Erica and Jason had the chemistry but they also had to much baggage. Highly recommend
Secret Christmas Twins was a heartwarming read filled with realistic issues that our society faces today—family members estranged due to addiction issues. The hero and heroine had a lot to overcome from their own rough childhood before they would be able to accept the current situation. Erica Lindholm caring and protection of her friends’ twins brought struggles and a confrontation by Jason Stephanidis before she could verbalize the truth. Will the truth bring more damage or healing into lives that are struggling? I appreciate the beautiful faith message in this book and look forward to reading more by Lee Tobin McClain.
A lovely, heartwarming winter love story! Two people each escaping something from their past which also acts to be the catalyst to bring them together. And the twins bring babies to life in a truthful and imaginative way. Can’t wait to read another book by this author!
Secrets, I hate them! They can ruin something good. However a mother will do what she has to for her kids. At what lengths will you go for a friend? Erica was tested in so many ways. How do you know who you can and can’t trust, especially when your heart says one thing and you were told another? Thank goodness for Papa Andy and his years making him wise.
What a fun, heart-warming book. I hadn’t read any Lee Tobin McClain books until this one (though I have quite a few loaded on my Kindle….that to-be-read mountain of mine seems insurmountable these days). This book was engaging and well-written. Those who enjoy contemporary inspirational romance will thoroughly enjoy this book.
The author has an easy-to-read writing style that draws the reader in from the first chapter. Her dialogue is fresh and real. The storyline is never stagnant and the events that link the story together flow well. Faith component in the story is well-portrayed and the recommitment scenes are heartfelt and sincere. The setting of a small town in Pennsylvania during Christmas season is always fun.
The characters in this book are flawed, broken, yet so relatable and lovable. Jason is the tough cop, running away from his past mistakes and trying not to repeat them (at least in his mind). He sees life in black and white without much wiggle room. Erica is a compassionate, loving, gentle woman pretending to be the twins’ mom in order to save them from the fate of foster care and the unknown relatives. Mikey and Teddy are the fifteen-month-old twins of Jason’s sister who capture the reader’s heart as soon as they enter the book. Throw into this mix of great characters Jason’s wise but stubborn grandpa and the story comes into full bloom. Theirs is a story of forgiveness, redemption, grace, and love – perfect for the Christmas season.
I received a copy of this book from the author. I was not required to write a favorable review. All comments and opinions are solely my own.
