JuneHow could I resist him?Even if I wanted to, I couldn’t.Those beautiful blue eyes, as clear as the sky, boring into mine.It had been eight years since I escaped my hometown.I’d turned my back on that part of my life.Tried to forget as best as I could. My career was my life and that’s how I wanted it to be.That was until life decided that it wasn’t done with me yet.It sent him to me.My high … with me yet.
It sent him to me.
My high school sweetheart.
The boy I’d left behind.
Only, he wasn’t a boy anymore.
He was a man now—and one of the richest men in America to boot.
And he just happened to walk into my law firm.
How was I going to survive when my past was coming back to haunt me?
Tyler
I didn’t realize I’d been searching for the girl who broke my heart.
Not until I found her, at least.
When I laid eyes on her, it was like my whole world shifted sideways.
She was still as stunning as the day she’d left me behind, all those years ago.
In an instant, everything changed.
The wind was knocked out of me.
Life had been going so smoothly for me.
I had more money than I knew what to do with.
I had women throwing themselves at me left and right.
I had property, cars, and plenty of time to do whatever I pleased.
And yet, the only thing I could think about was how perfect she was.
And how happy I was to have her back in my life.

Secret Intentions is a unique take on friends, by way of enemies, to lovers romance! Stella June Yates left the small town of Temple as soon as she could after graduation. She needed to get away from the bad memories and feeling of emptiness she had back there. Ty Huxley was her high school sweetheart, but their relationship ended badly. He didn’t want to leave Temple and was crushed when Stella was accepted into Miami Dade University. Now she’s interning at the law offices of Page, Patel and Hawkins with hopes of becoming a lawyer. Her boss, James Page, is a certified bully and yells at his staff to get ready for the wealthy client who’s coming to decide if PPH is the firm that he wants to represent him. Ty has made a fortune in real estate in California, but now wants to relocate to Miami and hire the best law firm to manage his money. He spots someone across the room who looks familiar as he listens to the presentation, but he doesn’t know anybody named June. He doesn’t know that Stella has started to use her middle name in her new life. He knows who she is and has mixed memories of her. This is the girl that he spent so much time with, but he can’t remember her every being happy. He wants to see if they could make a go of it if they started all over again. After June realized that she couldn’t deny knowing him anymore, she decided that she would give him a chance. But her attitude didn’t change. She is not a very sympathetic character because every time something goes wrong, she blames others for it. When she and Ty are caught in a compromising situation in her office, she’s called into her boss’s office and immediately let go. She storms over to Ty’s home and screams, “I got fired! It’s all your fault!” Such a childish reaction, unable to take any responsibility. They do get their HEA, but Ty worked much harder to get there. For her part, Stella does become a more likeable person, even though she’s still a character you love to hate! This storyline is well-conceived and well-written and the characters are definitely believable Well done!
A beautiful and well written heartwarming second chance romance. This intriguing storyline has scarred and suspicious feelings heartache, fears, twists and turns, romance and love. A wonderful HEA with likeable people and full of chemistry and emotions.

Loved it!
June did everything she could to get away from her small New Hampshire town and its gossip and mean girls, even her boyfriend. She hasn’t been back and has no reason to return to those memories. And then one day those memories come walking into her office.
Ty has made a name for himself. When his sweetheart left him for greener pastures he decided to apply himself and he was successful. But he never forgot the one who left. Until one day he walks into a law firm and who should be there but her – Stella, now June. Can he convince her to give him another chance?
This a new author for me. The book is well written. The characters are well defined. Loved the angst and Steamy love. All in all very well written. A great read.

I had a hard time getting into this one from the beginning. The backstory was important but I think I may have like it woven in to the main story more. It took a long time to get through but eventually the pages started to turn faster.
I will gladly read from this author again and would recommend this book as a good one.
A cute story that brings high school sweethearts back together after years apart. I enjoyed reading this book.

I received an ARC Copy of this book and I voluntarily chose to review it. It wasn’t really my type of book but that is on me. Jane (Stella) comes across as wimpy at times, it gets better toward the end of the book. The author did a great job writing this. Book is well written with well developed characters. I will encourage you to get this book and give it a chance you won’t be disappointed.
I am conflicted about this book. The characters were likeable, but I felt they could have both been a little more dynamic in their personalities. Ty used the power of his wealth in his dealings with the law partners but seemed unsure with June, while June allowed herself to be browbeaten by her boss out of desperation to keep her job. The author hinted at something about bullying and gossip in June’s past, but never stated it clearly. Ty and June got the happy ending they deserved.
I enjoyed reading this book as a quick read, even though I was left with questions. Ms. Faye is a new to me author and I look forward to reading more of her work.

Riveting & angsty but heart warming page turner.
I can so relate to this stunning story, young love & a reconnection some years later. The insecurities, the challenges & the unwarrented lashing out before listening to your heart instead of your head. Been there, done that. Flawlessly written, this remarkable author crafts a compelling story of life, loss & love & I highly recommend it. I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.
Reconquest and discovery
Good romance, well written that is quite exciting despite some simplicity, but is counterbalanced by endearing characters.
The heroine June / Stella is stuck in a job in Miami that she thought was a revenge on the locked life she had before in her small town, with her rumors and behaviors that could be unhealthy. But she works in a law firm that makes her work as a paralegal when she could be a lawyer, and that behaviors or rumors are not better. His ex Tyler, is looking for a law firm to represent him. He became rich and left the small town to develop his company. June had fled because she could not stand the pressure of people, mockery and she had left Tyler. As soon as they recognize each other, something is reborn, but all that remindsJune of the small town and she’s a little depressed, so Tyler is also a memory that discomfort her, even if he did nothing.
However, he helps June to understand that what she fled, she partially reproduced it in Miami, but the path is long for Tyler to convince June to give them a second chance.
I liked this relationship that makes June evolve to take back her life.
Some scenes may be a little hot.

This is the story of Stella June and Ty. The storyline is good. It draws your emotions into the book. Overall a good read though there were some parts that bothered me and felt that needed more attention.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. It started out a little slow but it was filling you in on their background on how they ended up in the places they are at today. June (Stella) was trying not to let her past rule her life. Getting away from small town of Temple New Hampshire life to the big city life in Miami Florida. No Ty on the other hand made the best of his life in Temple. Making millions of dollars and taking care of his parents along the way. Living in California and making his way to Florida to live there not knowing he would run into June after eight years at one of the law firms he was looking to hire for his businesses. Ty living the rich playboy life style and June trying to make it in the big city. Ty wanting June back in his life and trying to put the pieces back together again and June giving him the cold shoulder and trying to keep everyone and everything from touching her life. Ty doesn’t like June boss and all the employees don’t like June boss but since he is one of the three that are partners in the law firm they have to deal with him.
The book was an entertain-able good read. It ended up being a happy ever after book. I would love to read more from this author. Not trying to give away every detail in the book or play by play of what the book was about. Its worth the money to see happen to June(Stella) and Ty on finding their way back to each other and seeing the sparks fly. June had to over come her demons of the past and Ty had to learn to stop throwing money at things he had to work out and fix instead of using his money to fix. June had to learn to work beside Ty since he wanted her on his team.

This was a beautiful love story of second chances that was so well done; it was entertaining; but also was heartwarming and emotional. This is a story about Stella (June) Yates and Tyler (Ty) Huxley, who were high school sweethearts, and who get to have a second chance at love. June and Ty broke up after high school because she wanted to get away from her small town. June is a lawyer, but working as a paralegal for a most prestigious law firm, but she worked hard to get where she is now. There are so many words I could use to describe how freaking amazingly perfect Ty is—tall, handsome, sexy as hell, protective, loyal, caring, romantic, strong, hot-headed, very wealthy, prominent and owns his own real estate company…you get the point, right? Upon meeting again after eight years at June’s law office, he captivates her all in the span of just one encounter, and something about the way he makes her feel sparks buried memories from a past that she wishes could just stay buried. Find out what happens between June and Ty—will they be able to pick up where they left off in their relationship from high school or will June feel that Ty coming back into her life reminds her too much of the place she got away from? The story effectively preserves the virtues and hopes of these sentimentally strong characters. This is the first time I read a book by Crystal Faye, but I assure you it will not be the last. Crystal Faye’s books are interesting with engrossing love stories, interesting plots, and artfully developed main characters. The storyline is fluid, and it will pique your interest.
An outstanding and enjoyable read! The storyline is well-developed, well written, and relatable. It is drama-filled, funny, and witty; a fun fast pace second chance romance with intriguing characters. There is office drama and ups and downs adding to the overall enjoyment of this book. Definitely recommended!

This was an interesting and entertaining love story. Ty was so clueless and like a bull in a china shop around June. I felt sorry for Ty that he didn’t understand how messed up June was. There was some twists and turns but everything worked out in the end with great characters. I enjoyed the book.
This was a very enjoyable read with entertaining characters with ups and downs along their way to their hea
