Juno’s story is FINALLY here and what a story it is! Secrets of the World’s Worst Matchmaker is the story of Juno and Colton, two people who have been friends forever (and in love with each other as well). This friends to lovers story was SO much more than I expected and left me absolutely speechless. The banter, chemistry, and the friendship between Juno and Colton were fantastic. This is by far my favorite book out of the entire series and it was great to see the entire Bailey clan in this book. As usual, Piper Rayne ends this book with such a mic-drop which leads us to the last two books in the series!
Wow, this series just keeps giving and giving. Juno and Colton’s characters are so entwined in all the earlier books it was great to read their story.
This story was beautifully written, full of the laughs and occasional tears the Bailey’s seem to provide in every release. I loved the storyline and was really happy for the twist, I have waited from Book 1 for them to find their happy ending.
Now patiently waiting for the next Bailey book.
I’ve been eager for Juno and Colton’s story since the very beginning, but even more so after reading Operation Bailey Babies.
Juno and Colton have a friendship that spans from childhood to the present, and their story is a sweet, sexy, and angsty friends to lovers romance. I love getting glimpses of their past interactions, to better understand the undeniable bond they share.
The loss of their parents affected each of the Bailey siblings differently and for Juno, she’s afraid to loose anyone else she’s loves, and is determined to not put her heart on the line, even if it may already be too late.
I love the Bailey’s and their meddlesome ways. Secrets of the World’s Worst Matchmaker had quite a few twists and turns that I didn’t see coming and I loved that we got a glimpse into the final two siblings lives, and I cannot wait to see them find their happy ever after.
AHHHMAZING!!! That’s all I have to say. This book has it all with the best family-THE BAILEY’S
Colton and Juno oh my heart. This is a friends to lovers book with all the twists and romance.
Highly recommend
4.5 Stars
We’re back with the Bailey clan. I couldn’t wait to dive into this book. The wait for Juno’s book was so worth it. Not gonna lie I read this one in a day. I just couldn’t put it down. I love the Bailey family so much. I love all the new additions to the family. It makes me wish I could actually go to Lake Starlight to meet them. It was tough watching the two of them struggling with their new normal and wishing they would open their eyes. Well more Juno then anyone. Gosh Juno’s man is made of book boyfriend material. That man can make you swoon. Then the little tease to set up future books, all I have to say is give me now! This is a must read!! Well any book in his series is a must read!
This was so good! I’m giving it 4.5 out of 5 stars. This review is for an ARC, and reflects my honest opinion.
I liked both Juno and Colton in previous books, but there was a lot we never saw of their relationship until we were in their heads. I loved that this was friends-to-lovers, because the enemies-to-lovers trope oversaturated the market lately. I wish I had a best friend who was there for me unconditionally like Colton was! Be prepared for some angst and tears though!
There was something that caught me off guard while reading this, but after I found out, it made complete sense; I guess I just wasn’t expecting it. And I know that was incredibly vague, but I don’t want to spoil one of the twists. Juno always seemed a little standoffish with her siblings, and now we finally got some insight as to why. Poor girl! Colton was amazing, and I really loved his character. Seeing past couples, and new people as well, was fantastic.
This was yet another amazing read by this duo of authors. I can’t believe we’re getting down to the last couple books left in this series. I’ve been here since the first book, and I’ve loved every minute with this family. I highly recommend if you like contemporary, or small town, romances, and long series.
I have read all of the Bailey siblings books so far and this has to be the most emotional for me so far. Juno and Colton have been best friends for most of their lives. The jump to lovers seems like it will never happen even though the whole town assumes it will. Colton has decided to move on with his life and marry someone else. Juno cant seem to jump into more with him, especially now. Not everything is as it seems though. I too have been rooting for this pair. The fear of loosing a best friend though is real. There is no one to talk to if things go south in the relationship since the person you talk to is the one you have the problem with. I get it but the leap might be worth everything. Juno has some heavy things going on in her life besides Colton and it makes her question everything. Even the fact that she belongs to her family. Her world is crumbling but she doesnt know what to do to save it. Colton is her rock and she needs to pull away but he wont let her. Colton is the most patient hero I’ve ever read. He has been waiting his whole life for Juno to be ready. He never gives up on her though. I love this family and Grandma Dori so much and cannot believe the series is almost done. I find myself torn between reading faster to find out what happens and reading slower since i know there are only two more books.
Great story, great couple.
So for anyone who has read this series from the beginning – you have probably been dying for this story and I’m sure it will not disappoint. I started in the middle-ish of this series, so I haven’t had quite the angst of waiting for these two.
Juno and Colton are the best of friends. But throughout their relationship – they’ve had some moments which led to some awkwardness, but nothing like finding out Colton is going to marry someone else. Ugh – that will tug at your heart strings.
“I’m not surprised to be getting married, but I am surprised to whom, since I promised my heart to someone other than my bride-to-be a long time ago.”
Juno has loved Colton longer than she is willing to admit and Colton has known of his love for Juno, but he is tired of waiting for something that he doesn’t see happening.
“I’ve loved you my entire life. Do you know what that’s like? To pine away for someone day after day, year after year, someone who keeps insisting that we can only be friends because she couldn’t stand to lose me? Let me tell you – it’s heartbreaking. And tiring. And the hardest fucking thing I’ve ever done, okay?”
This one will surely tug at your heartstrings and will probably cause a few tears. But overall – it was a completely enjoyable story with a lot of heart.
I have to admit I do get confused with so many Bailey connections, but otherwise, this story flowed easily and was a quick read for me. I had to find out what happens!
I thoroughly enjoyed it and am looking forward to the rest of the Bailey books.
I voluntarily requested and read an advance reader copy.
This family, this series, and this setting will forever be one of my all-time favorites. I love each of the Bailey’s so much and I am convinced I have no favorite and no one can make me choose. I fell head over heels for Juno and Colton’s friends-to-lovers story just like every other Bailey sibling’s story.
Colton has been by Juno’s side, as best friends, since they were just six years old. I loved their journey to a happily ever after. They have both loved each other for so long but while one of them is sick of waiting, the other is terrified changing things will leave them all alone in the end. The couple of flashbacks when they were younger were perfect to show how strong their relationship is and how deep their feelings go.
This book has all of the things we have come to know and love when it comes to the Baileys. I can’t wait for the final two books in this series. The breadcrumbs we’ve been given about how things may go, have me itching to get my hands on Sedona and Kingston’s stories.
Grateful to have received a complimentary ARC copy to honestly review.
Juno and Colter take me back into the Bailey world that I am MADLY in love with. Yes everyone needs to read this story because it is part of one of my favorite book worlds.
This is a friends to lover story that has more of a tameness to it than the others in the series. That isn’t a bad thing but it gave this story a softer feel than I was expecting. Colter did cause some mayhem with his engagement to another. Eek
Thank god a beautiful resolution and understanding to everything occurred. Having said that, it wasn’t what I thought would happen. Yikes. What makes me happiest in this book is how I get to revisit the AMAZING Bailey Family with grandma leading the hilarity.
Ok enough said… being spoilerish is just mean. Anyway, Happy Reading Everyone.
You guys … get Kleenex.
This family has always had an air of emotion to their stories but Juno and Colton went a bit further than just emotion. It isn’t just their journey, it’s the decisions this author duo made in the unfolding of the journey. The flashbacks to when they were just kids not only added to our understanding of their background/history but it added a layer of emotion beyond just a *happy sigh*; it added a layer to their unbreakable bond. GAH, I loved this story so much!
I did quite a bit of laughing as well with this story. These two couldn’t get out of their own heads to save their lives … until they did and then it was just glorious. I am always so darn entertained when I read a Piper Rayne story that it’s ridiculous LOL Sometimes, I just want to binge their books for an entire week because they just make me happy!!
Oh denial, you fickle friend. I think one of the best things about Juno and Colton is that we get to see them throughout the first 6 books. We get glimpses into their friendship and we get to see that everyone knows they’re meant to be together, except for them. I have been excited about their story for a while now, but was a little skeptical when it entailed Colton being engaged. I am not a fan of someone being engaged and in love with someone other than their fiancé, BUT here’s the thing, Piper Rayne NEVER disappoints. They handled this plot in way that could get around any of my doubts. Do I still think Colton is a idiot for getting engaged in the first place, OF COURSE, but it all helped the reader get to know more about his side of the friendship.
One of my favorite elements of The Bailey’s series is that each and every one of the Bailey siblings is dealing with the repercussions of their parents’ death and how that played out in their family during the aftermath. We also learn more about Juno’s insecurities when it comes to being a Bailey and a matchmaker. When we were exposed to her in other books, I didn’t feel like I got that glimpse into what makes her who she is. I loved seeing these two come together and how their insecurities, experiences, and personalities played into it. I think everyone will enjoy this one!
Now, I just need to simultaneously hug and yell at Piper Rayne. THAT ENDING. They always set us up for the coming books, and this one was a freakin’ mic drop! I’ve been looking forward to Kingston’s Book: Winning my Best Friend’s Girl, BUT now I just know Sedona’s book is going to wreck me in the BEST WAY. I seriously can’t wait for Rules for Dating Your Ex.
Thank you so much to Piper Rayne and Wildfire Marketing Solutions for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.
Finally, finally, finally! I have been waiting for Juno Colton’s books since I read Austin and Holly’s. I don’t know why but I just knew their story would be amazing and I wasn’t wrong. I know I have said this about most of the Bailey books, because let’s be honest, they are all amazing, but this one is probably my favorite. I am so in love with Colton. He is just perfection and everything that Juno needs.
Someone who always felt out of place in the large, close family, Juno has always been looking for her thing, her place. Turns out her place has been and always will be with her best friend Colton. If she would only get over the fair of losing him. Good thing Colton has no intention of going anywhere.
I was not at all shocked when we found out the details behind the engagement.
We are only 2 books away from all the Bailey siblings HEA’s and I cannot wait for them. Although the idea of this series being over is bitter sweet. It has, without a doubt, become one of my most favorite family series of all times. I am so in love with every single one of these amazing characters. They feel real to me. Kingston is next.
**I was generously provided with an advanced readers copy of this book in exchange fair and honest review**
Juno and Colton have been friends forever. Everyone wonders if they’ve ever been romantically involved. Juno is a matchmaker and set Colton up with his now fiance. Now Juno has found out that she is in love with Colton and not just as a friend. Is it too late? We see flashbacks to when they were younger and what led to their friendship. Will Juno quit sabotaging herself with Colton? There are funny moments and some tearjerker moments. I always get tears when people remember Juno’s parents’ accident. Grandma Dori has to get involved, of course. I love her ability to get her grandchildren to see what’s in front of them. This is another wonderful Bailey book. I can’t wait for the next one. I was lucky enough to get an ARC to read before it was published and have my own copy ordered now. I’m leaving my honest review.
Sometimes, love just has to wait.
Secrets Of The World’s Worst Matchmaker is the seventh book in ‘The Baileys’ series by Piper Rayne. It’s sweet and romantic, has a swoony hero, and a heroine who is lost in her head.
Colton and Juno have been in all the previous Bailey books. We’ve heard Juno’s siblings saying with much certainty that they loved each other and belonged together. Colton secretly agreed. This man has loved Juno for years, but she’s kept him at arm’s length and very firmly in the ‘friend zone. So firmly, he gave up trying to get out of it and resigned himself to never having Juno as his girl.
When Colton suddenly decides to get married, Juno is faced with the hard fact of actually losing her best friend, the thing that she had tried so hard to avoid by not falling into the love trap. Now, she has to face the truth and realize that she does want Colton as more than just a friend. Will he believe her, or put it down to jealousy?
This was a slightly more angsty and at times heartbreaking story. The first few chapters especially tugged at my heart-strings and brought tears to my eyes. Colton has been there for Juno all her life. They’ve been friends since they were six, and this guy? Oh, my god, his love for Juno was so strong and beautiful.
Juno has a lot more depth to her than we’ve seen before, she’s strong-willed but her fears and worries have made her reluctant to give love a real try. Only Colton can give her the strength she needs, but will she see that before it’s too late?
I read this book in one sitting, I just couldn’t put it down. There’s so much happening with past events getting brought to the light.
But, above all, the Bailey clan proves that family matters.
FINALLY!!!! We all know I love me some Baileys, and Juno and Colton are now my favorite of them all. From the start, I wanted them to end up together, but could never figure out what the hang ups were on either of their parts. I could totally understand not wanted to lose your BFF and rock, but come on. Well, the cumulation of their story just hit me in all the right places. I needed some serious tissues for this one. Happy tears, with sad tears, with angry tears and some more happy tears! Yes, that is a lot of tears, but they all end up on the happy side. I just loved this story so much!!
Juno and Colton have been best friends since they were six. They’ve been through so much together that Juno refuses to cross that line and possibly lose her best friend. But when Colton gets engaged, Juno finally realizes her feelings for Colton.
Secrets of the World’s Worst Matchmaker is another great book about the Baileys full of laughs and heartfelt moments. And that surprise at the end! I’m excited to read the rest of the Baileys’ stories.
Oh, Bailey fans. You think you know. But you don’t. There are so many secrets and twists in this one…for Juno’s storyline and for Kingston’s and Sedona’s.
I don’t think we are ready for the last two books. At. All.
Colton is just as sweet and amazing as always, and when he gets mad? He’s pretty hot. Colton is caring, loyal, funny, and patient. So very patient. And finally seeing his side of the story? My. Heart. As an honorary Bailey, like Liam, Colton has always been a part of the story – through good times and bad. Unfortunately, Juno has spent years ignoring how well she and Colton fit together.
Juno has always been a bit of a wildcard. She isn’t as easy to read as her siblings, and she doesn’t show her feelings. Since her parents died, she has spent so much time suppressing her feelings and avoiding plans that she comes close to losing the one person she worries about losing the most.
I had a lot of trouble connecting with Juno. And I’ve struggled with her character through all 7 books. There is a stubbornness to her and an immaturity that rubs me the wrong way. She definitely made me angry a few times! That being said, I very much enjoyed SWWM. What I really loved about this one? The flashbacks to different points in time. They not only illustrate the growing relationship between Juno and Colton, and serve as a way to help us understand Juno a little bit better, but they also show us more of who the Baileys are as a family.
I love the relationship between Colton and Juno. It is so fluid – and anyone with eyes can see that they belong together…in a forever kind of way. It is painful to watch them as they try to navigate the new normal of him being with someone else, while still trying to maintain their friendship.
What I love the most about this series is how every book gives us a little bit more of this family and their dynamics.
Brace yourselves. Books 8 and 9 are sure to be a bumpy ride.
4.5 Stars
Sometimes a series that starts out amazing starts to fizzle as the book count climbs, but that is certainly not the case with The Baileys Series. I’ve loved every single book so far, and while I’ve been really excited about Juno & Colton’s story I was also a little nervous. I mean, this is book 7! There’s no way Piper Rayne can keep delivering amazing stories about the same family, right? WRONG! Not only is Secrets of the World’s Worst Matchmaker and amazing read, but the setups for the final two books are promising even more incredible stories.
This is one of the books I was most excited about since Juno & Colton’s relationship has been teased from the beginning of the series. What I thought was a simple friends to lovers was slowly revealed to be so much more, and by the time we got to their story, it was obviously more way more complicated. Their story was way more than I expected, and I loved every second.
“Life keeps happening to you whether you choose to live it or not”
.
If you’re expecting a sweet and funny story, fair warning that’s not what you’re getting. Juno & Colton’s story is told through the years, from childhood to now. I loved how we were able to get the full magnitude of their relationship through flashbacks, and each new memory made me root for them even more.
I loved getting to know these characters even more, and the rest of the Baileys were never far away. While this book was a bit more angsty than the others, Grandma Dori was right there lightening the mood with her signature one-liners and ever-present meddling. And while I normally say she is my favorite part of every Bailey book, I think Ethel may have stolen the show this time around!
If you’ve made it through the first 6 Bailey books and are as in love with this family as I am, hurry up and read this book. And if you haven’t started yet, what are you waiting for?! This quickly became one of my favorite series, and this book has definitely solidified its place at the top!
I’m late to read this series but jumped in with Secret World of the Worst matchmaker because it sounded so good and boy was it. A twisty turny, friends to lovers read that will keep you on your toes. Juno waited too long to tell Colton how she felt and now he’s getting married. What’s a girl to do? This book is the answer. I loved the writing and characters. I can’t wait to read more and will be going back to catch up.
