Caite McCallan is a Department of Defense admin working in Bahrain when a glitchy elevator, of all things, leads to an unexpected invitation to dinner by a gorgeous Navy SEAL. When he later stands her up, Caite’s understandably upset…until she overhears a plot that confirms Rocco didn’t blow her off. Instead, he and two fellow SEALs are in danger—and Caite is forced to put her career and her life … life on the line to save them.
Blake “Rocco” Wise never expected his routine mission to go sideways, but he was even more surprised to find himself and his teammates rescued by the adorably shy woman he met in a stalled elevator. Caite’s selfless act saved his life, but when attempts on her own make it clear someone wants her gone, it’s Rocco’s turn to protect the brave, sweet, sexy woman. The longer he knows her, the more he wants her…but keeping Caite close could bring her nearer to the enemy than ever before.
** Securing Caite is the 1st book in the SEAL of Protection: Legacy Series. Each book is a stand-alone, with no cliffhanger endings.

Did not care for the theme of sustainability when pushing a community commune type living. Just my opinion
I love Securing Caite. It has a strong smart heroine, a supportive alpha Hero, an interesting storyline and wonderful narration on the audiobook. Another winner and a new series to get hooked on.
“I’m a SEAL. We’re all SEALs,” Rocco said matter-of-factly. “We don’t need weapons because we are weapons, Caite.”
She rolled her eyes… “Save me from macho navy heroes.”
I have to admit that these stories are a bit of an addiction for me. Whenever I feel I’m in a reading funk and nothing interests me, I just need to grab a Susan Stoker book and I’m cured. They perfectly combine swoony romance with just enough action and suspense to keep me glued to the pages.
“… holding Caite as if she were made of glass, even though he knew from experience she had a core of steel,”
Securing Caite is the firsts book and a standalone in the new SEAL of Protection: Legacy series. It stars a whole new group of SEALs to follow and swoon for as they meet both danger and love.
-5 Stars-
I really enjoyed it. Great characters.
Excellent book!
Loved the characters and the storyline. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series. Susan Stoker is one of my favorite authors.
Author does not disappoint – great characters and plot.
Loved the strong female character. Loved how all the SEALs come together to protect her.
loved it
I enjoyed reading this book, even though some of the story seemed a little hard to believe. Having said that, however, the characters were like able and the story flowed nicely.
Good story
I love Susan Stoker books because they always have a heroine who holds her own against the alpha guys. I also love the family the teams form and how people belong to the whole team not just which ever member they’re paired up with. I relate so well to Stoker heroines like Caite who was not trained as a operative and doesn’t think she’s anything special but seriously steps up to the plate and does what needs to be done. She reminds me a lot of Caroline, except this time the guy sees her right off (shame on Matthew for not noticing Caroline until she offered her seat to him) and doesn’t let her hide. Rocco is awesome. He doesn’t make any of the stupid lead male mistakes (it’s better for her if I stay out of her life, etc.), he’s just swoon-worthy. I’m looking forward to the new team and the high-jinks they get up to. The little teaser for Gumby’s story looks like it’s going to be awesome because who doesn’t love a heroine who will literally fight a dude who abuses pitbulls?
Loved this book, didn’t think it was the little brother!
I enjoyed this book.. It was a fun read. Perfect afternoon read by the fire.
Good book. I could relate to some of this because I have lived abroad.
Awesome read as always!!
I liked it.
It’s nice to have a woman who can be proactive in a dicey situation. Sure, not terribly realistic, but with non-fiction tales you do have to be willing to suspend belief. Love reading such novels because they leave me feeling happy.
Loved it!!
Caite has a job as an administrative assistant in Bahrain. She unknowingly overhears information from men speaking in French which puts her life in danger. Can Rocco and his team find who the bad guys are while keeping Caite safe?
Always great to read about strong independent women! YEA!
