I would highly recommend this book as I would any of Tami Hoag’s works. It keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time. You don’t know who did it until the very end. A great read.
I haven’t read a Tami Hoag for a while. I don’t think she’s ever written a bad one. This one wasn’t my favourite. It took a while to get the numerous detectives and suspects straight in my head and I had my suspicions about the murderer early on but it was still a great read with lots of surprises along the way.
If you want a great thriller you can always count on Tami Hoag!
Book 2 in Oak Knoll Series… Hooked… book 3 is ready and waiting… A great read…
Like her other series better but still great reading!
One of my first from Tami Hoag. Really enjoyed this book.
This book kept me on the edge, twisting and turning to guess who committed the murders. The characters are believable and convincing. The author combines a love story with the suspense of a whodunnit that keeps readers guessing. I recommend this book if you want a page-turner that will have you staying up late into the night.
An absolute page turner from the first page to the last! My favorite side character would be fanny of course with his outrageous comments. My favorite main characters would be mendez for his enthusiasm and vonce for his patience and compassion. The story flows beautiful regardless of how complicate it got. I was caught up in every page as it was …
I love all of Tami Hoag’s books, but I especially love those that take place in the 1980’s and have Anne Leone and her husband as the main characters. In this book, Marissa Fordham is dead, but her daughter is found at the crime scene, injured but alive. Now sheriff’s detective Tony Mendez and child advocate Anne Leone begin to peel back the …
It is easy to get hooked on Hoag’s mysteries. She has a way of starting with something horrific, a murder so brutal that you can’t look away. Don’t read one of these right before you go to sleep or you’ll have nightmares. You just have to keep reading to find out the truth, the answers to the questions. Who is Marissa, the woman so brutally …
Tami Hoag is one of my top few authors. I find her characters well developed and very human. This book comes from a fertile imagination and I enjoyed the surprising turns and switches. I like books and stories that encourage me to experience life from a different perspective.
I always enjoy reading Tami Hoag’s books.
I listened to the audio version of this book.
What a great book! It was very suspenseful, just a great who-done-it book.
Pick this one up!
I gave “Deeper Than the Dead” three stars two years ago. I’m giving this one four stars because this time the story is completed.
To me, the villain was obvious, but I have to wonder about the number of homicidal crazies running around on small California town between the two novels.
