I have secrets–old, ugly ones that can destroy the fragile bond between me and Ivy.So I stay silent, feel them fester and eat at me.But Ivy’s ignorance isn’t anyone’s bliss. It’s making her vulnerable to our enemies. And my keeping the secrets is nothing less than a betrayal. When she finds out, I might lose the only thing I’ve ever wanted……Ivy’s love.
This is part of a series that you have to read in order. The first two are full length cliffhangers, unlike those series that take what should have been one book and arbitrarily break it up. This series also connects with the Pryce family series as some characters are part of both series. Nadia Lee doesn’t disappoint.
This book felt like an endless game of cat and mouse.Like going into circles and while that was engaging it was also very boring at some points. It was a very long book, but just like in the first one,the interesting part came only at the end.
Tony was selfish.Very selfish.I tried to see reason behind him keeping secrets from Ivy-secrets that concern her directly-but I’ve failed. He didn’t tell her the truth because “He wasn’t ready”.That’s very nice and very selfish of him,and pits his concern for her at the back of my head.He is not cold and evil person, but in this book he was very selfish.Perhaps, had he told her the truth, thing would end better for him.
Ivy was very confused in this book. Her lack of memories is driving her insecurities and it’s making her weak and desperate to have them back. That’s normal, but her insecurity was really hard to read and it pissed me of.
She did one impulsive thing at the end,and that was just “last nail in the coffin” for me.I this she needs to grow up a little bit.
This book end in cliffhanger, and one very interesting.
I mean interesting enough for me to pick up the next book in the series.
This is the second book in a 3-part series by Nadia Lee. I was a little disappointed in this book. There was a lot of angst but no significant advancement of the plot. None of the questions from book one were answered. There are a ton of characters to keep track of—most of them shady. I just found by the end of book that I did not really care anymore. I won’t be reading book three.
The second book in the series waste no time in picking up where we left off in Sins. Throughout the book, readers continue the rollercoaster ride with Tony & Iris/Ivy. Of course, there were several emotional moments but funny one-liners did break up some of the drama which I liked. Oh, boy did this book live up to the title. I feel like I needed a notebook to keep up with all the secrets (joking, of course). I always appreciate an appearance or mention of characters for previous stories. I expect Tony and Ivy not to get there HEA just yet, but I wasn’t expecting some major twists. The author gave us more clues in this book and I have even more theories about if I right or way off. I can’t wait to see how the story ends in Mercy especially after that ending (You got us good).
And the awesomeness continues! Picking up right where Sins leaves off, my heart hurt for Ivy as she learned more truths about the past, and my heart hurt even for Tony, as he began to realize how his actions eventually affected not only him, but how Ivy was also affected. This installment kept me glued to my iPad with all the drama, secrets, lies, approximately 8793243 emotional moments, and plenty of sexiness to keep it evenly balanced. I can’t wait for book 3!
Oh to all the stars shining above this earth!!! This story absolutely is mind blowing!!!! The title should be secrets, lies, betrayal, lust, angst, love and passion! This story has it all! The storyline from the first book continues with Ivy finding some damaging truths and Anthony making some crucial decisions that will turn their world upside down once again. Nadia Lee’s writing skills will take you another level of wanting more. We are anxiously awaiting the next and final book of this amazing story of beautiful Ivy and mind blowing handsome Anthony Blackwood! Amazing and beautifully written dark romance
Secrets by Nadia Lee is aptly titled as book 2 sheds lights on past secrets and more secrets are uncovered.
Secrets picks up where Sins ended. Ivy learned more of the truth about her past and it breaks her apart. Tony made some big mistakes that cost him big time and he didn’t realize how much it would come back to affect him later and hurt him with Ivy.
In book 2, there is huge drama, rollercoaster emotions , big breakups, happy reunions, murder, devastating secrets, twists and turns, steamy romance and more twisty secrets. And yes – one epic cliffhanger.
Tony and Ivy’s emotional rollercoaster romance had me rooted to my seat, riveted as their story continues. I can’t wait to read and find out what happens, the secrets that still remain and if Ivy and Tony will get their deserved HEA.
MY RATING: 4.8 STARS *******
