Caite McCallan is a Department of Defense admin working in Bahrain when a glitchy elevator, of all things, leads to an unexpected invitation to dinner by a gorgeous Navy SEAL. When he later stands her up, Caite’s understandably upset…until she overhears a plot that confirms Rocco didn’t blow her off. Instead, he and two fellow SEALs are in danger—and Caite is forced to put her career and her life … life on the line to save them.
Blake “Rocco” Wise never expected his routine mission to go sideways, but he was even more surprised to find himself and his teammates rescued by the adorably shy woman he met in a stalled elevator. Caite’s selfless act saved his life, but when attempts on her own make it clear someone wants her gone, it’s Rocco’s turn to protect the brave, sweet, sexy woman. The longer he knows her, the more he wants her…but keeping Caite close could bring her nearer to the enemy than ever before.
** Securing Caite is the 1st book in the SEAL of Protection: Legacy Series. Each book is a stand-alone, with no cliffhanger endings.

Exciting!! This is a page turner and I loved it!! Caite and Rocco are perfect for each other! Their story is exciting, action packed, edge of your seat drama all while being sexy and romantic.
Securing Caite is the first book in a new SEAL Team series by Susan Stoker. I loved it and even though Caite was a bit reckless in her defense she did try to get the guys who were trapped help. I also enjoyed reading about Wolf’s team at the end, Tex (of course), Rear Admiral Dag and Brenae.
Caite McCallan is in Bahrain working a DOD job that unfortunately her lazy boss has her doing his work as well as her own. But when the building’s elevator fails she’s trapped inside with Rocco and his teammates they are able to get out and she agrees to a dinner with Rocco. They are in Bahrain trying to find not only a mole but a thief who’s stealing artifacts and selling them on the black market. There will be a rescue of the guys and several attempts on her life and of course the ending will knock your socks off.
Blake “Rocco” Wise and his team are in Bahrain to find out who has been smuggling artifacts out of the country. He never expects to meet Caite in a broken elevator nor does he expect her to help out when his mission goes FUBAR. She’ll soon be in need of his protecting when someone tries to kill her. Could they be looking for the same person that his team and commander is? Is Caite the “one” his soul mate? When she needs rescuing can Blake get there in time?
Caite and Rocco
Securing Caite is the first book in a new series by Susan and is a definite must read! Caite is different to the other heroines in Susan’s stories…she’s shy and doesn’t venture very far from base because of the dangerous element. Rocco is the typical Alpha male I expected in this story
Caite is working overseas when she meets three gorgeous muscular men, but only one of them seems to affect her…Rocco. Rocco is intrigued by the woman in the elevator and when he secures a dinner date with her whilst trying to finish up his mission and doesn’t make the date, he’s bummed and thinks she won’t know what happened to him. But when she comes to his and his teammates rescue, he knows he’s found the woman for him
Can’t wait to read more about Rocco’s teammates and the end of this book gave a hint as to who is next….Gumby
This is such a awesome book!
I thoroughly enjoyed reading it!
It is an exciting, suspenseful & moving story. Caite & Rocco steal your heart
from the very first pages to the last.
Another great series for us to love.
I loved everything about this must
read story!!!
Holy smokes I absolutely fell in love with caite and Rocco and his team. Caite is one strong lady and when she saves Rocco and 2 of his teammates and finds himself wanting more but has to go back to the USA and he doesn’t want anyone but caite but when bad guys are out to kill her can Rocco and his team keep her safe? We even got to see wolf and his team and wives in this book. O sm so excited for the new book.
I’m in love with Rocco! He finds his perfect woman, Caite, while trapped in an elevator in Bahrain. I love that Caite is not a helpless female and that her man recognizes and admires it. We have lots of action, drama, suspense and romance. This is a great start to a new series.
Caite McCallan is a Department of Defense admin working in Bahrain who meets Rocco, a gorgeous Navy SEAL. He invites her to dinner, but does not show up for their date. Caite later learns that Rocco and his two other teammates were captured, beaten and hid in a cellar, and that the guys who took them planned to eliminate them eventually.
Caite ends up rescuing Rocco, but she also attracts the attention of a naval officer who wanted her dead for what he saw as her interference.
I love stories involving alpha men who are gung-ho in protecting their women, and am always looking forward to Susan Stoker’s special-forces stories. Plus, I have fallen in love with the men who show up once in a while in any of her books, as I feel like they are part of “my” book family, quirks and all.
If you want a swoon-worthy read, go ahead and one-click Securing Caite, you won’t regret it!
I have read almost all of her books and enjoyed them all.
Susan writes amazing books! I LOVE all her series and so bummed when I finish a book!!! 🙂 Read hers in order – just because the gals that get together with the SEALS have their own story and it is nice to see how she gets them into the story. You won’t be able to put down any of her books! Love all of them!!!
Susan Stoker always delivers. Can’t wait for the next book in the series.
Caite works for the DoD in Bahrain. She meets Rocco and two of his members in an elevator. Rocco asks her out but doesn’t show up. While working a conference she overhears some men talking about the Navy men they have trapped. They are going back and killing them. When Caite can’t get her boss to listen, she goes to save them herself. Rocco can’t believe Caite is the one who rescued them. He goes back to the states and then Caite gets fired and sent back home. Rocco has not been able to stop thinking about Caite and when he hears she was fired, he looks her up. But someone out there thinks she knows more than what she’s saying and will do anything to keep her quiet. Rocco will do anything to save the woman he has fallen for.
First book in a new series. Some old friends show up and new ones. Sexy, action, and suspense. Can’t wait for the next one. Will have you on the edge of your seat.
Caite and Rocco an a brilliant and exhilarating start to the SEAL of Protection Legacy series. Being the first book in a new SEAL series written by Susan Stoker, I wasn’t sure if she could make me love any SEAL characters as much as the ones Stoker fans already love and hold so dear to their hearts. But she did.
I’m not sure if I have a favorite yet, but getting to meet the team the way we did, really made you sit up and take notice. I love that Caite is like Ice but different in many ways. She has talents but it’s not over the top, and she’s very relatable to the women reading.
Rocco, he is the perfect fit. A true gentleman with a bossy yet lovable side. The classic hero we all love in Susan Stokers books. That’s not to say that her heroes are all the same, not a all, while continuing to write military heroes Mrs. Stoker constantly gives us fresh stories and plots, with deep characters. And Securing Caite definitely hit that one the head. Subtle humor, intriguing, fast paced, romantic, a little angst, a few cameos, a little salute to a certain rescue I love (Ice), and Rocco and his rock. And That elevator scene drew me in I didn’t put the book down until I finished.
While I will always hold Wolf and his team in my heart, I’m willing to make room for this new SEAL team and look forward to reading the upcoming books in this series. Especially with that epilogue…
I can’t wait to see what you do next Mrs. Stoker, but as one of the original Stokers Aces, I think this one is right up there with one my favorites, Protecting Fiona. (Granted my favorites change on a daily bases, cause I can never choose.)
I HIGHLY recommend this to all Stoker fans, military romance fans, romantic suspense fans and anyone that is a fan of romance done right.
Will be rereading this book, probably multiple times as I did with the original SEALs of Protection series.
This is the first book in a new series, but you will some familiar faces along the way. This one sucked me right in. Caite will surprise you and even herself because she has so much integrity and guts. While reading one part I asked myself would I have the guts to even attempt what she did. I love Rocco and his team. Great cast of characters. I loved the meaning behind Rocoo’s name. I highly recommend this one. It has heart, heat, and humor. It also has moments that leave you on the edge of your seat. I really liked the build up for the next book. It sounds intriguing.
This is book 1 in the offshoot series of Seal of Protection: Legacy. If you have read the Seal of Protection series and fell in love with the characters then you will remember meeting this Seal team and it’s members in passing. Now it’s time for them to get their stories. This one is about Blake “Rocco” Wise and Caite McCallan. Rocco and Caite meet in Bahrain while she is working for the state department and the elevator they all get into decides to get stuck. While they are waiting for the elevator to be fixed, Rocco ends up asking Caite out to dinner. Even knowing he will only be in town for a very short time. Due to circumstances beyond his control, he ends up standing her up for their date. But Caite overhears some men talking about a plot against the seal’s and decides to take action to try to save them. Rocco never expects anything to go wrong on what should have been a routine mission. And he certainly isn’t expecting Caite to be the one to save them when it happens. Or that her actions would cost her and she ends up back in the states, he is determined to not only help her get on her feet but to find out if their chemistry is something long term. He just never expects the trouble to have followed her home and her life to now be in danger because of his mission.
I absolutely loved this book! I was entirely too sad when the other series ended but this book definitely hooked me from the get go and reminded me of why I love reading this author’s books so much. Rocco is definitely an alpha military man but he is so beyond sweet to his woman that you can’t help but fall in love with him. Especially when he realizes pretty quickly how much he could see his life with Caite. Caite tends to be a loner and isn’t entirely comfortable in new situations or around men but she will do what she believes is the right thing to do no matter what it could cost her. She is strong in incredible ways and does things she is terrified of just because she knows she has to. I loved her and them together. They complimented each other perfectly and this was definitely the right way to start this series off and hook me in! I can’t wait to read the rest of the teams stories and to understand how they came to be the men they are and see the women who fit them!
Wow!! Caite and Rocco were so adorable together. So many awww moments, I read it word for word. Wanted to savor everything
Once again Susan has delivered a strong sexy heroine, one who has no idea how smart, beautiful and desirable she is.
Caite meets Blake ‘Rocco’ Wise in an unusual way, they get stuck in the elevator at her office. After finding out his boss is her bosses boss she knows she shouldn’t see him again. But when he asks her to dinner she just can’t refuse.
Rocco dubs Caite ma petite fée, my petite fairy because she was so tiny compared to him. Now he can’t get her off his mind and his teammates convince him to go see her before they go do their recon mission.
That meet up goes well and they are both looking forward to dinner that night and Rocco goes to meet with his team and get the job done.
If you’ve read any of Susan’s book you know something is going to go FUBAR here and it does. I started crying at this point wondering how they will get out of this impossible situation.
It is Caite who comes to the rescue and Gumby, Ace and Rocco are stunned at her bravery and naivete. Unfortunately this also means the end of their mission and they return to the states.
Of course this is going to have repercussions for Caite, even though they keep her out of the official report. She was seen wearing the traditional abaya and hijab, and it was reason enough for her unreasonable boss to fire her and send her home.
Now everything heats up, her relationship with Rocco, becoming friends with his team, and frequent harrowing experiences. All this pointing to someone of high rank on their home base.
We get to see some of our favorites characters in this one two, including Wolf and Caroline, Cookie and Fiona, and Slade and Dakota.
A can’t put it down read, filled with suspense, tension, love and so much more! I know for sure this series is going to be as amazing as the original SEALs of Protection.
Another great story by Ms. Stoker. She writes the best stories with the best characters, they are real, impressionable, true and just all around good people.
There is intrigue from the first page. The guys can’t die, it’s only the beginning of the book! Enter Caite, an admin who overheard something and she couldn’t let it go. She stepped out of her comfort zone, like all of us should do more often.
I loved the crossover with Wolf and his team and the innuendo’s from the guys on the team, especially Cookie. The sense of belonging is wonderful. When reading this book (and any of Ms. Stoker’s), I’m thinking about it even when I’m not reading it. I will always one click Ms. Stoker’s book and I will re-read them over and over again.
I highly recommend Securing Caite and any of Ms. Stoker’s books.
So a new Seal series is born with Rocco and Caite’s journey bursting into action. Really enjoyed meeting this new couple along with the new Seal team. Good story line and suspense. Looking forward to the rest of crew finding their futures. Settle in for a good read.
Great characters, funny banter, and always a conflict that gets ones heart racing. Another great read!
