, action and suspense. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
Reece has retired from the army and he has come to town to talk to one of his military buddies about a job with Rogue Security. While in town he spends a steamy evening with a beautiful woman and leaves the next morning without sharing contact info.
Six months later he receives a shock when his boss’s daughter Delilah was not only the one night stand from the last time he was in town but she is also carrying his baby.
Delilah had planned to raise the baby on her own and is not too sure about letting Reece into her life. Things take a turn when they find out she is being stalked but will they be able to find out who is behind it before it is too late?
This author never disappoints and this story is no exception. It has suspense, humor and red hot chemistry. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Evan Grace has gotten me hooked yet again to another great series! Security Breach being the first book in the series has already introduced an amazing span of character just like Reece and Delilah. This page turner had me glued til 2am and finished in one sitting. I love good suspense in my romance, especially mixed in an accidental pregnancy, and I’m in love!
Never did Reece expect to see the same woman he had a one night stand with six months ago at his new place of employment. But that’s not even the biggest shock of them all. She’s also the daughter of his best friend and now boss, and she’s pregnant! Telling his friend and boss he’s the father is the least of his worries when danger follows Delilah and there’s no leads. Reece will do anything to protect the beautiful Delilah and his unborn baby.
Security Breach is book one of the new Rogue Security and Investigation Series. Amazingly written in dual POV with a great HEA and epilogue. Definitely another must read from Evan Grace. I can’t wait to see what’s too come with this series!
5 SEXY REECE STARS!! I am so excited for this series and what a great start with Security Breach. This story is fantastic with all the feels and suspense that kept me on the edge of my seat. Reece is so sexy and sweet, wow I need him. Delilah is beautiful, sweet and strong that has had a terrible childhood with her mom. Reece and Delilah have one heck of a story to tell you. Evan Grace is becoming one of my favorite go to authors to read. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
I did not read it all. Lousy no plot just sex
I quite this book after two chapters, due to the narration style. Chapters are written in alternating First Person point of view. Personally, I find this style annoyingly simplistic (I sat in a chair. Then I drank a cup of coffee, while I waited for a phone call.) The story may be ok, but the writing could not convey me into it.
Great summer read!

Reece, had had a good career in the military but now after feeling groundless he was ready for something new and today was a step in the right direction.
Until the moment his world is rocked by a revelation that leaves him wondering why he’s not as upset as he once thought he’d be.
However the nice night out comes to and ubrupt halt when his boss and more importantly friend get’s one of those calls no dad wants.
Delilah, her name was just as beautiful as she was and some low-life hurt her.
Delilah couldn’t grasp why someone would do something like that especially to her.
The doctors were keeping her overnight for observation but so far so good and hopefully she’d be leaving in the morning.
Right now all I wanted was to make sure Delilah was okay that both of them were okay but also to show that she matters to me.
However I really shouldn’t have doozed off because yeah the jig is definitely up and her dad and my friend finally got the answer to the million dollar question.
But at the moment it’s not about either one of us; it’s about keeping our girl safe and if that means coming up with a different plan; then so be it
My mom isn’t the most maternal woman in the world in fact she’s a walking talking nightmare who can’t stand the fact I won’t fall in line anymore.
It’s kind of funny no it’s kind of sad my hormones have shifted into overdrive and I’m not sure how to get his attention or that I should want his attention.
I just wish we’d been able to catch the low-life who’s invaded their piece of mind had been caught by now but unfortunately that hasn’t happened yet.
But it’s only a matter of time.
Delilah’s is a living breathing temptation and I’m slowly losing my strength to resist because truthful I don’t want to.
Nor do I have to anymore the desert nights are over and Delilah is even more beautiful than I remember with the taste of heaven.
I’d hoped when I shared my wonderful news with my parents that they would accept my choices about my future.
However I didn’t expect there reactions to our relationship and when my sweet girl hurt by their careless words leaves.
Sadly I’m just a dumb fool who doesn’t have a clue when it comes to soothing hurt feelings.
But I’m grateful we were able transverse our little hiccup and carry on; hopefully a lot stronger together.
I should have known the second we laid eyes on Delilah’s mom I should have sent her on her way but for my girl will see.
Sadly I didn’t send that venomous snake packing soon enough but I’ll never make that same mistake ever again.
Everything was getting better until the floor fell out from under me and it all started with a phone call from my own mom.
Now we’re in a race against time because I can’t live with out my girl and I really don’t care what I have to do to get them back.
What a great read! Reece and Delilah share a very hot one night stand and then he’s gone. Six months later he starts a new job and on his first day there, gets the surprise of his life.
You can feel the connection between them and isn’t just because of the surprise!!
When it becomes apparent that somebody is out to cause harm to Delilah, Reece will stop at nothing to protect her and keep her safe. Reece, with the rest of the team, jump into action to try and neutralize the threat but whoever it is, is being very illusive.
I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to catch up with the rest of this series.
This is the first one in this series. I read the second one first and realize I didn’t need to read these in an certain order. I freaking loved this one. One night stand turns into something more. This was quite the ride. It had me hanging on right from the beginning to the very end. There was passion suspense a gripping storyline . I loved Reece and Delilah together. I loved going on this journey with them to happiness. Delilah is one strong woman and I love that in a character.Amazing book Highly recommend.

Security Breach was the first book in the Rogue Security and Investigation series by Evan Grace. It was my first book by the author.
Reece Meyers and Delilah Mackenzie had a one night stand when he came to town for business. They didn’t exchange information and expected to never to see each other again. Fast forward six months when Reece started a new job with a former Special Forces buddy and ran into a pregnant Delilah, who happened to be the daughter of his friend/boss.
I enjoyed the characters and the storyline. It had a suspenseful vibe, which kept me intrigued. The drama was a little anti climatic and I desired a different outcome, but the relationship development between Reece and Delilah was entertaining.
Grace also set the stage for the rest of the series by including the secondary cast of characters as central to the plot. We were able to get a glimpse into their personalities (all hot alpha males) as well as the security investigative services they offered. The series has promise for more bantering fun with suspenseful plots. Erik and Shayla are up next in False Security.
This was a great fun read. Reese starts working for is old Army buddy and finds out on his first day that his one night stand 6 months ago when he came for an interview was with the office manager who happens to be the boss’s daughter, Delilah, and she’s pregnant with his kid. He’s wondering if he’ll live…probably won’t need that job, when the boss finds out. Delilah is brutally attacked that day with a blow to her stomach. Reese and her dad, Jack, decide she will stay with him since he’s the baby daddy and he can protect her. These two pick up where there hot one night stand left off. There are lots of hot steamy scenes, a nasty vindictive mother, a gay bff and his boyfriend and someone still trying to hurt Delilah and her baby.
Six months ago Reece and Delilah spent one night together, when Delilah woke up Reece was gone. Now Delilah is pregnant and has the support of the Rogue Security team and her father, what she never expected was the new hire to be Reece.
Reece never expected to see Delilah again but now she is in front of him at his new job and pregnant. Reece knows the baby is his and when Delilah finds herself in danger, Reece moves her in. Reece doesn’t regret much in life but he does regret not exploring the more with Delilah when he slept with her, she was younger and he didn’t handle it well but now he has a second chance. Will they figure out who is determined to hurt Delilah before it is too late?
This was fantastic. Loved the fact that it is a slow burn romance with Reece and Delilah. Thought every aspect of this was fantastic. Pure entertainment.
This is the first book by Evan Grace that I have read. It was a good read.
I liked the characters, all the guys are great.
Delilah, hmm, what to say about her. There were parts that she really showed how young she really is. She did some stupid things, knowing that there was someone after her and her unborn baby.
I really thought Jack would go off on Reece.
Reece took his surprise very well. I was actually a little shocked that he took it that well. He wasn’t mad, or anything. he just accepted it and got excited.
I will admit to figuring out who the bad guy is right away though.
I did skim some of the later sex scenes, because they didn’t seem to progress the story much. They almost seemed like filler. Don’t get me wrong, I love a hot and steamy scene, but it has to do more for the story for me.
I didn’t really feel the connection between Delilah and Reece until about the half way mark.
This was still a very good read. I will continue to read the next in the series. it held my interest and kept me entertained.
