However her family’s fame and notoriety will ensure that the tape gets seen everywhere, even if she pays the blackmail. So she decides to let the chips fall as she’s going to disappear until the press goes and finds another … press goes and finds another story.
Sugar farmer Maverick Appellton put out an online ad for a wife, not expecting anyone. But he needs a mother for his son Carter. Most women just sent him a letter, but when Jess Taylor shows up on his farm, she sends everything out of order. However just as he’s starting to trust Jess with his son and possibly his heart, he finds out she’s the notorious Catherine Morgan.
Neither was prepared for the heartwarming chemistry or what happens when all her secrets come home to the farm.

This is a sweet romance about Catherine Morgan, aka Jess Taylor, and Maverick Appleton. Because her last name is Morgan, Catherine finds herself in a very sticky situation which, she the information be divulged, would make her front page news and fodder for the gossip rags. With help from her cousins, she leaves her Morgan name in Miami to apply for the position of nanny for Maverick Appleton in northern Florida..
The time frame of this book is about two weeks, stretching the limits of believability for falling in love. However, while not very likely, the story was delightful. Because this is about the Morgans, there are loads of drama. How Jess and Maverick wade through the muck to find their HEA ending is pure Victoria Pinder writing. While there are some bedroom scenes, they were kept clean with a slight peak inside. A very enjoyable read that I rate 4 stars.
Victoria Pinder has returned to being the Queen of (mostly) clean sizzle in this NC17 attempt to avoid blackmail that takes less than a day to read. I read an Advance Reader Copy and this voluntary review is my own opinion.
I enjoyed this story very much. Loved the characters.
Lots of tension, attraction, with suspicion, ex-boyfriend, baby mama and a healthy dose of sex.
Let’s not discount Along with the typical Morgan dramas of extortion, leaked photos, secret marriage and unfinished divorce, there are also misunderstandings and confusion.
Always expect the unexpected from Ms Pinder. Another great story. Can’t wait for more.
I received an author’s copy and have left an honest review
This is the story of Catherine Morgan. All of the Morgans have large families with a couple sets of half siblings, but Catherine’s backstory is even more muddled as there is two of herself. She was known as Jess Taylor from age five until her college years when her siblings had moved from France to the states and found her when her adopted sister started dating her true older brother. Now she’s the billionaire heiress being blackmailed by a highschool fling with few seconds of a sex tape taken without permission or her knowledge. Since the older brother Peter, head of Morgan Banking is marrying soon and his many investors are invited, he tells her to stay low. Her roommates are familiar with Maverick’s story, a farmer with his newborn baby abandoned by its mother, who has an online ad for a wife. The ad was a joke by his foreman and taken down by the time she got to his farm mansion, but Maverick is in a hard spot and decides to take her on as nanny for a few days. What happens is insta-love, though neither believe in romance, but as Maverick’s competion is one of Catherine’s in-laws, she neglects telling Maverick she is a Morgan. Oh my, the pages are flying! I volunteered this review of another great episode of the Morgans after reading an ARC.
Jess is not comfortable as Catherine Morgan. So, when Catherine is blackmailed by an old boyfriend with a sex tape, she turns it over to her brothers to handle and goes underground. Living as Jess, she answers Maverick’s ad for a wife. They work out an arrangement where she is the nanny to start. This is a wonderfully told story with a HEA. We see glimpses of Morgans we have seen in the past and see Jess come to terms with being a Morgan. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
When Catherine/Jess went to a farm to get out of the spotlight, she didn’t expect to fall in love with Maverick and his son. She also did not realize her family name would not be welcome in his home. What happens when he finds out she is a Morgan? Will he forgive her otr turn her away? A nice romance between two unlikely people. I received a complimentary copy and I am voluntarily reviewing.
While it took a series of unfortunate events to get them together, Jess and Maverick are made for each other. Secrets, conflict, and self-doubt run rampant through the story. If you enjoyed the other books in this series as I have, I think that you will enjoy this one as well. If you haven’t read the others, it is adequately self contained to enjoy alone.
I received a copy of this book as a gift. This is my honest review.
What a great book. Once I started it was hard to put down. This is the 14th book in the House of Morgan Series and is Catherine’s story. She goes undercover as Jess Taylor (one of her names) in order to ‘vanish’ for a while and let her sex tape scandal die down. Her ‘off the grid’ job is fake fiance to a sexy billionaire farmer and temporary nanny to his infant son. He gorgeous and the sparks fly. Chemistry overload and Jess/Catherine finds herself contented with her new life. The only problem, Maverick has no clue that she the famous Catherine Morgan of the house of Morgan. Lots of fireworks and drama when the truth immerges. No spoiler here but does Jess get to keep the two guys she’s fallen in love with or does being a Morgan cause it all to come crashing down? Victoria Pinder continues to prove her talent as a gifted storyteller and there’s no better place to lose yourself than in a House of Morgan book. I read an arc and voluntarily chose to review.
